Faisal Shahzad arrested for bomb attempt

Finally some names.

A 19 year old girl from Bridgeport, Connecticut, named Peggy Colas sold the Nissan for $1,300 in $100 bills,to a soft-spoken Middle Eastern man, apparently without signing the title over to him, which requires notarization.  I guess he didn’t care if he had a title since he intended to just blow it up.  I wonder if Peggy thought that was a little strange, that he didn’t want the title, especially since he reportedly told her he was going to be using it just to ride around in.

I’m not sure how, but the connection was made between that purchase and a 30 year old Faisal Shahzad, who was arrested last night by removing him from a flight to Dubai, which was literally taxiing to take off.  Two other men were also removed along with him.  Question:  If there was a BOLO out on him, how did he get on the plane?

All he needs is a couple horns and a red cape.

Faisal Shahzad is a recently naturalized U. S. citizen from Pakistan.  “Recently” means I don’t know what.   I heard it was last year.

It was April 17, 2009.

And I heard all weekend, it’s a white man, it’s a white man, it’s a white man.  This racial profiling has got to stop.

A quote from Atlas Shurgged:

“An Islamic terrorist named Shahzad Faisal is the Time Square bomber according to media reports. He is Muslim of Pakistani heritage with dual citizenship in the United States, a registered Democrat in the state of Connecticut who may be an Obama donor. It is unclear at the time of this writing whether he was recently naturalized.”

I’m glad Mayor Bloomberg was not in charge of the investigation.   His opinion is not even worth the quarter he was willing to bet.

“If I had to guess 25 cents, this would be exactly that. Homegrown, or maybe a mentally deranged person, or somebody with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something. It could be anything,” he said.

Who would have ever guessed that a guy like Shahzad would have been so opposed to the health care bill!!

Bloomberg is certainly no Giuliani.

Another arrest has been made in Pakistan, maybe more.  New reports are saying 8 people are in custody in Pakistan.

Well, the Taliban said they were responsible.  When will we ever realize the Taliban is much more truthful than the American officials and media.

Lucky for us he was not a SUICIDE bomber.  He valued his life a little too much or he could have blown that van and everything around it to smithereens.

Who Is Registered Owner SUV Containing Times Square Bomb? (Update2)

It’s all over the internet that the police have located and interviewed the registered owner of the SUV containing the Times Square bomb.

QUESTION:  Who is it?  Is he/she a suspect?  Not a suspect?  How did a bomb end up in this vehicle?  They know who it is.  Why the secret?

They have released the video of a suspicious man changing his shirt, but not the name of the owner of the SUV.  Why not?

Am I the only one who is curious about the owner of this vehicle?

Wouldn’t that be an important piece of the investigation?

The Taliban has taken credit for it but Janet says, “Nah.”  It’s “amateurish.”  I don’t know, but box cutters seem a little amateurish to me.

But who owns the vehicle?

UPDATE:  Just heard that the owner sold the SUV to  man who looked Asian? and I didn’t catch the other description, for a few hundred dollars.  But when you sell a car, don’t you sign over the title and the registration?  So the car should not have still been in the seller’s name, right?

The police say he is not considered a suspect.  They still have not identified him.   I wonder how the seller and the buyer came in contact with each other.

UPDATE2:  ABC reported that a person of interest has been identified.  The sale of this vehicle was online for cash about 3 weeks ago.  This led authorities to a possible suspect who is a naturalized U. S. citizen with ties to Pakistan (of Pakistani descent).  His name is not released yet either.  This is not the person observed on the video, supposedly.
