Q and A: Who gave Sandusky office space and Emeritus status at Penn State?

Q. Who gave Jerry Sandusky office space on Penn State campus?

A.  It was part of the retirement agreement between the University and Sandusky.

Quote from retirement agreement, which is an Exhibit attached to Freeh report:

“The university will permit you to use, at no charge, a locker, weight rooms, fitness facilities and training room in the East Area locker room complex.  This benefit will continue for the balance of your lifetime.”

and

“For a period of ten years commencing July 1 1999 and subject to renewal upon concurrence of both parties you will be given an office and a phone in the East Area Locker room complex…..”

Agreement was signed by Tim Curley and Gary Schultz along with Jerry Sandusky on June 29, 1999.  The full agreement, Exhibit 3H, can be seen in the Report.

Q.  Who granted Jerry Sandusky Emeritus status at his retirement in 1999?

A. Graham Spanier, President of Penn State

An excerpt of an email from Rodney A. Erickson, August 31, 1999:

“Let’s go ahead and grant it [emeritus status], if Graham[Spanier] has already promised it.”

Further excerpt of email by Robert Secor on Aug 31, 1999 who wrote:

“But we are in a bind  Apparently Graham told [redacted but obviously referring to Sandusky] that we would do this, he was wholly within his rights here since the policy says “The President may grant (or deny) Emeritus Rank on an exception basis.”

I am sure there were others who had to sign off on this emeritus status, but clearly it was recommended by Graham Spanier.

Just some questions I have been wondering about.  The Report is well over 200 pages long and I have not gotten through it all yet.  The above are direct quotes from exhibits which are copies of the actual documents.

All this said to point out that although I now have heard that somehow it was Joe Paterno’s fault that Sandusky had an office and access to the campus, dammit, he didn’t have anything to do with that.

I’m just saying, there was a lot of work that went into this report, it is very detailed as to dates and events and the media should not just throw it in a corner but they need to tell the truth when they report this.  If they want to pull out a sentence here and there, there is a huge choice of sentences and quotes that can be reported on.

ABC and corrupt media DISTORT Freeh report on Sandusky.

I just heard an ABC radio news report that is so misleading and deceptive it is just beyond words.  I have been trying to keep from getting upset over the news coverage on the Penn State Freeh report, but this was just beyond the pale.

The broadcaster said:  The report said that Joe Paterno and others – AND OTHERS – sought to conceal and on and on and on.  Well, THE OTHERS just happen to be the Ex-President of the University, Graham Spanier/ the Vice-President of Finance and Business who is in charge of THE CAMPUS POLICE, Gary Schult; and Athletic Director, Tim Curley.

And here he goes again.  Quote:  “report called Joe Paterno AND OTHERS callous and shocking.”  This makes me livid.

And I wonder is NOBODY going to mention that Graham Spanier was considered by Obama for Secretary of Education, good liberal democrat that he is.

So the Freeh report gave a few words on Joe Paterno (which wasn’t much at all, just something that Schultz said about TALKING TO HIM and then changing his mind) and excoriated the other three, but the few words is all that is needed for the corrupt media to seize Joe Paterno, even after the man is dead and gone and in the grave, and fail to even mention the names of these three plotting, coniving administrators who were only concerned about being “humane” to who? Not the abused boys, but the serial child molester, Jerry Sandusky.

Of course, Joe Paterno cannot even defend himself, and the investigation DID NOT even talk to him before he died.  He had a MINOR, VERY MINOR role in this, probably the VERY LEAST of anybody.  And they have to drag his name up from the GRAVE to take the blame in the PUBLIC AS THE MEDIA lays it all on him.

I don’t care a flip about Penn State football or football in general but I do care about dragging this man’s name through the mud and leaving the other three untouched, not in the report, but in the WAY THE MEDIA IS REPORTING IT.  They, the Big Three, Spanier, Schultz, and Curley, conspired to cover this abuse up and allowed the Serial Child Molester, Jerry Sandusky, to have an office and free access to the campus.  Emeritus status, no less, after he retired in 1999.

Something has to be done about this corrupt media in this country.  They are so bold in their deception and they lie all the time.  There are some people who catch the news on the fly that I can’t even convince that Joe Paterno was NOT the molester of young boys.  This is the way they presented it – Joe Paterno, child molester, child rape in the same sentence enough times and they get the desired result – and now that he’s DEAD they continue to minimize the roles of the senior officials at Penn State from responsibility.

So why do you think they WON’T name these other three men, especially Graham Spanier?  It is precisely because they KNOW the result of how they are reporting this, the psychological brainwashing and manipulation, that if they said Graham Spanier, child molester, child rapist enough times in the same sentence, he would become the one with the ruined name and they don’t want that.

Is this intentional?  You damn right it’s intentional.  Did they edit tapes to distort the recent case in Florida to make it look worse and fit into their agenda.  You damn right they did.

I absolutely hate the media more every day.  And I have refused to watch except the reading of the report by Freeh himself and a little bit of what the blabber mouths were saying about it.  I was watching HLN and they were broadcasting his word for word reading of the report, UNTIL it got to the point where it was talking about Spanier, Schultz, and Curley and they cut away to commercials and COMMENTS by people just mouthing off about it.  I wanted to HEAR THE REPORT ITSELF.  Because that’s the only thing you can believe.

And so I am listening to the radio to get away from the misrepresentations on tv, and I have to hear this ABC REPORT that has made it impossible for me to be silent.

If anybody wants to know the TRUTH, please read the report, which I am trying to find but CANNOT because I don’t think they want anybody to actually read the thing.  I WILL FIND IT though and post a link.  You cannot believe a thing you hear on the so-called NEWS.

Okay.  Here’s the pdf of the Freeh Report:  http://www.thefreehreportonpsu.com/REPORT_FINAL_071212.pdf

Here’s a short article on some of the emails of the Big Three, Spanier, Schultz, and Curley plotting how to cover up the Sandusky problem.  Paterno was involved in no emails, but Curley mentioned having talked to him about what to do with Sandusky.

Spanier to be charged? Emails between Spanier, Schultz, and Curley come to light in Sandusky case

Investigators are mulling whether to bring charges against former Penn State president Graham Spanier for possibly helping to cover up child abuse allegations against Jerry Sandusky, according to a new report.

Authorities have “major new evidence,” including emails between Spanier, former university vice president Gary Schultz and ex-athletic director Tim Curley, NBC News reported Monday.

Schultz and Curley have pleaded not guilty to perjury charges for allegedly lying to a grand jury about what they were told about Sandusky’s alleged conduct.

One email between Spanier and Schultz reportedly concluded with them agreeing it would be “humane” not to tell authorities about possible child molestation by the assistant football coach in 2001.

There is absolutely no telling how deep and how dark this thing goes.
Cover up?  There is no doubt, and for all those years where there were more victims, it was known what was going on with Sandusky.  The latest victim (Victim #1), the boy who brought this all to light, is only 18 years old today.
What is not made clear is the fact that Jerry Sandusky did not work for Penn State in any capacity since 1999.  June 1999
Sandusky retires from Penn State but still holds emeritus status.
He was given an office and unlimited access to university facilities by the university.
And Spanier goes to work for the federal government (no surprise):  http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2012/04/post_340.html

NBC news issued a national report this morning citing legal sources who said more charges are likely and could include former Penn State President Graham Spanier.

Report:  The report said investigators have “major new evidence” including emails exchanged in 2001 by Spanier and university officials Gary Schultz and Tim Curley, both already facing charges of perjury and failure to report a crime.  http://pennstate.247sports.com/Board/18/Report-Graham-Spanier-to-be-charged-10080541/1

Penn State students upset about firing of Paterno

mmmm The students at Penn State are mad at the media = furious at the media.  I think it was a CNN van they turned over.  They got it right.  Wish I had been there to help them.  Kidding, of course.

These kids know the score and they see that Paterno has been made a scapegoat, leveling all the blame at him, almost as if he was the one who did the dirty deeds.

I read the Grand Jury Report and it plainly stated that it was the head of this institution who was responsible to notify the police and the child welfare 48 hours of being notified of this offense in 2002.

Sandusky and others have barely been mentioned in the national coverage.  And though Schultz, and Curley have been charged and the President, Graham Spanier has been fired, all the blitz has been directed at the coach.

I do think it’s a shame that this old man has to leave his life’s work under a cloud that the liberal media has caused.  I wonder if he would have been fired if it had not been for this adverse coverage.  Maybe he should have been fired but I don’t think so.

I think these students know this was a witch hunt, a media hit job.  HLN is commenting that the Penn State students care more about football than they do the victims of sexual assault.  Maybe they just know who is really responsible.  Just maybe.

Meanwhile, Sandusky is out on bail probably molesting more boys.

Direct quote from the Grand Jury Report:

Although (Gary) Schultz oversaw the Univeristy Police as part of his position, he never reported the 2002 incident to the University Police or other police agency…..

The Grand Jury concludes that the sexual assault of the minor made in 2002 should have been reported to the Penn. Department of Public Welfare and/or a law enforcement agency such as the university Police or Penn State Police.  The univ by its senior staff Gary Schultz, Senior Vice President for Finance and Business and Tim Curley Athletic Director was notified by two different Penn State state employees of the alleged sexual exploitation of that youth.  Pennsylvanie mandatory reporting statute for suspected child abuse (statute #) provides that when a staff member reports abuse, pursuant to statute, the person in charge of the school or institution has the responsibility and legal obligation to report or cause such a report to be made….within 48 hours.
