Obama “Amused” at tea parties

That pesky old Constitution and Freedom of Speech, sure is a riot, isn’t it?

But…..Thank you for the crumbs.  I believe it amounted to about $13.00 a week.

You would think somebody would stop and consider what all these citizens are saying.  I guess it’s that socialist left brain thinking.  “Just say thank you for all I have done, and shut up.”  I don’t know why but it makes me think of maybe an abusive husband or parent, who smacks and then says, “Oh, look at all I have done for you.  What would you do without me?”

President Barack Obama struck a hyperpartisan note Thursday, telling Democrats that he was “amused” by the Tax Day Tea Party rallies.

Obama, addressing a Democratic National Committee (DNC) fundraiser in Miami, did little to endear himself to the Tea Party groups protesting around the country, saying “they should be saying thank you” because of the tax cuts he has signed into law.

Infiltrators intent on creating bad press for tea partiers

I was just reading what this troublemaker, Jason Levin, has said about his project to crash the tea parties.  If, and say if, he gets anybody to bother with his scheme, they should be easy to spot.  First of all because they do not have a clue what an average tea partier believes, thinks, or how one would act, so attempts to imitate should stick out like a sore thumb to the real protesters.  Secondly, they are beginning from a false premise, believing themselves the lies they and others have told about the tea party rallies.

He has bought or more likely originated such descriptions as this: – crazy,  “militia types living in cabins in the woods,” and taking as a fact the hoax that was staged in D. C.   So they are lost from the beginning.  They don’t know how to talk like a tea partier.  In fact, a hater might be pretty uncomfortable to actually rub shoulders with a group of totally peaceful people, passionate about what they stand for, and unable to be deterred.

He says they will dress, talk, and carry signs like tea partiers.  Think about it.  I don’t believe he has a clue how a tea partier dresses or talks.  And if the imposters do or say anything outlandish, they will be the only ones and easy to distinguish.  And as I said, he is starting from a place that is not based in truth and reality.  Bound to fail.  Just picture Jason in the middle of this crowd here trying to act up.  🙂

The movement has been ignored and reviled by the MSM, but they’ll be out tomorrow in force, hoping against hope they will be able to ferret out some little something that fits their agenda of discrediting the tea party.  One day – one day this corrupt media will be exposed and it’s not going to be pretty.

And the smears and slander coming from the highest officials in this government is almost beyond belief.  They are at war with the people.  Harry Reid, leader of the Senate, calling us evil mongers, and Ms. Pelosi’s derisions from her perch as the third person in line to the presidency.  Government officials abusing the citizens.  Ah, even the president has engaged in this behavior, attacking private citizens.  Kind of makes you think of a leader like maybe Chavez or Castro, huh.

Below, what Levin has said his methods and goals are.  They are certainly worried and intimidated by this powerful display of citizens execising their right to peacefully assemble.  I guess they never expected it.   I never expected it either.  Never thought I would see the day when middle America would actually speak up.  And it is a beautiful thing.

The scheme reads like a sequel to “Being John Malkovich”: Levin’s group of protesters plan to get in the heads of tea partiers at the Tax Day Tea Parties nationwide Thursday and manipulate them right out of relevance. They’ll dress like tea partiers, talk like tea partiers and carry signs like tea partiers. In fact, according to Levin they’ll be completely indistinguishable from tea partiers, except for one thing — they won’t be out-crazied by anyone.

“Our goal is that whenever a tea partier says ‘Barack Obama was not born in America,’ we’re going be right there next to them saying, ‘yeah, in fact he wasn’t born on Earth! He’s an alien!” Levin explained. He said that by making the tea parties sound like a gathering of crazy people — his group’s goal — the movement will lose its power.

“The lower the public opinion of them goes, the less coverage they’re going to get in the mainstream media,” Levin said when I asked him about the plan. “Then the GOP stops listening to them and they disperse and they go back to their militias and cabins in the woods.”

He emphasized that his group is non-violent, and not interested in “perpetuating racism, homophobia or misogyny.” Levin said that “members are free to do as they wish,” but if violence breaks out at a tea party rally on Thursday, or more epithets like the ones thrown around during the health care debate are heard, it won’t be because of his group. He explained the distinction to me this way: If you see someone wearing a Nazi uniform at a tea party, it could be one of his members. If you see some one wearing a Nazi uniform throwing a rock, it’s definitely not one of his members.

It’s pretty amusing the lengths to which they are willing to go.  Worry.  Worry.  Worry.  A little wringing of the hands.  🙂

Yes, it’s true.  I’m proud to be a teabagger.  🙂  😉  Another h/t to Laree.

Illinois democrat says we are “despicable” and “shameful.”  Seeing as how we are “right-wing activists and fueled by Fox.”  Oh, my, we are So Bad.  🙂  And to top that off we have “cheapened an honorable moment” in history.  🙂

What makes me think that if the Founding Fathers were alive today, they would all have been leading the way.

“”Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) blasted “tea party” protests yesterday, labeling the activities “despicable” and “shameful.”

“The ‘tea parties’ being held today by groups of right-wing activists, and fueled by FOX News Channel, are an effort to mislead the public about the Obama economic plan that cuts taxes for 95 percent of Americans and creates 3.5 million jobs,” Schakowsky said in a statement.

“It’s despicable that right-wing Republicans would attempt to cheapen a significant, honorable moment of American history with a shameful political stunt,” she added.””

She goes on to say that that they are “made to look like grassroots uprisings” but are in fact, she says, sponsored by “corporate interests, Republicans, lobbyists, and politicians.”

Huh?  This is a good example of the Lies that are being told.  Flat out lies.

Tax Day Protest in Gainesville, Florida

There were some 700 such rallies across America yesterday.  Peaceful protests.  Americans exercising our right to free speech and right to assembly.  And Nancy Pelosi is either so out of touch with what is happening or is just plain lying to say it is some “astroturf” movement financed by the rich in the country.  Just not true. And MSNBC and CNN and their “journalists” just plain think it’s funny.

This all started back during the very first Bailout by the Bush Administration.  At the time we were just individuals out here in our homes mad and outraged about it.  It takes a little time for a real and authentic grassroots movement to take shape and for likeminded Americans to make contact with each other and get this huge statement before the country and the world that happened yesterday.

And of course the Bush Bailout was not the end but only the beginning and it’s just enough already!!

Truth:  The MSM has deliberately failed to cover any of the rallies that preceded this one that have been popping up across the nation since last Fall.  And they are making fun of this one yesterday.

Fox covered the events but they did not start nor organize them.  There would have been no honest coverage if not for Fox.  All that would have been broadcasted would have been the lies of the other networks and politicians like Pelosi who think they know everything and are extremely out of touch.  I honestly feel sorry for anyone who only gets their news from the likes of CNN or MSNBC.  Their coverage of these events yesterday when contrasted to the truth about them should be enough to wake up any fair-minded person.

We are hard-working, law-abiding citizens, mothers, fathers, families, ex-military, parents with children now serving in the military, voters, consumers, the people who keep this country running.

Here are some accounts from others:

See Here, this one in Texas.

And this account below from a friend in Missouri:

“”Today, our city of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, on the outskirts of Kansas City, had a tea party in front of city hall. It was held between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. The weather cooperated beautifully, and I would estimate that 1,000 people attended. It wasn’t a “hate Obama” rally but a more spiritual oriented rally with emphasis on opposition to the gross ( an understatement) amount of money that has been authorized lately by way of the stimulus bill that none of our lawmakers read.

I got a lot of still photos, but they were from my cellphone only, so don’t know how they have turned out yet. There were lots of unique signs. My favorite was :

“Next Time Read The Bill”

It was all positive and inspiring and I sure didn’t feel so alone. I’m sure most everyone there was gaining encouragement from each other.

I wanted to go to the one in Kansas City later this afternoon which will be held at Liberty Memorial and will probably have some national coverage, but because of time, I opted to go to the one in my town, and it was rewarding to see all this at a grassroots level.

I’ve always been proud of my country but had a special excitement and love for it today.

God Bless America!””
