“The war with Muslims has just begun” says Times Square bomber

Who said we were not at war with Islam?

A defiant Shahzad said “Allahu Akbar” — Arabic for “God is great” — after the judge sentenced him to the mandatory life imprisonment.

“We are only Muslims … but if you call us terrorists, we are proud terrorists and we will keep on terrorizing you,” he said.

He added: “We do not accept your democracy or your freedom because we already have Sharia law and freedom.”

“Brace yourself because the war with the Muslims has only just begun,” he told the judge before he was sentenced during the 30-minute hearing. “The defeat of the US is imminent and will happen in the near future.”

I’ll tell you the truth, this man does not deserve to breath air.  He was given 6 concurrent life sentences.  They should have been consecutive.  FOX is now sounding like it was a big deal that he got several life sentences.  Means nothing because it is served as one.  I didn’t hear without the possibility of parole, but maybe the multiple life sentences will serve that purpose.  Though he swore allegiance to the United States to become a citizen, he stated he didn’t really mean it. Well, obviously.

He should go before a firing squad for treason.

Prisoners who are real American citizens should not have to be in the same prison with him.  I wonder if he will go to Super Max in Colorado where Zacarias Moussaoui, Richard Reid, and Ramzi Yousef are imprisoned.

Interesting that Shahzad has ties to Colorado, his wife being from there.  I know that the Obama administration, shortly after he was inaugurated, removed restrictions on Richard Reid, and so I would not be surprised if they are not running operations from the prison.

Update:

October 5, 2010

On Tuesday Faisal Shahzad, the unrepentant Times Square bomber, joined at least 35 terrorists in America who will spend the rest of their lives behind the high walls of a super-maximum security prison in Colorado.

His life-in-prison cellmates – although they may never have any personal contact with one another – include Richard Reid, the so-called shoe bomber; Ramzi Yousef, the mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing; and Zacarias Moussaoui.

Shahzad’s wife is American born from Boulder

More detail is emerging about NYC car bomb suspect Faisal Shahzad. His American born wife’s name is Huma Mian, a CU Boulder graduate in accounting. Huma Mian lived in Boulder with her sisters and father, and were described as friendly neighbors. Faisal Shahzad married Huma Mian on October 20, 2008.  Faisal Shahzad and Huma Mian have two children. Huma Mian and the children are believed by the FBI to be in Pakistan.

She grew up with her parents and at least two siblings in Aurora. Mian attended the University of Colorado in Boulder from 2000 to 2004, CU spokesman Bronson Hilliard told TheDenverChannel.com. Mian lived in Hallett Hall on campus and graduated May 7, 2004 with a business-accounting degree.

Faisal became a citizen April 17, 2009.  News reports say Shahzad’s path to citizenship was no doubt eased by his marriage to the American Mian.

Mian’s online photo gallery includes a photo of Shahzad smiling as he drives with a Bluetooth earpiece. “What can I say …. he’s my everything,” she wrote in a doting photo caption. She describes herself as a “not political” individual who likes to “party every night.” But also declares on her Facebook page “Im (sic) a Muslim & Im (sic) Proud!” and “I LOVE ALLAH.” She speaks “English (US), Pashto, Urdu, French,” according to her online profile.

UPDATED:  Another interesting detail –

Pakistani authorities have arrested several members of the family of Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad, including his father-in-law, Iftikhar Mian. News reports in the US initially suggested a possible Colorado connection between Shahzad’s wife, Huma Mian, and Najibullah Zazi, an Afghan national who pleaded guilty to a foiled New York subway attack.
