10 appalling revelations against PSU ex-president Graham Spanier

Will he be charged?  I’d put money on it, and maybe as early as tomorrow.  How do I know?  Because I just heard on FOX that IF JOE PATERNO WERE ALIVE, he might could be charged.  Spanier must have a load of money and some powerful people behind him to try to divert attention from the charges that are coming for him by placing all these distractions in the media.  I say “placing” because how else would they get there?  It is my belief that these networks broadcast mostly what is submitted to them from PR firms, Media Matters type organizations, et cetera, and a lot of it is designed to divert attention from something else.  They play us all for a bunch of suckers.

And the media is going to “arrest” a dead man to avoid reporting on the living people responsible for a 20 year cover-up, now thoroughly exposed by the Freeh Report.  Now that is dirty.

I am copying an article from Deadspin.com laying out the “appalling revelations” against Graham Spanier from the Freeh Report.

The 10 Most Appalling Revelations About Graham Spanier, And Why He Could Be The Next One Charged

The 10 Most Appalling Revelations About Graham Spanier, And Why He Could Be The Next One Charged

The majority of attention given to today’s Freeh Report has centered on figuring out Joe Paterno’s role in allowing Jerry Sandusky to go unstopped. But the most actively nefarious character—other than Sandusky himself—in the commission’s story is former university president Graham Spanier. Even before today’s news, experts had suggested that Spanier’s actions could be brought before a grand jury. Here are ten of the more reprehensible plot points from the Freeh Report, many of which support the notion that he could face criminal charges:

  • Testifying to the 2001 grand jury he was unaware of the 1998 investigation against Sandusky, even though emails from 1998 show him discussing the investigation with athletic director Tim Curley and university vice president Gary Schultz.
  • Repeating this claim to the Special Investigative Counsel, and stating he “never heard a report from anyone” that Sandusky was abusing children.
  • Failing to notify the Board of Trustees that an investigation of a prominent assistant football coach was underway, withholding this information from them even while the board was considering (and approving) a favorable land deal between the university and Sandusky’s Second Mile charity.
  • Approving and pushing for Sandusky’s emeritus rank—and the facility access privileges that came along with it— despite Sandusky not qualifying for it by the established academic rules.
  • Declaring Curley’s plan to suggest Sandusky stop hanging around children, without actual sanctions, to be “a humane approach.”
  • Telling the Special Investigative Counsel his first knowledge of the 1998 incident came at the April 2011 grand jury appearance, when notes from his Attorney General interview a month prior reveal he was questioned about it then.
  • Approving an unprecedented $168,000 lump-sum retirement payment to Sandusky in 1999.
  • Showing no interest in identifying the child involved in the 2001 incident or ascertaining whether or not a crime had occurred.
  • Opposing any and all independent investigations into Sandusky’s behavior.
  • Modifying the November 2011 Board of Trustees statement without their knowledge or approval, asserting that Curley and Schultz requested administrative leave rather than that the board had decided to place them on leave.

It is reported that Spanier went to work as an advisor on a special project for Homeland Secuirty. http://alturl.com/qddyj  But Wikipedia says he remains a tenured professor of sociology at Penn State.  He is an amateur magician and wrote a book on mate swapping.  Weird guy in my book.   http://alturl.com/t4yaj  http://alturl.com/ap4ee

Spanier quote:  “It depends on what the meaning of immoral is.”

Update:  In a recent blurb on FOX, they seem to have dropped the if Paterno were alive narrative (I hope) and they named all four of the people specifically named in the Freeh Report, being:  Spanier, Schultz, Curley, and Paterno.

Oops, I was wrong.  It was HLN, not FOX, I was watching that named all four.

Q and A: Who gave Sandusky office space and Emeritus status at Penn State?

Q. Who gave Jerry Sandusky office space on Penn State campus?

A.  It was part of the retirement agreement between the University and Sandusky.

Quote from retirement agreement, which is an Exhibit attached to Freeh report:

“The university will permit you to use, at no charge, a locker, weight rooms, fitness facilities and training room in the East Area locker room complex.  This benefit will continue for the balance of your lifetime.”

and

“For a period of ten years commencing July 1 1999 and subject to renewal upon concurrence of both parties you will be given an office and a phone in the East Area Locker room complex…..”

Agreement was signed by Tim Curley and Gary Schultz along with Jerry Sandusky on June 29, 1999.  The full agreement, Exhibit 3H, can be seen in the Report.

Q.  Who granted Jerry Sandusky Emeritus status at his retirement in 1999?

A. Graham Spanier, President of Penn State

An excerpt of an email from Rodney A. Erickson, August 31, 1999:

“Let’s go ahead and grant it [emeritus status], if Graham[Spanier] has already promised it.”

Further excerpt of email by Robert Secor on Aug 31, 1999 who wrote:

“But we are in a bind  Apparently Graham told [redacted but obviously referring to Sandusky] that we would do this, he was wholly within his rights here since the policy says “The President may grant (or deny) Emeritus Rank on an exception basis.”

I am sure there were others who had to sign off on this emeritus status, but clearly it was recommended by Graham Spanier.

Just some questions I have been wondering about.  The Report is well over 200 pages long and I have not gotten through it all yet.  The above are direct quotes from exhibits which are copies of the actual documents.

http://www.thefreehreportonpsu.com/REPORT_FINAL_071212.pdf

All this said to point out that although I now have heard that somehow it was Joe Paterno’s fault that Sandusky had an office and access to the campus, dammit, he didn’t have anything to do with that.

I’m just saying, there was a lot of work that went into this report, it is very detailed as to dates and events and the media should not just throw it in a corner but they need to tell the truth when they report this.  If they want to pull out a sentence here and there, there is a huge choice of sentences and quotes that can be reported on.

ABC and corrupt media DISTORT Freeh report on Sandusky.

I just heard an ABC radio news report that is so misleading and deceptive it is just beyond words.  I have been trying to keep from getting upset over the news coverage on the Penn State Freeh report, but this was just beyond the pale.

The broadcaster said:  The report said that Joe Paterno and others – AND OTHERS – sought to conceal and on and on and on.  Well, THE OTHERS just happen to be the Ex-President of the University, Graham Spanier/ the Vice-President of Finance and Business who is in charge of THE CAMPUS POLICE, Gary Schult; and Athletic Director, Tim Curley.

And here he goes again.  Quote:  “report called Joe Paterno AND OTHERS callous and shocking.”  This makes me livid.

And I wonder is NOBODY going to mention that Graham Spanier was considered by Obama for Secretary of Education, good liberal democrat that he is.

So the Freeh report gave a few words on Joe Paterno (which wasn’t much at all, just something that Schultz said about TALKING TO HIM and then changing his mind) and excoriated the other three, but the few words is all that is needed for the corrupt media to seize Joe Paterno, even after the man is dead and gone and in the grave, and fail to even mention the names of these three plotting, coniving administrators who were only concerned about being “humane” to who? Not the abused boys, but the serial child molester, Jerry Sandusky.

Of course, Joe Paterno cannot even defend himself, and the investigation DID NOT even talk to him before he died.  He had a MINOR, VERY MINOR role in this, probably the VERY LEAST of anybody.  And they have to drag his name up from the GRAVE to take the blame in the PUBLIC AS THE MEDIA lays it all on him.

I don’t care a flip about Penn State football or football in general but I do care about dragging this man’s name through the mud and leaving the other three untouched, not in the report, but in the WAY THE MEDIA IS REPORTING IT.  They, the Big Three, Spanier, Schultz, and Curley, conspired to cover this abuse up and allowed the Serial Child Molester, Jerry Sandusky, to have an office and free access to the campus.  Emeritus status, no less, after he retired in 1999.

Something has to be done about this corrupt media in this country.  They are so bold in their deception and they lie all the time.  There are some people who catch the news on the fly that I can’t even convince that Joe Paterno was NOT the molester of young boys.  This is the way they presented it – Joe Paterno, child molester, child rape in the same sentence enough times and they get the desired result – and now that he’s DEAD they continue to minimize the roles of the senior officials at Penn State from responsibility.

So why do you think they WON’T name these other three men, especially Graham Spanier?  It is precisely because they KNOW the result of how they are reporting this, the psychological brainwashing and manipulation, that if they said Graham Spanier, child molester, child rapist enough times in the same sentence, he would become the one with the ruined name and they don’t want that.

Is this intentional?  You damn right it’s intentional.  Did they edit tapes to distort the recent case in Florida to make it look worse and fit into their agenda.  You damn right they did.

I absolutely hate the media more every day.  And I have refused to watch except the reading of the report by Freeh himself and a little bit of what the blabber mouths were saying about it.  I was watching HLN and they were broadcasting his word for word reading of the report, UNTIL it got to the point where it was talking about Spanier, Schultz, and Curley and they cut away to commercials and COMMENTS by people just mouthing off about it.  I wanted to HEAR THE REPORT ITSELF.  Because that’s the only thing you can believe.

And so I am listening to the radio to get away from the misrepresentations on tv, and I have to hear this ABC REPORT that has made it impossible for me to be silent.

If anybody wants to know the TRUTH, please read the report, which I am trying to find but CANNOT because I don’t think they want anybody to actually read the thing.  I WILL FIND IT though and post a link.  You cannot believe a thing you hear on the so-called NEWS.

Okay.  Here’s the pdf of the Freeh Report:  http://www.thefreehreportonpsu.com/REPORT_FINAL_071212.pdf

Here’s a short article on some of the emails of the Big Three, Spanier, Schultz, and Curley plotting how to cover up the Sandusky problem.  Paterno was involved in no emails, but Curley mentioned having talked to him about what to do with Sandusky.

Sandusky guilty on 45 counts, finally in jail

What’s next?  There are at least three Penn State officials left to be dealt with – Tim Curley, Gary Schultz, and Graham Spanier, civil suits for sure, and more victims to be discovered.  I heard someone say that if 10 have identified themselves, there are probably at least a 100 more.  Now his own adopted son is coming forward with accusations of abuse.   The next hearing in the case is July 11th.  http://alturl.com/q5y53

It is sickening to hear of Penn State now making all these moves to make sure something like this never happens again, as if that wipes it all away.  After 20, 30, or even 40 years Now they make new rules.  Hog wash.  For at least the last 20 years, the same people have been in charge at Penn State and the Second Mile and they knew.

My question is:  Where is Victim #2 and Victim #8?  These were the two “eye witness” incidents.  They are now missing or at the very least unidentified.  And where is District Attorney Gricar, now declared dead, but with no body ever found?  There are many deep dark secrets here.

Matt Sandusky says he was abused by his adopted father

http://fandaily.info/news/matt-sandusky-is-jerry-sanduskys-son-photos/

Interesting development as the jury is out deliberating, Matt Sandusk says he was molested and was prepared to take the witness stand if his father testified.  I don’t find this too ususual that they would hold out this ace in the hole to come back with if Sandusky took the stand.  After all, they already had 10 victims and some 50 counts.  Seems overwhelimg to me, although it was not possible to see the witnesses as they testified, since no cameras were in the courtroom.

See the above link for pictures of Matt as a young man and as a boy.  Seeing the pictures of the victims as boys is just heartbreaking.  There’s two video clips at that link also, from NBC and  they seemed to put forth the idea that the case was weak and the state’s arguments were weak and rambling and presenting some old lady saying there is room for doubt.  If NBC puts forth this idea, that must mean he is guilty as sin.  (Take the opposite of whatever NBC says, and you get the truth.)

Another great site with pictures:  http://alturl.com/mjtdx

The jury has asked to have repeated the testimony of Mike McQueary and Dr. Jonathan Dranov which will be done in the morning.

Victim #1 provides emotional testimony in Sandusky child rape trial

Victim #1 takes the stand today.  Victim 1 is the most recent incident, and he is only 18 as of this date.  He was the victim who first told about the abuse.

The sobs from the witness stand were loud and prolonged, the cracking voice of Victim No. 1 in the Jerry Sandusky child sexual molestation trial gasping for breath as he detailed repeated acts of oral sex with the former Penn State defensive coordinator.

Now 18, the witness sat with his hands clasped in his lap, leaned into a microphone and slowly, painfully and purposefully delivered his disturbing memories of being an 11-, 12-year-old boy, alone with Sandusky on the waterbed in Sandusky’s State College basement.

The sighs and sniffs echoed around a rapt Centre County Courtroom as jurors looked on, a couple noticeably disturbed. A few grimaced at the retelling and shook their heads.

For more details, see:  http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ncaaf–jerry-sandusky-trial-victim-no-1-joe-amendola-second-day-penn-state–.html

Eye witness, Mike McQueary, is testifying this afternoon.  He is testifying as to Victim #2.  Victim #2 is unidentified at this time.

Spanier to be charged? Emails between Spanier, Schultz, and Curley come to light in Sandusky case

Investigators are mulling whether to bring charges against former Penn State president Graham Spanier for possibly helping to cover up child abuse allegations against Jerry Sandusky, according to a new report.

Authorities have “major new evidence,” including emails between Spanier, former university vice president Gary Schultz and ex-athletic director Tim Curley, NBC News reported Monday.

Schultz and Curley have pleaded not guilty to perjury charges for allegedly lying to a grand jury about what they were told about Sandusky’s alleged conduct.

One email between Spanier and Schultz reportedly concluded with them agreeing it would be “humane” not to tell authorities about possible child molestation by the assistant football coach in 2001.

There is absolutely no telling how deep and how dark this thing goes.
Cover up?  There is no doubt, and for all those years where there were more victims, it was known what was going on with Sandusky.  The latest victim (Victim #1), the boy who brought this all to light, is only 18 years old today.
What is not made clear is the fact that Jerry Sandusky did not work for Penn State in any capacity since 1999.  June 1999
Sandusky retires from Penn State but still holds emeritus status.
He was given an office and unlimited access to university facilities by the university.
And Spanier goes to work for the federal government (no surprise):  http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2012/04/post_340.html

NBC news issued a national report this morning citing legal sources who said more charges are likely and could include former Penn State President Graham Spanier.

Report:  The report said investigators have “major new evidence” including emails exchanged in 2001 by Spanier and university officials Gary Schultz and Tim Curley, both already facing charges of perjury and failure to report a crime.  http://pennstate.247sports.com/Board/18/Report-Graham-Spanier-to-be-charged-10080541/1
