Why is Fox promoting Huntsman? – Who?

I want to know why Fox is giving creepy Jon Huntsman so much air time.

I don’t even want to type his name and give him any more name recognition.

He is not even a tier 1 candidate and should not have been included in the debate.  So why are they playing into the “grand plan” for Huntsman to insert himself into the race when nobody wants him.  I heard some MSNBC spokesman say he “was the adult” in the debate.  So the media and probably the democrats are using this guy.  Even the questions he was given in the debate were obviously planted just to make him stand out as some kind of “reasonable” person.  One such question I am convinced was practiced with him for his answer to be just perfect.  I don’t trust this guy AT ALL.

Hillbuzz has something as to a theory on what he is up to.  I don’t know but something is up with him.  http://hillbuzz.org/2011/09/09/was-jon-huntsman-promised-hed-be-the-next-secretary-of-state-if-obama-wins-re-election-because-of-huntsmans-planned-independent-spoiler-candidacy/

(But even Obama himself said in his speech last night that he would only be in office for 14 more months.

But know this: the next election is fourteen months away. And the people who sent us here – the people who hired us to work for them – they don’t have the luxury of waiting fourteen months.

Didn’t he just say in 14 months we can elect somebody who will fix the jobs situation?  That he only has 14 more months to do something and that’s why they have to hurry, hurry, hurry?)

But back to Huntsman,  why is Fox giving him  so much air time? (He looks like the circulation has been cut off to his head. )  Get him off the tv.

Chris Wallace is a flake and a jackass

Michele Bachmann answered as follows when Chris Wallace asked her yesterday if she was a flake:

“Well, I think that would be insulting to say something like that because I’m a serious person,” Bachmann said. “[W]hat I would say is that I am 55 years old. I’ve been married 33 years. I’m not only a lawyer, I have a post-doctorate degree in federal tax law from William and Mary. I’ve worked in serious scholarship and in have worked in the Unites States federal tax court.

My husband and I have raised five kids and 23 foster children.

We’ve applied ourselves to education reform. We started a charter school for at-risk kids.

I’ve also been a state senator and a member of United States Congress for five years. I’ve been very active in our business.

As a job creator, I understand job creation. But also I’ve been leading actively the movement in Washington, D.C., with those who are affiliated with fiscal reform.

And you, Chris Wallace, what are you?  A jackass.

I see he has made an apology, so good for him.  He came off as unprofessional, ungentlemanly, and childish.  Maybe too much silly soup.

When reporting this, MSNBC, cut her statement after “federal tax court.”

Chris Wallace is married to Lorraine Smothers, the f0rmer wife of comedian Dick Smothers. She recently published a book entitled Mr. Sunday’s Soups with her soup recipes.

Glenn Beck stands with Israel – Powerful statement (video)

Oh, this is so good.  It is not hard to tell good from evil.  The truth will set you free.

You Tube/Google takes one down, I try again.

Not too many are bold enough to speak out with all the powers that  be out to destroy them.  He prefaced these comments by saying that he had already lost everything one time and he was not afraid of losing everything again, but was compelled to speak.

See a more complete summary of today’s show at Glenn Beck.com.

NYT David Carr worried about Glenn Beck’s ratings

*****

  • Glenn Beck – 1,929,000
  • MSNBC – Chris Matthews Hardball – 728,000
  • CNN – Wolf Blitzer Situation Room – 735,000

*****

David Carr, New York Times, sounds like he’s been sucking on some sour grapes.  He writes a lamentation about some “worrisome erosion” of the Glenn Beck Program at 5:00 p.m. daily, but it is more wishful thinking, I do believe.

He calls his piece “The Fading Power of Beck’s Alarm” and it is pretty much summed up in the following paragraph:

But a funny thing happened on the way from the revolution. Since last August, when he summoned more than 100,000 followers to the Washington mall for the “Restoring Honor” rally, Mr. Beck has lost over a third of his audience on Fox — a greater percentage drop than other hosts at Fox. True, he fell from the great heights of the health care debate in January 2010, but there has been worrisome erosion — more than one million viewers — especially in the younger demographic.

Put another way, his ratings are sinking and Fox is, he surmises, going to dismiss him.  Oh, well.

I will say that I am a little weary of All the “news.”  Total overload.  The spectacle in Wisconsin is so thoroughly disgusting, I have disengaged entirely from the television.  And that is really saying something.  I have had enough.

And Mr. Carr and his brand of “reporting” is a major reason why it is useless to listen, watch, or read what others have to say about any given situation.  He has written a story based on a fabrication.  The entire message from the headline on down was that Glenn Beck’s ratings were tanking.  I don’t know what his top numbers were, but according to Mr. Carr’s calculations of losing a million viewers, that would put him up to 3 million, but I wouldn’t call nearly 2 million viewers a “worrisome erosion.”  Oh, and by the way, the 100,000 attending the Restoring Honor rally was more like 500,000.

[I just checked and there was a point in 2009 when Beck did have more than 3 million viewers.  That is amazing at an odd hour like five p.m.  So Mr. Carr was right in saying he has lost about a million.  Still, he still has more than the others put together.]

Here’s the “By the Numbers” Nielsen ratings for the 5:00 o’clock hour on Thursday, March 3, 2011, the last available numbers:

  • Glenn Beck – 1,929,000
  • MSNBC – Chris Matthews Hardball – 728,000
  • CNN – Wolf Blitzer Situation Room – 735,000
