President Obama honors the deceased, the recovering, the heroes

President Barack Obama in Arizona

…..at a time when we are far too eager to lay the blame for all that ails the world at the feet of those who think differently than we do – it’s important for us to pause for a moment and make sure that we are not talking with each other in a way that wounds.

But what we can’t do is use this tragedy as one more occasion to turn on one another. As we discuss these issues, let each of us do so with a good dose of humility. Rather than pointing fingers or assigning blame, let us use this occasion to expand our moral imaginations…..

I hope the MAINSTREAM media was listening as I am sure they were.  What they did  for three days was to “lay the blame for all that ails the world at the feet of those who think differently” and they should apologize to Sarah Palin, the Tea Party, and talk radio, not only apologize but a CORRECTION of the record is in order. Will they do it?  I am not holding my breath.  Corruption never admits it is wrong.

Somebody was kind enough to post the entire speech in the comment section of my previous post.

We should take President Obama’s speech and Sarah Palin’s response to the vicious attacks against her personally and consider what each has said.  The words that have been used since this tragedy truly did WOUND.  They wounded her and they also wounded her supporters.

And we will continue to disagree with the direction our country is taking, we will continue to speak.  We will never compromise our strongly held beliefs and opinions.

IT NEVER should have  happened that accusations were made against innocent people.  Sarah Palin NEVER should have felt she had to defend herself by making her speech.  Her name NEVER should have even come up in the coverage of this case.  The Tea Party and talk radio NEVER should have come up in connection to this case.  It was so wrong and I wish our president had led by coming out early on and ask the media to tamp it down.  He has done that previously, advising us not to jump to conclusions, to wait for the facts.  He should not have sit by and watched his fellow-Americans falsely accused in the manner they were.

The applause and cat calls from the audience were very disrespectful and out of place for a memorial service.  I wonder who was doing that?

P. S.:  And in some quarters, it has not stopped.  Chris Matthews just night before last featured Mark Levin and Michael Savage as TARGETS of his wrath.  Levin (who is a lawyer and a very brilliant man) said last night the very next time he is falsely accused and that his name is smeared he will SUE for libel, he will sue all involved starting with the corporate bosses right on down to the commentator, he will depose them all, and he will not settle.  It will go before a jury.

A commenter at the Washington Post:   “The mainstream media will never again be able to create a narrative that is contrary to the facts. Their day, for the most part, is over. The internet and talk radio, among other things, serve as a kind of modern day Paul Revere sounding the alarm whenever we are fed a load of BS and act as a necessary corrective.”

Obama Fort Hood

God Bless the Fallen

Murdered at the hands of a Traitor and Terrorist, an Army Major who was in a place of trust, doctor and psychiatrist, assigned to counsel soldiers returning from combat

Can you even think of a more diabolical and evil act of betrayal?

Caylee Marie Anthony Memorial Service

An estimated 1,200 people celebrated the short life of Caylee Marie Anthony at a memorial service this morning at the First Baptist Church of Orlando.
The emotional service for the deceased 2-year-old lasted nearly two hours, the last 45 minutes of which were heart-felt eulogies from the little girl’s family.

This Baptist Church service was covered by CNN/Headline News this morning and will be re-run at 4:30 p.m.

Another service was held at the site where the body was found where people gathered in an impromptu service this morning, led by a California bounty hunter, Leonard Pedilla, who inserted himself in the case of the missing girl and her 22-year-old mother Casey Anthony, who is now in jail and charged with the child’s murder.

Leonard Pedilla was one of the people the Anthony Family barred from the First Baptist Church Memorial Service.
