A Rosh Hashanah message from Jersey

I wonder if this is how it felt in Sodom, and Gomorrah, the day before the fire and brimstone fell from the sky…

We have been warned.

Sharpton saw valley of bones at rally

Byron York of the Washington Examiner wrote about Al Sharpton’s characterization of the democrat coalition as a bunch of old dry bones when he addressed the attendees of the liberal One Nation rally in Washington, D. C. on Saturday.  Pretty funny when you think about it.

What the rally lacked most was life. That became painfully clear during Sharpton’s remarks, when he tried to illustrate the Democratic coalition’s current plight by telling a Bible story.

“They say we’re apathetic,” Sharpton told the crowd. “They say we’re not energized. Well you know, I’m a preacher. There’s a story in the Bible about a man named Ezekiel. Ezekiel saw a valley full of dry bones. Somebody said, ‘Can these bones live?’ And the way he made them live was he started connecting them together.”

“Son of man, can these bones live?”
I said, “O Sovereign LORD, you alone know.”  🙂

In God We Trust

Just ahead of the opening of the Capitol Visitor Center in 2008, conservative lawmakers protested the factual inaccuracies and the omission of historical religious content in the Center.

During an initial tour, Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) noticed that the phrase “E. Pluribus Unum” – Latin for “from many, one” – was erroneously described as the national motto rather than “In God We Trust.”

Congress passed a joint resolution directing Ayers [Architect of the Capitol, Stephen Ayers, appointed by Obama to a 10 year term] to engrave “In God We Trust” and the Pledge of Allegiance prominently in the center.

The Office of the Architect of the Capitol has approximately 2,600 employees and an annual budget of nearly $600 million.

This was challenged in court and thrown out because the challenging party had no standing. They may try again.

This is the Visitor Center that, at its opening, Harry Reid referenced the “smelly Americans” who had been bothering him.

The most jarring and important point to me is that the E Pluribus Unum had already been engraved in the stone upon somebody’s decision and instruction. I’d like to know who. This is a prime example of the underhanded campaign – yes it is a campaign – to remove God from our history and from our lives today. Socialism and God do not go well together. And don’t you know if whoever is behind this could, they would remove every reference to God in Washington, D. C.. but lucky for us they really are “carved in stone.”

All I can say is we really have to pay attention. These are sneaky, shrewd (so and so’s – I restrain myself)  who are relying on our complacency.

The website called “Americans United” posted this:

November 2009 People & Events

Months of carping by the Religious Right and its allies paid off in September when the words “In God We Trust” were chiseled into the main hall of the Capitol Visitor Center.

Carping?  🙂  I didn’t even know about this so I have only just begun to carp.

“One Nation” Socialist Rally

This is about as plain as it gets.

Socialist protesters and paraphernalia dominated Saturday’s left-wing protest rally in Washington, DC. The so-called “One Nation” rally was led by labor unions as an attempt to counter Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally, which took place in DC on 8-28-2010.

And their leader is the president of the United States, everybody should know that by now.  It’s high time, past time, to choose a side.   What is depicted here is Obama’s “One Nation” (without God).  It’s in our face now and I don’t see any middle ground. So I’m firmly down on the side of One Nation Under God.

From The Hill:

President Obama’s political organizing group is throwing its hat in the ring of increasingly popular marches in Washington D.C. as it pushed supporters on Saturday to attend next weekend’s rally on the National Mall.

Organizing for America, the Democratic National Committee’s group that lauds Obama’s legislative policies, sent out the e-mail blast advertising the Oct. 2 One Nation, Working Together rally as “the biggest progressive demonstration in decades.”

But here’s the good news.

America is not going socialist.

The progressives/socialists have a foothold because we have been complacent and because we have not admitted to ourselves these people have been working hard to destroy America for a long time. Now they are in the white house.  But we are not going to any godless socialist/communist society.

We are going to put a stop to this, I can assure you.  We will fight this with every ounce of strength we can muster, and with God’s help we will win this battle.

We start in November.  In fact, we have already begun the fight with the primaries.  This will not stand.

See more information and a list of the sponsors here.

Photos you won’t see on CNN. At least I didn’t see these images on CNN or FOX for that matter. I think MSNBC was on “life inside a prison” when I checked.

Report from Washington – Restoring Honor Rally

Seeing is believing.  Huge crowd.  Totally peaceful.  My fellow Americans.  Wishing I could have been there.

We could begin to restore honor by the mainstream media and others telling the truth – just tell the truth.

An eye witness account:

Just got home from the rally. It was incredible. I was at the 9/12 event and incredibly, this was even bigger. It was packed so solid from the Lincoln Memorial to the WWII Memorial (~ 3/4 mile?) that you could barely cross the mall to get to the port-a-potties. From the WWII Memorial to the Washington Monument (Another 1/4 mile?) it was packed also, but not quite as dense.

Just as with all the other American patriot rallies, I saw no problems—and no garbage left behind. Lots of friendly faces.

The most memorable moment: Reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing the Star Spangled Banner with a million others. Not many dry eyes—incredibly moving and a feeling I will never forget.

Obama spent at least $236,000 today just to make a speech!!

As President Barack Obama flies Monday to Chicago for a midday speech on health-care reform, the round trip on Air Force One will run about $236,000, according to government estimates of the operating costs for one of the top symbols, and perks, of the presidency.

But that does not include such expenses as Secret Service protection, motorcades and helicopter transports.

My goodness. He just got back from a town hall in Wisconsin.  Can’t he just make a speech in Washington?

See Chicago Tribune:

This is infuriating.
