Remembering the Tucson Massacre

Legal Insurrection has a great post in memory of the victims and the anniversary of the Arizona Massacre.  He has posted several videos, including the 911 calls, and a 60 minutes documentary on the shooting.

For me, I will never forget the speed with which the corrupt and biased media began their vicious attacks on Sarah Palin and talk radio as somehow causing the actions of one madman, who it later proved out had, if anything, left wing political leanings and never at any time had anything at all to connect him with any conservative politics whatsoever.

I was watching as this false political narrative unfolded in the leftwing media with a speed that it almost had to be pre-planned somehow.

The whole thing culminated in the sickening political rally called a memorial service that was conducted in Tucson.

See previous post where an unnamed democrat said in the Politico that “it should be pinned on the tea party” and how Sean Penn of the obama administration had said earlier that obama needed “an Oklahoma City moment” to “reconnect with the people.”  https://bellalu0.wordpress.com/2011/01/11/is-arizona-massacre-obamas-oklahoma-city-moment/

“Memorial” service previous post:  https://bellalu0.wordpress.com/2011/01/13/memorial-service-or-political-rally/

A lot of the footage of the media coverages has been scrubbed from the internet, evidence that they knew what they were doing.

In fact, the scrubbing of the internet began almost immediately, but a few screen shots remain due to the swift action of some who saw it coming, that proves it was the left that had actually targeted Gabrielle Giffords for political destruction, and by name up close and personal, because even though she is a democrat was not liberal enough for them.  (They are always doing what they accuse others of).

See previous post:  https://bellalu0.wordpress.com/2011/01/10/finger-pointing-rampant-in-aftermath-of-arizona-shooting/

Professor Jacobson today writes as follows:

Also remembered will be the reaction from the left-blogosphere and mainstream media, which immediately and falsely attempted to connect Sarah Palin to the shootings.  My post that day, Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, included ongoing news updates and copies of Tweets by left-wing bloggers.

…..

By the next day, it was a full blown media frenzy claiming Loughner was “right-wing” and again connecting Palin to the shooting, as detailed in my post, Two Sicknesses On Display in Arizona.

The media was in full attack mode on Palin, demanding that she speak out sooner than she did, and then when she did speak out about the shootings, and used the term “blood libel,” it set off even more vigorous attacks on her.

Some on the right, such as David Frum, also used the shooting as an excuse to go after Palin.  Here are my posts on the “blood libel” issue:

I summed up my feelings in the post We Just Witnessed The Media’s Test Run To Re-Elect Barack Obama, which was read on air in full by Rush Limbaugh.

The attempt to politicize the shooting in many ways overwhelmed the memory of the victims.  And that was another tragedy.

Further investigation revealed the Loughner lived in a non-political paranoid delusional world, and to the extent he ever expressed political leanings, they were not “right-wing.”  Loughner eventually would be declared mentally incompetent to stand trial, and remains in psychiatric custody.

http://legalinsurrection.com/2012/01/remembering-giffords-shooting-and-the-reaction/

The whole thing is a case study in a media hit job, and in the end, the American people did not believe them. https://bellalu0.wordpress.com/2011/01/12/new-cbs-poll-most-americans-dont-believe-the-media-lies/

They tried hard though, they tried really hard.   Anybody who wants a good look at how the media, supposed to be a watchdog, is actually a left wing propoganda machine, just follow this one incident.  It goes far further than mere bias.

And it continues as is evidenced by the ABC debate last night.

The left now has a name and a face

The Loughner Left

Do you know what the editors of the New York Times look like?  Would you recognize them if you saw them?

We all know what leftie talking heads on television look like, such as Chrissie Mathews, Keith Olbermann, Katie Couric, et al.  But how about Markos Moulitsas of the Daily Kos website, the bloggers of the Democratic Underground, or the writers of the New York Daily News?

Now we know what they all look like.  Even the talking heads, now we know what they really look like.  From this moment on, this is the face they all have, the face that will appear in our mind’s eye picture of them whenever we read what they write or hear what they say.  This face:

loughner_left_face.jpg

is the Face of the Left, the Loughner Left.

See the rest here.

There really is no longer any doubt that the left will stop at nothing. There is no depths to which they will not sink. The line is clearly drawn. How can there be any “unity?”

There can be no false unity. No silly sitting together. No useless dialogue. We have to fight and fight hard, because they hate our guts. They want to destroy us. And I’m not lying down for it.

I just have a slight variation for their title: I’m calling them the Lyin’ Loughner Left. That has a nice ring to it.

Memorial service or political rally?

Some reports have said the Obama administration was behind the t-shirts.  I couldn’t find anything to indicate that, but I don’t know why we should worry about knowing anything for sure.  Obama for America probably passed them out.  Just makes sense.  Fits my conclusions.  Update: Well here we go. Straight out of Obama’s Organizing for America in 2008.

One thing for sure – there they are on the back of each and every chair.  I absolutely cannot believe that this event was not orchestrated by the Obama administration.  There is no way they were not in contact with this university president on every detail.

I can’t wait for the continuing conversation about civility.  I just hope those who have been so uncivil, i. e. the liberals and the liberal media, pay close attention.  Since all these accusations against Sarah started, death threats have increased to a record proportion.  I hope nothing happens to her.  Where is the FBI to investigate these threats?

Next, this comes under the heading of information that may or may be interesting, may or may not be relevant, may or may not be true.

The music was a strange choice for what should have been a somber occasion.  The music is one thing that makes me think the Obama people or maybe even Obama himself were managing the plans.  I do know it was deemed very important for him and his administration, and he was hoping it would be his Oklahoma City Moment.  But that music was as Obama as it gets.  That particular song, Fanfare to the Common Man, was played at his inauguration, and something that sounded much like that was used after his acceptance speech.  See:  https://bellalu0.wordpress.com/2008/11/06/what-was-that-music-at-the-end-of-obamas-acceptance-speech/

I think it’s a weird choice for a memorial service, but in reality this was not a memorial service in the classic sense.  The deceased were almost in the background, and maybe that’s the way they wanted it.

A bizarre moment was when Obama mentioned Ms. Giffords seeing for the first time.  It seemed as though he was practically saying:  I walked in the room and restored her sight.  And he liked the reaction he got so much (thunderous applause) at that point that he went back over it four times.  That may or may not mean anything but it kind of fits into his messiah self-image.

Now for some tidbits on the composer, Aaron Copland.

Deciding not to follow the example of his father, a solid Democrat, Copland never enrolled as a member of any political party, but he espoused a general progressive view and had strong ties with numerous colleagues and friends in the Popular Front, including Odets. Copland supported the Communist Party USA ticket during the 1936 presidential election,In keeping with these attitudes, Copland was a strong supporter of the Presidential candidacy of Henry A. Wallace on the Progressive Party ticket. As a result, he was later investigated by the FBI during the Red scare of the 1950s and found himself blacklisted. Copland was included on an FBI list of 151 artists thought to have Communist associations.

He began to vote Democratic, first for Stevenson and then for Kennedy.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron_Copland

Regardless of the composer’s political leanings, I just think it was an unusual choice of songs.  It was, all told, the strangest memorial service I have seen.  No prayer.  No minister of the gospel.   No rabbi.   I don’t know what the religion of the dead were.  I do know Ms. Giffords was Jewish.  And it appears nine-year-old Christina Green was Catholic as was Judge John Roll, so where was the priest?  Phyllis Schneck was Presbyterian and Dorwan Stoddard, Calvery Chapel (described as a Bible based church), There was this atmosphere of a political rally.  T-shirts passed out.

So, yes, I think the white house planned the ceremony top to bottom.  It was a partisan affair.  And even though Governor Brewer was there, I think she was booed.  Wonder how she felt there with Barack Obama and Eric Holder who are now SUING her.  Never mind that Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords urged them publicly not to do that.

Think about it.  You had Barack Obama, Janet Napolitano, and Eric Holder running the show.  That is not very comforting.

President Obama honors the deceased, the recovering, the heroes

President Barack Obama in Arizona

…..at a time when we are far too eager to lay the blame for all that ails the world at the feet of those who think differently than we do – it’s important for us to pause for a moment and make sure that we are not talking with each other in a way that wounds.

…..

But what we can’t do is use this tragedy as one more occasion to turn on one another. As we discuss these issues, let each of us do so with a good dose of humility. Rather than pointing fingers or assigning blame, let us use this occasion to expand our moral imaginations…..

I hope the MAINSTREAM media was listening as I am sure they were.  What they did  for three days was to “lay the blame for all that ails the world at the feet of those who think differently” and they should apologize to Sarah Palin, the Tea Party, and talk radio, not only apologize but a CORRECTION of the record is in order. Will they do it?  I am not holding my breath.  Corruption never admits it is wrong.

Somebody was kind enough to post the entire speech in the comment section of my previous post.

We should take President Obama’s speech and Sarah Palin’s response to the vicious attacks against her personally and consider what each has said.  The words that have been used since this tragedy truly did WOUND.  They wounded her and they also wounded her supporters.

And we will continue to disagree with the direction our country is taking, we will continue to speak.  We will never compromise our strongly held beliefs and opinions.

IT NEVER should have  happened that accusations were made against innocent people.  Sarah Palin NEVER should have felt she had to defend herself by making her speech.  Her name NEVER should have even come up in the coverage of this case.  The Tea Party and talk radio NEVER should have come up in connection to this case.  It was so wrong and I wish our president had led by coming out early on and ask the media to tamp it down.  He has done that previously, advising us not to jump to conclusions, to wait for the facts.  He should not have sit by and watched his fellow-Americans falsely accused in the manner they were.

The applause and cat calls from the audience were very disrespectful and out of place for a memorial service.  I wonder who was doing that?

P. S.:  And in some quarters, it has not stopped.  Chris Matthews just night before last featured Mark Levin and Michael Savage as TARGETS of his wrath.  Levin (who is a lawyer and a very brilliant man) said last night the very next time he is falsely accused and that his name is smeared he will SUE for libel, he will sue all involved starting with the corporate bosses right on down to the commentator, he will depose them all, and he will not settle.  It will go before a jury.

A commenter at the Washington Post:   “The mainstream media will never again be able to create a narrative that is contrary to the facts. Their day, for the most part, is over. The internet and talk radio, among other things, serve as a kind of modern day Paul Revere sounding the alarm whenever we are fed a load of BS and act as a necessary corrective.”

Jared Loughner’s mother and Giffords attended same synagogue – or did they?

Just some information which may or may not be of interest and may or may not be of any significance and may or may not be true.

Amy Joanne Totman and Randy Loughner were married on April 24, 1986 in Pima County — or perhaps that’s the day they got their license, Arizona state records show. No judge is listed — perhaps suggesting they were married by clergy?

And there is a connection between Loughner and Giffords – they are both jewish and go to the same congregation, Chaverim.  I think this has come to light because Amy Loughner, Jared’s mother, has a maiden name of Totman.

Now that reminds me of Mark Potok, who may or may not be jewish, with the Southern Poverty Law Center.  Which has a connection to this case through Judge John Roll who presided over the following case:

Poverty Law Center (SPLC) report, December, 2006: “An Arizona jury, acting in a lawsuit sponsored by the Southern Poverty Law Center, ordered border vigilante Roger Barnett to pay $98,750 to a family of Mexican-Americans he terrorized in 2004.”  (The SPLC is well-known for their open borders position and bigoted and vicious attacks on those who propose to curtail illegal immigration.)

Now is Dupnik a jewish name?  I have no idea, but if it is,  Clarence Dupnik could also be a member of the Chaverim congregation where the Giffords and Amy Loughner attended.

Of course, some of this is just speculation or just my opinion, some from digging around on the internet, and some maybe just made up.  Any.body can make things up.

Mrs. Amy Loughner is also a Pima County employee, Pima County of course being the county where Dupnik is the sheriff.  So the two of them could know each other from work, or from attending the same synagogue, and they could have struck up an affair and they could actually be the parents of Jared Loughner.

I know, I know, that’s all just speculation or maybe I just made it all up, but it makes a lot more sense than blaming Sarah Palin or Rush Limbaugh or a few “cross hairs” on a map over a year ago for the murder of six people.

And a funny post I came across by Yid With Lid:

Finger-pointing rampant in aftermath of Arizona shooting

Finger-pointing began a few hours after this shooting.  It is important to note that all the fingers and all the accusing mouths were on the left side of the equation.  This post is in RESPONSE to all that blame that has come from the left in less than two days, the rampant hypocrisy from the self-righteous progressive left wing that has taken over the democrat party.  Gabrielle Giffords was a democrat, but she was a “blue dog” democrat and they are hated just about as bad as republicans by those in power in that party.

Almost from the moment of this Arizona shooting, the left wing in the country, and this includes the left wing media – or maybe especially the left wing media – have been trying to somehow blame the right, talk radio, Fox News, Sarah Palin, for this tragedy.

First of all, it infuriates me.  One person shot and killed and wounded these people and we’re talking about people who were not there and have not one thing to do with this.

But even more, they can’t seem to see or don’t want to see, it is really their side who is violent, who constantly uses hate speech to those who do not agree with them, and their reaction to this shooting is a perfect example of that.  In trying to blame the right, they have made this all about politics and as a opportunity to use it for political advantage.

Anybody who has been on the internet for any length of time has long known the hate language comes without restraint from, yes, Obama people.  Now they want to project their own constant use of “vitriolic” speech onto others.  They could not wait!  They did not wait, not even until the shooter had been named, not for any of the facts to come out.  Of course, as it turns out the shooter is a leftist probably fueled by the rhetoric of the hateful left wing.

The first I heard was Linda Lopez who came on with Shep Smith naming the tea party as the culprit and I remember she specifically said the shooter was an “Afghan vet.”  Of course, he was not a veteran of any kind.  Oh, but they want him to be a veteran so it will fit within some profile that Janet Napolitano and whats his name Potok, Mark Potok, has put together as those to watch for.  Shep Smith did not stop her nor challenge her either.  I can’t remember just how far into the story this was, but if you can pinpoint when the name of the shooter came out, you can know it was before that.

The MSM has carried this narrative all weekend.  This did not happen until sometime late Saturday morning.  I am rambling, but I can’t help it.  This has to be said ramble or not.

If anything EVER happens, God forbid, to Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck or any other of the targets of their “vitriol” it will be easy to point to many, many, many statements of suggested violence and death that the left has wished on them and to make them responsible.  I keep saying vitriol because that was the word the sheriff of Pima County kept using during his minutes before the camera as he proceeded to blame talk radio, et cetera, for the shooting.  This is a law enforcement person, sheriff of a county, and you would think he was a paid Obama mouth piece.

I’m going to put up just a few examples of violence hoped for and the two I have in mind right now were said on MSNBC, that’s national tv, one by Chris Matthews, the other by Mark Penn (Obama advisor).  I’m sure there are countless examples coming from Keith Olbermann but none come to mind right now.

So the hypocritical and sanctimonious LECTURING  coming from the left trying to say that ALL (oh, and Gene Robinson – again on MSNBC) uncivil  and problematic language comes from the right.  Yeah, Robinson said so in plain words.  I’ll put up his video, too.  I am recalling something that was written by Paul Krugman, NYT, but I haven’t read that.  But the examples of finger pointing and the blame game that has been engaged in by the democrat/progressive/leftist public broadcasting outlets is countless.  And it’s only Monday morning.  We’re not even talking about the web sites such as Daily Kos, but from MAINSTREAM television and print outlets.

The only thing that is anything other than speculation and wishful thinking that has been mentioned is the map that Sarah Palin had published using gun sights – I don’t know, not a gun person – and saying something like “reload.”  This is the only evidence that has been produced and I dare say that is because there is no evidence of violence or threats coming from the mainstream conservative ranks.

Well, Daily Kos has already REMOVED from their website references to Ms.  Giffords (along with other democrats they opposed) in bulls eye to be defeated.  Now, I know they are only talking about working to have them defeated.  But, hey, if we’re going to talk about language that is used frequently in the political realm, then they have to be held to the same scrutiny.

The democrats have used this method of expression – marking opponents, et cetera – and I’ll post examples of that below.

But, now, to start with, we have a president who promised to bring America together and promote unity.  Here’s just a few statements he has made that uses language of combat or violence.  Oh, and by the way he is a democrat, far left one at that.  So we don’t have much leadership.

** Obama: “They Bring a Knife…We Bring a Gun”
** Obama to His Followers: “Get in Their Faces!”
** Obama on ACORN Mobs: “I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!”
** Obama to His Mercenary Army: “Hit Back Twice As Hard”
** Obama on the private sector: “We talk to these folks… so I know whose ass to kick.

He also very recently has said if the republicans win in the November election, there will be “hand to hand combat.”  And he has recently referred to republicans as “holding hostage” or “hostage takers” when referring to their opposition to some legislation.

Harry Reid called the tea party evil=mongers and Nancy Pelosi said the tea party was made up of a mob and Nazis.  At the time, these were the three top leaders of our country.  Democrats .  Right, democrats.

So, come on, the English language is full of words that can be used in different ways.  Just this morning I came across three of them.  My computer came up with a choice, copy, paste, delete, or RELOAD.  I was also thinking of using some BULLET points and TARGETING certain examples I had in mind.  So to attribute some nefarious meaning to every word without taking into consideration what is really meant by it is dishonest and really pretty silly in my estimation.

So what are we going to do, eliminate  words?  I don’t think so.  Any attempt to do that is going to make me use the word more.  I wouldn’t even be talking about this except in defense.  I’m not in favor of the word police.

Here are my examples of the MSM using violent language.  Both of these just happen to be MSNBC.  But it is just a well known fact that MSNBC is the face of the liberal democrat progressive in this country.  No denying that.

Obama just needs an “Oklahoma bombing” moment

And below, Chris Matthews says something about putting a pellet in Rush Limbaugh’s mouth and watching his head explode.

And Eugene Robinson (again MSNBC) saying violent rhetoric exclusively comes from the right:

Is he delusional?

Now, I ask you, just assuming for the sake of argument the Arizona shooter was influenced by something he heard, knowing what we now know about the left leanings of Jared Loughner, would he be more likely to watch MSNBC or listen to Rush Limbaugh?

But, of course, I heard a report last night that, after thoroughly searching his house, his computer, his writings, there was found not one mention of talk radio, the tea party, Sarah Palin, or anything that would connect him to them.

Examples of  use of bulls eyes or target points by democrats and Daily Kos when planning campaigning tactics using terms as “behind enemy lines” and “ripe targets.”

dLooks like bulls eyes when you look closely

I am adding the image below of a post that appeared on the Daily Kos two days before the shooting.  The most important fact about this particular post is that it is not random  – his congresswoman was Gabrielle Giffords.  He talks about her being dead to him because of a Vote she made and two days later she is shot in the head.  I can tell you this actually was there because I saw it, but within hours, maybe minutes of the shooting, Daily Kos removed it.  Now, if a suspect to a crime tries to destroy evidence or flees it is considered evidence of guilt.  The reason we have a copy of this is because it was captured by Hillbuzz just in time.

Michele Malkin has a great compilation of examples on this topic.

Oh, and by the way, I want to mark this down for the record – this gunman was NOT clinging to the Bible.  He was a raving atheist with some kind of voodoo shrine in his back yard.

Arizona shooter appears to be deranged leftist

What a tragedy in Arizona today.

I just heard the sheriff of the county in which this mass shooting occurred say he thought there was too much vitriol in the country and that Arizona seemed to be a catalyst for prejudice and bigotry.

I’m really glad he brought that up. The vitriol coming from leftist commentators such as Keith Olbermann and others on MSNBC on a daily basis could tend to influence an unstable individual such as Jared Loughner clearly is, even though it is no excuse for his actions. And from Loughner’s profile, I’m sure that would more than likely be his network of choice. And even the president has encouraged lawlessness in Arizona by pitting the United States government against Arizona in a lawsuit. There is a lot of prejudice and bigotry against anyone who disagrees or speaks out against the leftist agenda.

I clicked on a link to the Daily Kos to reach a post called “My CongressWOMAN voted against Nancy Pelosi! And is now DEAD to me!” written only two days ago when a few democrats, including Gabrielle Giffords, voted for someone other than Nancy Pelosi as minority leader. I bookmarked the page to go back to it later, and then I thought, I believe I’ll just copy that page, which I did. I went back to it shortly thereafter, and lo and behold it had been removed. Now why would they want that removed I wonder?

I notice several others thought the same thing and got a screen shot of it.

It seems that though Mrs. Giffords is a democrat, she is a blue dog conservative democrat and that has not set too well with “Mr. Kos” since June of 2008 when he put a bull’s eye on her, I suppose for defeat.

Mrs. Giffords is a staunch supporter of gun rights, is pro-life , strong on border control, and was one of three congressmen who urged President Obama not to file a law suit against Arizona.

Both Hillbuzz and Sweetness and Light have done an excellent job of posting shots of the sites and posts that are frantically being removed from the net, so I won’t post all of it here.

I’ll just post this profile that was on Loughner’s You Tube site.

And this very, very strange and scary video that he marked as a favorite. I don’t know if this creepy figure is him or not, but I did see a comment that makes me think he was involved in it somehow or at least knew the person who was. This probably will be removed soon, too, but it has been downloaded to several computers.
