Christian sentenced to death in Pakistan for blasphemy

A little love from the so-called religion of peace:

Pakistani court has sentenced 38-year-old Christian, Asia Bibi, to death under the regime’s strident blasphemy law.

Bibi was sentenced on Nov. 7 under Section 295-C of Pakistan’s Criminal Code. Section 295-C provides that anyone convicted of blasphemy is sentenced to either life in prison or death.

However, Racho explained that (even an) acquittal in Pakistan doesn’t always end the issue.

“In Pakistan, it’s a very complicated situation. Let’s say the court acquits her, it’s not going to be enough for Asia and her family to live freely. The Muslim world is going to carry out its own vigilante justice against her,” he said. “Even if the higher court releases her, Asia and her family face the reality of possibly being killed by the Muslim mobs.

Now, please tell me, if this is the law (execution for blasphemy of Mohammad) and in addition to that “the Muslim world is going to carry out its own vigilante justice” and “killing by muslim mobs” how can it be said that this type of intolerance and hatred is not part of mainline Islam.

Would we allow such a law in the United States of America?  You know we would not.  And this is why we cannot allow not even a small measure of muslim justice to prevail in this country.  And yet muslim imam Rauf has the guts to call for tolerance for him to build a mosque at ground zero?  And they have accused us of islmaphobia.  Ridiculous.  Seems to me the whole of Islam is Christianphobic, and Americaphobic as well.  They demand tolerance they do not extend.   Not.

Shahzad’s wife is American born from Boulder

More detail is emerging about NYC car bomb suspect Faisal Shahzad. His American born wife’s name is Huma Mian, a CU Boulder graduate in accounting. Huma Mian lived in Boulder with her sisters and father, and were described as friendly neighbors. Faisal Shahzad married Huma Mian on October 20, 2008.  Faisal Shahzad and Huma Mian have two children. Huma Mian and the children are believed by the FBI to be in Pakistan.

She grew up with her parents and at least two siblings in Aurora. Mian attended the University of Colorado in Boulder from 2000 to 2004, CU spokesman Bronson Hilliard told TheDenverChannel.com. Mian lived in Hallett Hall on campus and graduated May 7, 2004 with a business-accounting degree.

Faisal became a citizen April 17, 2009.  News reports say Shahzad’s path to citizenship was no doubt eased by his marriage to the American Mian.

Mian’s online photo gallery includes a photo of Shahzad smiling as he drives with a Bluetooth earpiece. “What can I say …. he’s my everything,” she wrote in a doting photo caption. She describes herself as a “not political” individual who likes to “party every night.” But also declares on her Facebook page “Im (sic) a Muslim & Im (sic) Proud!” and “I LOVE ALLAH.” She speaks “English (US), Pashto, Urdu, French,” according to her online profile.

UPDATED:  Another interesting detail –

Pakistani authorities have arrested several members of the family of Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad, including his father-in-law, Iftikhar Mian. News reports in the US initially suggested a possible Colorado connection between Shahzad’s wife, Huma Mian, and Najibullah Zazi, an Afghan national who pleaded guilty to a foiled New York subway attack.
