Joe and Mika pick former member of Obama regime as GOP candidate (Laugh)

Here we go.  MSNBC trying to choose Obama’s opponent.  I think their first choice was Mitch Daniels, but, hey, Jon Huntsman will do – former member of the Obama administration.  That way Obama won’t have to work too hard, which is against his nature.

Can you imagine the republicans putting up a candidate approved of by Joe Scarborough and Mika?  What silliness.  Will. Not. Happen.

This kind of manipulation has worked in the past.  The media and the press have picked out some milk toast candidate for the republicans to run.  And, golly gee whiz, the establishment republicans want the approval of the media like a battered wife.

Yes, it worked in the last election with John McCain essentially – what do you call it when somebody intentionally loses a fight or a game because they have agreed to let the other win?  That’s what happened in 2008, and I was fooled.  But people are on to this game now.  You can take my word for that.

Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, who served as the ambassador to China in the Obama administration, seems to have won the favor of the cast on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” On its Monday broadcast, co-host Mika Brzezinski praised Huntsman, suggesting he makes Obama vulnerable in a way none of the other Republican contenders could.

And that’s vulnerable how?  I’ll tell you what makes Obama vulnerable.
That’s a candidate who is extremely aggressive in outlining Obama’s failed policies.
Somebody who’ll bring a gun when he brings a knife.  Somebody who will get in his face.
Somebody who will call him out on his lies.
Somebody who will remind him daily that he cannot ignore the constitution and the law to get his way.

New CBS poll: Most Americans don’t believe the media lies

I am happy to know that about 60 percent of the American people now see with clarity how corrupt the liberal press is, both broadcast and written as shown by a recent CBS poll.  The media have SHOT themselves in the foot.  Their power to control and shape the narrative is GONE.  OVER.

It is sickening to know who led the way in this rush to judgment – none other than Paul Krugman of the NEW YORK TIMES.   Within two hours of the  Arizona massacre he wrote this:

Posted January 8, 2011 at 3:22 p.m.

We don’t have proof yet that this was political, but the odds are that it was. She’s been the target of violence before. And for those wondering why a Blue Dog Democrat, the kind Republicans might be able to work with, might be a target, the answer is that she’s a Democrat who survived what was otherwise a GOP sweep in Arizona, precisely because the Republicans nominated a Tea Party activist. (Her father says that “the whole Tea Party” was her enemy.) And yes, she was on Sarah Palin’s infamous “crosshairs” list.

You know that Republicans will yell about the evils of partisanship whenever anyone tries to make a connection between the rhetoric of Beck, Limbaugh, etc. and the violence I fear we’re going to see in the months and years ahead. But violent acts are what happen when you create a climate of hate. And it’s long past time for the GOP’s leaders to take a stand against the hate-mongers.

“(December 17, 2009- Paul Krugman)– A message to progressives: By all means, hang Senator Joe Lieberman in effigy.”

And thereafter followed a full-throated ATTACK by the press, the liberal media, and democrat lawmakers on Sarah Palin and the Tea Party and talk radio.  About the worst concerted effort to deny people their right to free speech that I have ever seen.   This is one huge reason why we cannot allow this element in our society to take over (the commie class).  I was waiting for the round up of all of these people who supposedly had caused this horrendous tragedy.  Of course, they had the guy who did it, but that was not good enough.

It went on all weekend and into Monday, Monday night, without restraint, without abatement.  By Tuesday morning, the push back and backlash was to the point that Mark Halperin on Morning Joe MSNBC said,  “Well, they should have just turned the other cheek.”  Bingo.  He just admitted that what was done is unjust and wrong,  I mean, someone has HIT you on the one cheek, reviled you, persecuted you,  and spitefully used you to even get to the turning part.

I am getting information from an article written about this exchange, not having seen it myself.  But here’s a quote:

“And, I already made that criticism, as well. they’re right, but rather than seizing on it and turning the other cheek, they’re back at their war stations. that’s not going to help us.”

He was complaining and whining about the fact that on Monday, after having been unjustly ATTACKED by the liberal media all weekend long, some on talk radio defended themselves, Sarah Palin, and the Tea Party.

Well, maybe they were surprised at the push back, I don’t know.  But let it be known that we will defend ourselves WITH THE TRUTH.  They better get used to it.  We will stand our ground.  We won’t back down.  We will not retreat.  We will RELOAD..

If the “cross hairs” map is causing so much violence, we better get prepared for a lot more.  Because what the media has done, starting with Mr. Krugman,  is take a little map that was buried somewhere and that probably very few people saw and they have put it to the forefront showing it over and over on tv, calling attention to it (and other similar maps that have been used BY THE DEMOCRATS) making sure that everybody in America and the world for that matter sees it.  All the lunatics, all those on the edge, anybody likely to be influenced by cross hairs or bulls eyes will be committing murders all over the place.

I think some members of congress now want to ban certain words or symbols.  They better not go there.  They can’t hire enough FBI agents or word police to enforce it.

We use God’s mighty WEAPONS, not worldly WEAPONS, to KNOCK DOWN the strongholds of human reasoning and to DESTROY false arguments.

…..DYING, and yet we live on; BEATEN, and yet not KILLED; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

Just caught a few points from Morning Joe:

Mike Allen, Politico and Journolist, said the democrats were saying “What republican surge?” because early voters seem to be heavily registered democrat.  Only thing is they are voting Republican!!  Ha.

For that, Mika says the country is in decline.  She’s going to need to be deprogrammed.

Latest poll:  Alan Grayson  36 – Daniel Webster – 43

They think NPR made a mistake in firing Juan Williams. Bigger mistake to stand by the decision.   Joe says the CEO should be fired.   I guess that would be Ms. Shiller.

Joe kept saying he is appalled that Obama did not meet with Mitch Mc’Connell until August – a full 18 months.

Five minutes on MSNBC

I watched about five minutes of a certain morning show this morning before I had to change the channel, but I heard a guy at the table, I guess what they call the round table, making some pretty astonishing statements.

I can’t remember the exact numbers he cited but he said there was a poll showing a large number of republicans who believe Obama is not a citizen, and another number showing some republicans believe he is the anti-Christ.  He at first said this was a Rasmussen poll, but then changed it to a New Jersey poll. (I guess he was referring to this)

Then he made the statement that there were some republicans who actually compare Sarah Palin to Esther of the Bible. Well, can you think of a more despicable idea than that? That’s the one that got me ticked off. Imagine someone having the audacity to think of a biblical character.

I didn’t know who he was but I searched around and found out his name. He has a new book that is #15 on the bestseller list. Fifteen, not too good. I won’t even mention the name of it because I don’t want to type it.

I noticed that a lot, if not all, of his “work” is very anti-Christian.

But why would we need Christ?   We have Obama.  obama with halo

They should never have given him a “place at the table” because he is renowned for making gotcha films ranging from some drunk Jewish-Americans, Michelle Malkin (“Michelle Malkin goes unhinged and launches a hysterical tirade into the lens of my camera”), Sarah Palin (“The witch hunter annoints Sarah Palin”) to,  more recently, a film on the 9/12 protesters, where he “captures the protest’s atmosphere of ignorance by interviewing the rally’s most delusional attendees.”

But when you see where “his work” has been featured, it all comes together.

His work has been featured on NPR, MSNBC, The Nation, Washington Monthly, The American Prospect, The Huffington Post, Salon Magazine, Al Jazeera English, Alternet, Democracy Now, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, and The Rachel Maddow Show.  He also writes for the Daily Beast.

Top it off:

He is also a Puffin Writing Fellow at the New York-based Nation Institute, a research fellow for “Media Matters for America.”

That just about says it all.

Seems to me to be a hateful little man who has little tolerance for views other than his own.  But how could this be?  Isn’t he on the loving left?

UPDATE:  This is the poll he was referring to — one done by the Daily Kos – not exactly the most reliable poll, to be sure. Goes right along with his Media Matters credentials.

Morning Joe broadcast was at the White House not in the White House

Well, when I heard Morning Joe was to broadcast live this morning from the White House, I was picturing it maybe in the Oval Office or at least inside somewhere.  Instead it was outside, near the White House, in 10 degree cold (considering the chill factor).

Robert Gibbs appeared before daylight.  Looking forward to Obama’s speech tonight, Gibbs said:

“The president will talk tonight about how the legislation has already begun to save jobs throughout the country,” Gibbs said. “We do have a plan that, for the first time, addresses the millions of people who are making their payments but can’t get a refinancing.”

David Axelrod joined the set after the sun was rising and added that:

“Tonight, he has the opportunity to talk to the American people about the steps we need to take to get out of the situation we’re in,” Axelrod said. “I think he’s very confident we can do that, and he’s going to express that as well.”

I don’t why I thought this would include President Obama, but I can’t figure out what was the purpose of the whole thing.  Why did they want to camp out by the White House and broadcast the program?

See WaPo for more detail.

Robert Gibbs gave Mika and Joe a tour of the White House. Was this a part of the show or after? If it was part of the program, I missed it. See video Here.

Morning Joe to broadcast from White House Tuesday

That’s what I say.  What about this?  From the Orlando Sentinel:

What do you make of this access? “Morning Joe” will broadcast live for three hours from the White House on Tuesday morning.

MSNBC said White House press secretary Robert Gibbs and senior Obama adviser David Axelrod will preview President Barack Obama’s speech to Congress that evening.

Who else might drop by? That should be something see, and the setup will be a challenge for anchors Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski and Willie Geist.

I guess MSNBC earned the position, “Tuesday Morning Live From the White House.”  Goodness knows they worked hard enough on the Obama campaigns follo.

Gloria comments (in the comment section) in the Sentinel as follows:

“No surprise here,NBC, MSNBC have been puppets for Obama since the beginning of his running for president. They have no more credibility as a news outlet.

They are bought and paid for by Obama, the first government controlled media outlet.  Sad…very sad..”

Divine intervention in Obama’s election?

Spike Lee revealed he thought the economic difficulties plaguing the country were ordained by God to help get Barack Obama elected.  He made this revelation on Morning Joe this morning in an interview with Joe Scarborough.

Joe kind of set him up, though, in my opinion, saying, “I’ve always believed, and it seems naive, that God’s had a hand in America, and I get the sense you feel that God has had a real hand in this.”

Lee responded by saying, “So many things have happened — all of a sudden, the economy goes south at that moment, and then McCain — there were so many things.  It was almost a movement that had to be ordained, I think.”

On Sunday, Jeremiah Wright made an appearance in Washington, D. C., speaking at a chapel service at Howard University.  He thinks God had a hand in Obama’s rise, as well.

Wright hailed Obama’s inauguration as a sign of God’s providence and the fruit of “the faith of Rosa Parks and the blood of Martin Luther King Jr.”

“The Lord stepped into a scrawny black kid’s ability,” said Wright, pastor emeritus of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, in a sermon at the historically black university. “The Lord stepped into his story and gave him a new attitude. The scrawny kid with the big ears said. ‘Yes we can. I got a new attitude.'”

His sermon went on to say that God can give people a new ability, a new attitude and a new address, used Obama as a prime example. “Barack’s got a new address,” Wright said to an overflow crowd that stood and cheered. “1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.”

He also threw in a little dig that Michelle Obama will be the first black woman to sleep in the White House — legally.  I’ve heard that one before.  Then he went on to say that maybe next it will be a black woman as president.

Greta interviewed Roland Burris last night in his new senate office and he was emotional about Barack Obama.  He said that he felt Obama had divine favor, when asked how he thought Obama was able to overcome so many odds and become president.

Was Barack Obama’s presidency “divinely ordained?”  What do you think?
