Is the president a Sunni or a Shiite?

The muslim vs Christian fire is flaming.  Interestingly, nobody was talking about it, until the Pew poll came out which showed the American people really are unsure about the president’s religion.  The mainstream picked it up and have been obsessing on it now for days (along with the eggs recall).

I don’t know.  There’s just something a little curious about the fact that our president dropped the mosque bomb and then went on vacation while the issue went viral and the chaos took over.  Along about the same time, we have the muslim thing flaming up.   Wonder what this grand distraction is about.

I caught about three minutes of Chris Matthews last night and I was shocked at his frantic, lunatic ranting about the fact that so many people think our president is a muslim.  You would have to see it.  Almost foaming at the mouth.  Of course, blaming the republicans for it.  Although I do think George Bush is off the hook on this one since the far left, even including Eugene Robinson, is longing for the “religious tolerance” of Bush.  Bush remains silent, by the way.  He ain’t as dumb as you think.

But, Lord have mercy, who knew the far left wing media would think there is something so wrong with the president of the United States being a muslim.

I am interested in it – just because….just because I’m a bitter clinger and I think, yeah, the president of the United States just might be a muslim.  There’s lots of jokes in there for Jeff Foxworthy….if you (fill in the blank) you just might be a muslim.

I have always thought the matter could be laid to rest if when he presents his real birth certificate, he presents his certificate of baptism as well.  He doesn’t seem to be in possession of too many documents. But why do you think the white house, just right out of the blue brought out his passport?  Nobody asked him about his passport. Nobody was talking about his passport.  But there’s some blurry dates on there.  Reminds me of big foot or the loch ness monster.  Hazy pictures, lots of sightings, but never any real proof.

Seriously, does it matter if we have a muslim president?

Does it matter that, if we do, we also have one of the biggest liars that ever lived in the white house.

He has said he is a Christian.  He made a rather big deal out of it during the campaign.  Then it came out that his one and only confirmation is his membership in the Trinity Church of Christ, the weirdest church I have Ever seen or heard tell of.

Somewhere I had heard that the Trinity Church did not require members be baptized and that they could retain their muslim faith and be members as well. Denominations bicker and disagree about it a lot as to the form it should take, immersion, sprinkling, so forth, but I don’t believe I’ve heard of a church that does not require it. Baptists say you don’t have to be baptized to be saved, but if you are saved, you will be baptized and, upon profession of faith in Christ, you will be scheduled pretty quickly.

But I do not believe you could convert from a muslim to a Christian without being baptized because the renunciation of the old would be just as important as the announcement of the new.

White house spokesman, Bill Burton added, “The president is obviously a Christian. He prays everyday.”

Would that be five times a day?

America is the victim of 9/11…..not islam

September 11, 2001 attacks in New York City: V...

I want to move on but the issue of the mosque keeps weighing on my mind.

The constitution allows it but mercy constrains it.  As long as there’s a mother, father, child, a family member of the dead who oppose it, it is cruel to build it.

First of all, the freedom of religion argument applies in a broad sense, but those who are on that bandwagon don’t give a damn about freedom of religion.  They know it.  They know we know it  If you will notice, it’s the very same people and media voices who are always complaining about a manger scene or somebody saying Merry Christmas, a cross on the side of the road or a hillside, forbidding the mention of the word Jesus in a prayer at a football game…..anything.  They hate religion (or at least Christianity and Judaism) so give me a break on that point.  It’s a thoroughly bogus argument anyway because they have been using the space for worship and prayer for a while now and can continue to do so until the end of time.  Oon second thought, I don’t think there is a freedom of religion issue at all.  It’s all about building the “monument.”

This is a manipulation tool much like the racial profiling was on the Arizona bill,, just a big scam to engage the emotions and prevent a rational discussion.

The president goes out, and once again, he rips open a wound that is trying to heal.  He promised to unite, but has done nothing but divide.  He seems to enjoy it.  He then goes on vacation.

I will admit that the proposed site of the Obama Ground Zero Mosque is not really on Ground Zero.  Just very, very close,  Close enough to be impacted by a large piece of the plane that flew into the south tower. Do you really think they would not build it right on top of the site if they could?  Looks like they got as close as they possibly could.

But let’s get real here.  Who are the victims in this scenario?  The victims are those poor souls who did nothing more than go to work one morning and never went home again.  And not only them but dead at the pentagon and the dead aboard the flight that went down in a Pennsylvania field – no survivors.   And as long as there is even one family member who objects to building what will look like a monument — not to the victims — but to the perpetrators, it is a cruel and callous endeavor.

They flew those planes into buildings shouting Allah Akbar, and thereby associating these perverted acts with islam forever and you would think islam somehow has been victimized.  Hardly.  If this country had been somehow persecuting islam, these men never would have been allowed in the country.  So trusting and stupid we are.  And they had to steal the planes from us that they used to exact this evil deed on America.  Box cutters and stolen planes.  I don’t think there is anybody who will deny these deeds were evil.  We tolerate different religions, but we don’t tolerate evil.

There are many mosques in NYC, at least two in lower Manhattan.  They were there, they are still there, and nobody is trying to remove them or keep any person from practicing their religion.  No. body.  And everybody knows that, too.  But to blatantly construct a new 15 story building that can have a observation deck on the southwest side or on the roof and look down onto the hole that was the world trade center is heartless on their part and defiant as well.

Will the call to prayer ring out five times a day over loud speakers? I don’t know yet whether it’s a convention center or a mosque or both.  They keep changing it. It’s just so ironic to think of the most intolerant religion on earth wanting to use our tolerance to gloat about what they did.

So the constitution allows it but honor and mercy prohibit it.  I would expect the promoters of the Cordoba Initiative/Obama Ground Zero Mosque to back off and in the spirit of peace and humility, not continue with this project.

Finally, I really would have expected the president to say something similar.  Or I would hope that he had enough compassion and understanding of the fact that this attack was the one and only attack on our homeland in history, and how there are those who are still grieving on a personal level.

AP forbids use of term “Ground Zero Mosque” – Deutsche Bank and other buildings that surround Ground Zero

The Associated Press has issued instructions to their reporters and employees that henceforth they are not to use the term “Ground Zero Mosque.”

I thought I would post this illustration of how the landing gear of the plane that hit the south tower ended up on top of the Burlington Coat Factory Building, site of the proposed Obama Ground Zero Mosque.  The top picture is the airplane part shown in an elevator, I think being removed from the building.  It fell two floors down through the roof.

Another Ground Zero building – Deutsch Bank Building:

In 2006, bones of victims were found on the roof of the Deutsche Bank Building

located just on the south side of the site, presumably from the south tower as it collapsed. Tombstone at Ground Zero, written in 2008, tells the saga of the building.  I don’t believe it’s been demolished yet even after all these years.

I’m glad I don’t live in NYC.  It is not a safe place to be.

9/11 was an attack on all Americans

9/11 changed everything! The promoters of the GZ mosque are callous and defiant, and instead of remorse, all I see is arrogance in the face of the pain the families of the victims will experience for the rest of their lives.

The world mourns:

And then we have the Palestinians:

Hamas endorses the Obama mosque

Obama sides with Cordoba Initiative to build the Obama mosque at ground zero.  I don’t understand how he could be so cold.

Mayor Bloomberg is behind it 100 percent

Nancy Pelosi wants an investigation of opponents of the Obama mosque

A stab in the heart

Betrayal

I really consider them all to be enemies of America

Almost 3000 souls cry out for justice from this place

Do you think they would have had the nerve to bring this up if George Bush was still president?

Workers refusing to work on mega-mosque

Workers pledging not to work on ground zero mosque

Below is an excerpt from the site he is referring to in this video, Blue Collar Corner.

Here are the names of union and non-union tradesman who refuse to work the site of the proposed Ground Zero Mosque. We feel we have been betrayed by our civic leaders and elected officials as they allow the Cordoba Initiative Group build their Mega-Mosque on top of the ashes of the 3,ooo innocents who were slaughtered on 911. The attackers yelled “Allah Ahkbar” as they destroyed our symbols of economic power and liberty filled with Americans.

Rise up, America.  We don’t have to take this insult.  And just as this guy expected, our president has now publicly supported this project.  This is the last straw.

No mosque at Ground Zero…..unless

Unless Abdul Rauf and others of the Cordoba Initiative are willing to dedicate this building as a memorial to the dead of 9/11, a Wall of Tears as a perpetual apology to America, and include a large statute of Christ on the Cross, and an equal sized statute of Moses holding the tablets containing the Ten Commandments, this project should be stopped.  In this way they could demonstrate their commitment to diversity and tolerance and peace, as well as sorrow for what happened.

NYC supporting mosque at Ground Zero

Seed of Peace?  How about, instead of a mosque, as an act of humility and sorrow, using the funds for a memorial and hall of tears honoring the dead?

After hours of contentious public comment, a New York City community board has voted to support a plan to build a mosque and cultural centre near the World Trade Centre site.

“It’s a seed of peace,” board member Rob Townley said after the plan was approved late Tuesday.

Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer said in a statement that by supporting the multi-faith community and cultural centre, the board “sent a clear message that our city is one that promotes diversity and tolerance”.

Is it a multi-faith community or a mosque?

First of all, how does this group come to own land two blocks from the site of the trade center?

Plans for the Cordoba House include a performing arts centre, swimming pool, culinary school, child care facilities and worship space.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, executive director of the Cordoba Initiative, is one of the project’s sponsors.

What they could do, as “a seed of peace” and symbol of diversity, is to construct and dedicate a memorial on the property with a huge statue of Christ on the cross, a Star of David, stones containing the Ten Commandments and a plaque of apology that this violent deed was perpetrated in the name of Muslim extremism.  They owe the United States of America, and particularly New York City, an apology in perpetuity.

It certainly is not respectful to the dead to be swimming and cooking two blocks from the disaster of the death of 3000 people.  They really should be ashamed for even bringing such a thing up to poke a finger in the eye of the dead and the mourners of the dead.

Never Forget

Diversity and tolerance can go two ways.  What is needed is some sensitivity and empathy on the part of the planners and promoters of this project, and if families of the dead are offended by this, the imam and sponsors of the Cordoba Initiative should not build it.
