Best Friends Forever at the SOTU

Well, President Obama is going to focus “like a laser on jobs” in the State of the Union address – one more time.

But this just about takes the cake for elected officials of the United States of America to engage in playing little kindergarten games such as this.  I am not even going to watch this charade.

For the first time in history, we have a president who is not able to stand up in front of a congress weighed against his party and take it like a man.  The whole thing is designed to make things  easier on him and the democrats because none of them ever thought there would be a republican speaker of the house sitting behind him.

Come on, President Obama.  Come out and ask them not to do this, to cut out the foolishness.  It will make you look like a statesman.

They are choosing partners to sit with.

  • Mary Landrieu and Olympia Snowe are BFF  for the SOTU
  • Dick Durbin and Mark Kirk  are the Land of Lincoln Laddies
  • Chuch Schumer and Tom Coburn are Partisan Pals
  • Southwest Soul-mates are McCain and Udall
  • and the Cutest Couple is Thune and Gillibrand

Lord have mercy.  No wonder our country is in the shape it’s in.  These are pretty much the same people who have been there for years presiding over the decline.  Well, Kirk is new, but the rest……

I hear that Mitch McConnell said he would sit where he always does.  Good for him.  I just hope these other guys at least buy a new pair of panties to wear.

Imus Speaks to Cavuto About Obama, Biden, and McCain

Neil Cavuto interviews Don Imus on August 26, 2008.  Imus says he’ll vote for McCain but he won’t commit suicide or move to Canada if Obama wins.

He thinks Barack Obama is a phony and an empty suit and so do I.  Because, you see, he was not willing to give Imus the benefit of any doubt and was one of the very first of the self-righteous to jump up and to call for Imus to be fired.  He was not willing to take anything into the context of his life and the good works he had done, but YET he wanted us all to consider Jeremiah Wright’s words in the context of his life and works.

Nor was he willing or able to realize that this was a job and a profession of 30 plus years in broadcasting and that Imus had a contract signed with CBS only a few months prior to the “incident” that specifically called for him to be outrageous and controversial.  Yet Mr. Obama wants us to consider the “genius” of his buddy, Ludacris, in the context of his career and talent even though Ludicris has written and has said some outrageous and offensive things.

So, therefore, I judged Barack Obama as having no character or insight, no sense of fair play.  And, yes, a phony and an empty suit.

Imus fans will never forget.

In spite of that Imus also expresses his feelings at the spectacular sight of an African American woman standing before the Democratic National Convention, and the country, to speak about her husband who is about to be nominated by the democratic party as a candidate for President.  I, too, am in awe of this and it was a touching moment to be sure.

I am very proud of the progress we have made as a country.  It is a historical moment and time.   Only in America.

And, by the way, I am voting for McCain, too.

McCain Hits It Out of the Park at Saddleback

Great performance by John McCain. Just a great job.  The contrast between the two candidates was stunning.  This was a faith forum, and in keeping with that, McCain’s reiteration of one of the guards in the POW camp loosening his bonds and drawing a cross in the sand with his sandal was very real, touching, and powerful.

I’ve said it before, but now I know for sure that John McCain will be our next president.

I was watching MSNBC’s coverage for about two hours of pre-forum coverage and it was generally thought (and I believe hoped) that Obama would be the most comfortable discussing his faith and that McCain would falter.  Just the exact opposite happened.

CNN is playing highlights and analysis.  So is Fox.  MSNBC went immediately to their Lock Down Doc Block format.  Pitiful

And one of the most telling moments came when Obama was asked who he would seek out for advice.  He answered Michelle, his grandmother, and Ted Kennedy (and a couple other politicians). Well, he could hardly name those he has turned to for guidance the last 20 years, as in, Jeremiah Wright, Michael Pfleger, and James Meeks, or maybe Ludacris who he thinks is a genius.

Obama Campaign Plane vs McCain Campaign Plane (Revised)

  Obama’s campaign plane

  McCain campaign plane

Above posted:  08.07.08

Additional pictures below:

Wow, there it is!  And you can even see it if you can find a magnifying glass. Per my research, registration number and country of origin is required by international law

And  I can’t leave out my favorite — on the interior of the plane,  his chair embroidered with “Obama ’08 – President”

Shown:  Dole’s campaign plane, the Kerry/Edwards campaign plane, the Bush/Cheney campaign plane

Now, it just seems to me that Senator Obama has a problem with the American flag.  The evidence just keeps piling up, but you be the judge.

Jon Stewart Nails The Absurdity

This, from Jon Stewart, is just laugh out loud funny.  So please click.  It’s worth it:

Satire is a wonderful thing.  I love all the “cards” the media has so dramatically played.  And, of course, there’s the Big One, The Race Card.  But all these secondary cards the MSM have injected are quite funny:  There’s the change card, the populace card, the fear card, the Europe card, the woman as victim card, the gender card, and the class card.  [laugh out loud].

And the seriousness with which New York Times columnist Bob Herbert reveals to us that the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Washington Monument are phallic symbols —

HERBERT: All right. There is an image right there in that very beginning of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and there is an image of the Washington Monument. Look at the beginning of that ad again.  And you tell me why those two phallic symbols are placed there [snaps fingers]—pow!—right at the very beginning of that ad.

Oh, no, now I am confused.  I thought all the crowds shown were in Germany, not Paris or Washington.  But, gee, pow, wow, there it is, the phallic symbol!  How could I have missed it?  Too funny.  The man should be embarrassed.

And the two microphones as the “great black balls of Obama.”  Circled for emphasis.   [laugh out loud]

So as Imus said,  “Well, there you go.  Now we know.”  Oops, and there I go, sayin’ something racist.

McCain Pulls Ads From Sites Critical of Obama

  • John McCain campaign ads appeared on Web sites that are strongly anti-Obama
  • McCain aide says the ads are placed by Google and campaign doesn’t choose sites
  • He says the offending sites have been added to list of blocked URLs
  • There are basically 3 sites involved, and they purportedly attack Barack Obama’s character; one compares him to Hitler.

These three sites are the ones complained of:  Stop-Obama.org,  Obama WTF (What’s The Facts?), and Savage Politics.com.

    • “One Web site, called Stop-Obama.org, is a group blog written by disaffected Clinton supporters, some of whom are now supporting McCain. A banner ad featuring McCain standing side-by-side with Joe Lieberman was running on the site until Monday.”

Quoting from Stop Obama.org, they indicate their site was hacked in April, 2008, see below:

“Hacking a political site, and making it inaccessible to readers, is a form of “grassroots” censorship. It bespeaks a fascist, anti-democratic mindset.

“I can announce, that our Admin spent most of the night trying to get our site back up. Not only was our site brutally hacked, and made inaccessible to visitors – our content was trashed, and if not for a timely back-up by our Admin (I mean very timely) he says we would have recovered only eight articles out of our previous total of more than a hundred.”    http://www.stop-obama.org/?p=223

    Here’s the website for Stopobama.org   http://www.stop-obama.org/

Quoting from the website called Obama WTF below:

“Obama WTF (What’s The Facts?) is the original, and most comprehensive, authoritative site about the life, votes, and positions of Senator Obama and his political backers. As his campaign is based on words… not on a proven track-record… if his words are not supported by facts, there’s nothing left but an empty blue suit.”   http://obamawtf.blogspot.com/

    From the website SavagePolitics.com below:

Purpose of the blog is stated:  “Tired of the Mainstream Media’s stranglehold on the term “Journalism” solely to inject highly biased opinions into our National subconscious, Savage Politics (founded by J. Cifre, J.D.) is here to bring smart and honest analytical “Editorials”, breaking away from the hypocritical mantle of “the Press”…..  http://savagepolitics.com/

    • “The McCain campaign pulled the ads after being notified by CNN.
    • “When the campaign is made aware of ads appearing on offensive or irrelevant Web sites, Rogers said, they notify the ad distributor and have the sites added to a list of blocked URLs. He noted the McCain campaign has already blocked “tens of thousands” of such sites.”

Censorship and Control.  I can only hope I’m not declared offensive or irrelevant for writing about this.
