Joke of the Day: “MSNBC is a news operation” says Maddow

This is is rich.  Rachel Maddow, says:  “MSNBC is not a political operation.  Fox is.  We are a news operation.” 🙂  🙂  🙂

Now, Rachel it’s just not right to lie.  I guess it’s easy though if the truth is not in you.

She is so focused on finding something to criticize Fox about that she either can’t see or does not care what her own network does.

What a circus this network is.  Just throw a tent over it.  She was able to find one incident where someone asked for money on FOX.  As you will see in the video, there are so many times a candidate asked for money and referenced a website on MSNBC it’s just too many to count.  Right after she makes that profound statement, uh, lie, whoever put the clips together inserted one word used by suspended clown Keith Olbermann – “fart.”  Oh, the depth of thought…..That just about says it all as to MSNBC being a professional news operation

.

Thank goodness at least one money hawker on MSNBC, Alan Grayson, D-FL, was defeated and maybe we won’t have to hear from him again.

Ms Maddow’s examples of this happening on FNC? A grand total of: one. John Kasich, appearing on Hannity, gave out his website URL and encouraged donations. It’s the only example Maddow gave because it’s the one Media Matters cited. That’s called ‘journalism’.

H/T to Johnny Dollar and Big Journalism.

Election night cable ratings – Fox Rules

I thought CNN had excellent coverage last night.

MSNBC was a disgrace.  An absolute disgrace.  The place needs to be padlocked.  Now get this, Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O’Donnell, and Eugene Robinson.  See anything a little out of joint about this?  But then I guess they don’t have anything but far left people on the network.  But could they have invited someone in to have a little itty bit of balance.  Maybe no one would come on.

And these grown people, supposedly civil, educated people, professional journalists, on national tv acted like a bunch of high school kids, giggling and laughing in the background, badgering the interviewees.  Especially especially especially the women.  I’ll try to put up a video of the treatment they gave Michele Bachmann and congresswoman Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee.  Anyone who is conservative and goes on that network really deserves whatever they get, I guess, because it’s nothing but an ambush from the word go.  But just the disrespect and mocking of these bullies left me feeling sick and I felt like crying.  These are vicious people on there – all of them.  They are hatred and bigotry on display.

Where is Zell Miller when you need him?   His conversation with Chris Matthews has even more relevancy today than it did back then.  Mr. Miller called Matthews on his treatment of a woman.  It really is too bad we can’t have a duel in these days.  I think it would very quickly reveal who the cowards are.

Here’s the Bachmann interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdan9FyoyQE

Someone has compiled some of the highlight moments of this circus called MSNBC:  http://www.theblaze.com/stories/daily-beast-moments-from-msnbcs-apocalyptic-night/

But, hey, they and their network get what they deserve as well – ratings so low as to be a scratch.   And as long as there are video tapes of their performance, there will be questions for future generations how, in 2010, this behavior, especially towards women, was tolerated.

What does Glenn Beck and Lindsey Lohan have in common?

I have actually been driven from all the news programs, even  Fox.  I can maybe take five minutes at the time.

Glenn Beck has about the best program on right now, without a doubt.  His show is filled with fact and history and investigative reporting that puts the others to shame and absolutely worth watching – most days.  Even he has some bad ones though.

“No Ratings”

But this is just so funny, him writing a message on his fingernails to illustrate just how low the news has gone as to make a really big story out of what Lindsey Lohan wrote on her fingernail.  I am sure her message was sincere, but it was not breaking news, but more appropriate for Entertainment Tonight.  And there is no lack of important news either,  but it’s all just pure propaganda and diversion.

Just an example of the ratings from July 7, 2010:

At 5:00
Beck on Fox:  1,950,000
MSNBC Matthews:  575,000

or

At 8:00
O’Reilly on Fox:  3,017,000  (who has thoroughly turned me off lately, by the way)
MSNBC Olbermann:  855,000

or

At 9:00
Hannity on Fox:   2,160,000
MSNBC Maddow:  796,000

Fox takes top 6 in January 26 ratings

CABLE NEWS RACE
TUES., JAN., 26, 2010

FOXNEWS O'REILLY 3,581,000
FOXNEWS BECK 3,196,000
FOXNEWS HANNITY 3,133,000
FOXNEWS BAIER 2,624,000
FOXNEWS GRETA 2,415,000

CNNHN GRACE 914,000
MSNBC OLBERMANN 818,000
CNN KING 796,000
MSNBC MADDOW 726,000

Interesting that the top CNN show is the Joy Behar Show.  Olbermann, Larry King, and Rachel Maddow bottom three, and I don’t even see Chris Matthews on the list, nor Anderson Cooper. Does that mean they were a scratch?

CABLE NUMBERS FOR 11.03.09 ELECTION NITE

NIELSEN CABLE NUMBERS FOR LAST NIGHT, 11.03.09 (8-11 p.m.)

FOXNEWS: 4,043,000 viewers (1,130,000 in A25-54)

MSNBC: 974,000 viewers(308,000 in A25-54)

HEADLINE NEWS: 842,000 viewers(341,000 in A25-54)

CNN: 826,000 viewers (227,000 in A25-54)...

These numbers are not surprising – if you wanted to see any coverage at all to speak of, you had to watch FOX.  Corzine was giving his concession speech – CNN was not covering it – MSNBC was not covering it either.  Then when Christie came out to give his acceptance speech, again, only on FOX.  The other two were just going on and on with their little opinions about everything.  That is really not coverage.

But the difference between FOX at 4,000,000 to its nearest competitor, MSNBC, at 974,000 is just stunning.  The public is speaking at the polls and it is also speaking with the tv dial.  And, that, in spite of the fact the White House has declared FOX is not a real news channel.

Okay.  Fine.  And I just read that Pelosi says the dems won last night and they are going headlong ahead on healthcare.   They are not listening.

Drudge had an ad up a little earlier placed by a private citizen to call the Capitol tomorrow to protest the healthcare bill – (202) 224-3121.  That is if you can’t be there on the Capitol steps at noon in person.
