Obama Adds 6 trillion to national debt

Under President Barack Obama, the national debt has grown by more than $6 trillion, the largest increase under any president in U.S. history.

According to the Treasury Department, the national public debt now stands at $16,687,289,180,215.37.

On the first day of Obama’s first term, the debt was $10.626 trillion.

Under President George W. Bush, the debt grew $4.9 trillion in eight years.

Presently, the federal government is embroiled in a contentious debate over $85 billion in budget cuts, or 0.005% as a percentage of the national debt.

Debt crisis looms again

August 2, 2011, Obama signed the law allowing the federal debt ceiling be raised from $14.3 trillion dollars to $16.7 trillion dollars.

This is less than a month later, August 30, 2011, and the debt is increasing so fast you can’t even write it down.

Won’t be long before it reaches $16 trillion and they will want to raise it again.  That’s guaranteed.

According the CNN, this was supposed to extend to 2013 beyond the 2012 election.

Here’s a recap of how that went down in summer of 2011:http://www.npr.org/2011/08/02/138916516/senate-takes-up-debt-limit-bill-passage-likely

Well, in less than a year, that $2 trillion has been borrowed and spent and we are now up against the ceiling once more.

The national debt now exceeds GDP.

The debt is over $50,000 per citizen.

The obama has said he will not tolerate another fight to reduce spending that the republicans waged in 2011.  I think he wants to “tax the rich.”  Where did I get that idea?

Some calculations have been made that if you take every dime from every person and family with adjusted gross income of over a million dollars, it would run the government for about 100 days.

The obama submitted a budget that was so irresponsible it was just voted down in the congress with 0 votes – that’s Zero votes – because not even one democrat was willing to attach their name to it.

The Senate has not submitted a budget in over 3 years, which is required by law every year.

The republicn House of Representatives has submitted to the Senate 2 or three budget plans to cut spending and balance the budget, yet,

“Democrats controlling the Senate rejected for the second year in a row Wednesday a budget plan passed by House Republicans.”

That’s Wednesday, 5.16.12.

And further, you will hear the democrats and the president whining on about how it is republicans who are the problem.

And the corrupt media will serve as their mouthpiece, repeating whatever they are told to say.

Carney’s psycho projection: calls Ryan and supporters aggressively ignorant with diminished capacity to boot

Wow.  Is he getting hysterical or what?

From the Washington Examiner:

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney didn’t pull any punches in his attack on Paul Ryan’s budget, as he declared that supporters of the budget — and by extension, Ryan himself — are “aggressively and deliberately ignorant” about the need for green energy and other programs slated for cuts.

“You have to be aggressively and deliberately ignorant of the world economy not to know and understand that clean energy technologies are going to play a huge role in the 21st century,” Carney said after decrying the clean energy spending cuts in Ryan’s plan. “You have to have severely diminished capacity to understand what drives economic growth in industrialized countries in this century if you do not understand that education is the key that unlocks the door to prosperity,” he added.

Carney concluded that “the budget proposed by Chairman Ryan and supported overwhelmingly already by Republicans suggests that those problems” — aggressive ignorance and diminished comprehension — “exist in the minds of the supporters of that plan.”

And his boss tomorrow is going to Copper Mountain Solar in Nevada (battleground state) to show us just how successful his idiotic green energy is.  Plant has 5 full time employees, supposedly provides energy for 17,000 homes.  In Nevada?  NO, in California.  So, give obama and his bunch a brain and they’ll take it out and play with it.

We are heading over a cliff and the obama administration is whistling Dixie.  http://www.usdebtclock.org/

At Copper Mountain Solar where obama will speak tomorrow

Now don’t you know it takes a REAL mind to waste money on this.  Just mark me down as aggressively ignorant.  That’ll be just fine.

Obama should be ashamed

for his frivilous and wasteful use of Air Force One.

Flying to Florida just to make a speech on high gas prices is bad enough, but staying in the air to watch a game is criminal.

For the record, the military pegged the hourly cost of flying Air Force One at $181,000.  So Obama’s extra time in the air cost taxpayers $90,500.

Doug Ross reported on this from The Daily Mail:

The President lives a lavish lifestyle and loves his expensive luxury vacations, at a time while Americans are hurting. He is frequently seen eating burgers and fatty foods while in public at a time that the First Lady is promoting healthy eating by others.

This Administration seems to have a “Let Them Eat Cake – but make it a Diet Low Carb Cake” mentality.

President Obama flew to Florida this past week to explain high gas prices.  According to the Washington Post, on his way to Florida this past Thursday, reporters were “perplexed” at the President’s 41 minute flight from Washington, DC to Orlando, Florida taking 1 hour and 15 minutes. The flight was in the air an extra 30 minutes, burning precious fossil fuels.

It does not seem a coincidence that the President landed right at half time of an NBA basketball game between the star studded Miami Heat and New York Knicks.  Some theorized that the President delayed his flight in the air to watch more of the basketball game.

CBO projects debt to soar under Obama to $21 trillion by 2022

The Congressional Budget Office projects that the national debt under President Obama’s policies will rise to $21.665 trillion by 2022, according to its updated budget outlook.

The updated outlook, released Tuesday, found that current Obama administration policies will result in a 50 percent increase in debt held by the public and a 40 percent increase in intra-governmental debt held in the trust funds of entitlement programs.

…..

“As a result, gross federal debt is projected to climb every year from 2012 to 2022, reaching $21.7 trillion in 2022—47 percent more than its total of $14.8 trillion at the end of 2011.”

These projections come under CBO’s so-called baseline scenario, which assumes that all provisions of current law go into effect – including the massive tax increases currently scheduled to take effect in 2013 when the Bush tax rates are set to expire.

This is going to collapse and there’s no doubt about it.  It’s just a matter of when.  And every time somebody tries to address the problem, the democrats, led by obama, screech like crazy and insist on spending more and more.

Senator Rubio informs president of his opposition to raising debt ceiling

Marco Rubio has declared to obama that he will oppose raising debt ceiling any further:

In a scathing letter sent to Barack Obama this morning, Senator Marco Rubio said that under the President’s first term in office, “more and more people have come to believe that America is becoming a deadbeat nation.”
Rubio went on to pledge that he would challenge any further increase in the debt ceiling, arguing that “we [Congress] need to make it routine to actually spend no more than we take in.” In the letter obtained by HUMAN EVENTS, the Florida Senator said that President Obama’s upcoming request to increase the debt ceiling by a whopping $1.2 trillion will cause the nation’s public debt to surpass the $16 trillion mark.
“I will oppose your request to continue borrowing and spending recklessly.”

http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=48605

Current GDP  $15,105,346,000,000 (rounded)

Current Debt $15,199,051,000,000 (rounded)

At the end of August, the ceiling was raised to $16.7  trillion.

obama plans to request $1.2 trillion soon.  Just how high do they intend to go.  This does not even include SS and medicare liabilities (which is now receiving less money because of obama’s big fine so-called tax break, a reduction in FICA deductions.)

And he is worried about “payday loan” companies.

Watch him.  He may try to go around the congress on this, too.
