CMA Juror No 3, Jennifer Ford ABC interview

http://abcnews.go.com/US/casey_anthony_trial/casey-anthony-juror-sick-stomach-guilty-verdict/story?id=14005609

at 1:58 she said:  “We had a lot of discussion, we started to go through some stuff, but none of it…..how did she die?”  They were out for a grand total of 10 hours.

I understand if the state did not prove the case, but I heard her say it was easier for her to believe the drowning story (with no testimony at all) than to believe the state’s chloroform and duct tape evidence.  Opening statement is not evidence.   And she’s talking about punishment and they were not supposed to be considering punishment in the guilt phase of the trial.

See verdict forms and the instructions of the judge to the jury:

I listened to the video of the interview she had with ABC, and I picked up on the “we started to go through some stuff” meaning that they did not take the time to even go over the evidence.  Juror No. 3 is a 32 year old nursing student (but not in school right now) living with her mother.  I wonder who the foreperson of this jury was.

The more I find out about the jury, the more I am convinced Casey did get a jury of her peers.  One had trouble staying awake, at least one had DUIs, one had a sister who had, along with her boyfriend, done some assault on her mother.

Ford said this about her fellow-jurors:   “They picked a great bunch of people, such high integrity. And there was high morale,” she said. “We all joked. We are like a big group of cousins.”

More Casey unbelivable stuff

Casey sentencing:

In the video below, Casey is at sentencing and at the defense table, in a nice soft looks like blue to me colored pull over shirt, hair down, smiling at times, gesturing, messing with her hair and from about 24.00 she is talking to Ms. Sims in what seems a rather serious conversation, But at about 25.32 she looks up and sees Jose Baez as he walks in.   From there on for a while, it is their interaction that is worth the price of admission.  My.  My.  I was watching this in real time and I have searched and searched for a shorter video to show this segment, but so far, this is the best I can find – a video of the whole thing, so I tried to pinpoint this particular part.

Later in the day, lightning struck a tree at Suburban Drive close to the spot where Caylee’s body was found.

The tree is about five feet off the pavement on Suburban Drive and the memorial is another 10 to 15 feet beyond that. A short trail which leads down into the woods to the memorial site is essentially at the foot of the tree, according to FOX 35 Orlando in Orange County.

Just a coincidence, I am sure, as thousands of trees are hit by lightning, but it is the place and the time of this one that give you pause.

Jose Baez has already been dropped by a talent agency, and I hear that Vivid has withdrawn the offer made to Casey to “star” in some poro flicks.  This case could go either way.  Maybe they’ll make a bunch of money on it – and maybe not.

I dunno, but it looks like Somebody might be interceding for Caylee.

Casey will probably walk free this morning

I am expecting Casey Anthony to be released with time served today.  At maximum she could only be sentenced to 4 years.

So the jury has spoken.  I can understand their verdict.  I really can.  I remember when the state closed their case, I thought, is that it?  Big holes remained.  But for the remainder of the trial I was not on her side.  I guess almost no one was or is.

I do hope she is charged with restitution for the massive fraud she pulled.  And I really think her lawyer(s) should be sanctioned or fined, too, because at least Baez knew from the beginning Caylee was dead.  He has been her attorney for the entire time, and almost the first sentence out of his mouth at opening was that Caylee was NEVER missing.  So it is unthinkable how they let it go on and on.  Under any scenario, the state’s or the defense’s, there was no need for any search.   Honestly, the accident theory to me is almost worse than a murder.  At least in murder, you might expect that the body would be hidden and tossed, but if this was an accident, they gave their dogs a better burial than they gave Caylee.  Horrifying.

I do think they should transport her to Pinellas County and deposit her there upon release.  Maybe one or more of the jurors would like to take her in.

Just being sarcastic.   I heard she and Cindy will be going to Texas.  Good for Florida.  Bad for Texas.

Some Casey Anthony “you can’t make it up” stuff AKA nothing like a sore winner

Cheney Mason, Casey Anthony’s other attorney, has expressed his complete disdain for the media, both in word and deed.  I understand he was doing this case pro bono and that he up until this time has had a stellar reputation and was well-respected.  But honest to God, folks, this is about the most childish unprofessional display I have ever seen.  I think this was maybe taken through the plate glass window behind which the defense team was having a victory party yesterday, so maybe he was drunk.  Let’s hope he has some excuse.

The media or parts of it really have been awful in reporting this case and convicting Casey before her trial, but for goodness sake, he is all in for the constitution as it applies to defendants and their presumption of innocense, but does not believe in the other part, freedom of speech and freedom of the press?  Come on, Mr. Mason.  It obviously did not have any impact whatsoever on the results in this case, as they exonerated your client.

And to top it off, Casey Anthony has received an offer from Vivid Entertainment to do some porno movies.  Great idea.  Maybe she can pay back the State of Florida for financing the search for her daughter who she knew was dead, who paid for most of her defense, who paid for all the expenses of the trial and housing and feeding and entertaining the sequestered jury, and now will probably have to pay for her protection, ironically by the same law enforcement personnel she lied to as they searched for her dead child.

Casey Anthony found not guilty

The question looms – who wrapped Caylee in a blanket, put duct tape on her mouth and placed her in two plastic bags, one cloth laundry bag ,and threw her in the woods to rot and have animals chew on her bones?

This question needs to be answered.

I think Casey will be sentenced to time served and walk out on Thursday.  George and Cindy are probably terrified she will come home.  And she may, but if she doesn’t want to, Jose will take care of her until they can cash in on the story.  She will be free to go about her life, make up more lies, and have more children.

Just heard Ashton is retiring.

Jury’s out in Casey Anthony trial

Now that the jury is out I’ll give my theory of the case.  It could be more imagination than anything else, but it makes every bit as much sense as the accidental drowning scenario advanced by the defense.

As far as I’m concerned what we know for sure is not much.

One – We know Caylee Anthony is indeed deceased.

Two – And we know for sure that her mother, Casey, is a liar.  Not only a liar, but living in a fantasy world among a host of people who do not exist.

Three – I am convinced it was a murder.  Whoever put that duct tape on her face did not intend to take it off.

I don’t believe I have ever known anyone like Casey Anthony.  And I am surprised there was not a sanity issue presented.  Maybe it was not to the point of not knowing right from wrong, but it is definitely not normal behavior and I can’t believe that the people who lived with and around her did not know there was something wrong.

When Cindy made the statement on the witness stand that she had no reason not to believe what Casey told her when she was relating all the crazy reasons she was giving her as to where Caylee was, I don’t believe it.  I don’t believe that Cindy never had clues or misgivings that something was wrong with Casey, as in where she was and what she was doing for two solid years she was supposed to be working and did not have a job, let alone probably all her life.

George gave a vague reference in his suicide letter that he had been wondering for at least a year about something being amiss, but was told not to be negative.  Well, being negative and refusing to face reality could be pretty much the same thing.

Anyway, we know Caylee is dead and we know Casey is a liar.

Beyond that, I waited for the state to prove to me Casey killed Caylee.  It never happened.

The defense’s crazy accidental drowing theory is really an insult, and requires suspension of all common sense.  It defies all reason to say a person would put duct tape on the face of a dead child, not call 911, let alone throw her in the woods in three bags without a proper burial.  A person covers up a murder by claiming an accident but never would one cover up an accident with a murder.  George may be a lot of things, but he is nowhere near that callous.  It was irritating when Jose Baez shouted about George being the villian in this.  And you have to believe he was echoing what his client had told him.  Another big Casey lie.

I think it is possible that there is an element of truth in Casey’s story that Caylee was kidnapped.  What was Casey doing for two years she was supposed to be working?  Where was Caylee during all this time?  Maybe she was negligent, which I think she was a terrible mother, and left her here and there to get her out of the way and really did not know or care who she left her with.  Maybe one of these times, she goes back and she can’t find Caylee or the person she left her with.  So somehow Caylee fell into the hands of someone who harmed her.  We don’t know if she was sexually assaulted because the body was skeletonized and had been dead too long to do any such testing.

I will always contend that the duct tape is the elephant in the room and the part that does not fit.  The duct tape does not fit.  Duct tape is found on bodies placed there by men, usually as part of a sexual assault.  Probably hundreds and hundreds of examples can be found.  I just don’t accept Casey placing duct tape on Caylee’s face.

Maybe this person who took her deposited her in the woods near the house in order to throw suspicion onto someone in the Anthony house.  I was not able to see the pictures clearly that depicted the place where the body was found, so I can’t say how long I think it was there before found.

The state’s case connected the body to the Anthony house – in a way.

I didn’t think the dogs sitting down in the back yard was very impressive.  Maybe they were just tired or maybe they picked up a smell of all the animals that were buried in that yard.

The shovel?  I don’t see that as meaning much of anything.  Would she be trying to bury a partially decomposed body?  I don’t think so.

The computer search?  Pretty much discredited.

The chloroform?  Not convincing.  Besides Cindy said she searched for the chloroform.  Don’t believe her but then if you do believe her, she has implicated herself.

The blanket and the clothes?  They would have been with Caylee and wherever she left her, that’s where those items would be.

The tape?  I am confused on the tape.  If it is the same tape on Caylee’s mouth, on the gas can, and used to hold the missing signs, then this does not fit in my scenario.

The smell?  Do we really convict somebody of a smell?  I think that is weak evidence.

The tatoo and the partying?  That implies Casey did not have a connection with her daughter, but even under the “accidental drowning” theory, her own story, she was acting as if nothing happened.

And the heart shaped sticker that Nancy Grace opens every show with, and has for three years, and to this day it runs at the beginning of her program?  This turned out to be almost dishonest on the part of the state even mentioning this.  It was not a sticker, but residue from what looked like a sticker in the shape of a heart the size of a dime, a residue that had disappeared before a photo could be made of it.  Ridiculous.  They kept showing a heart sticker glued to a piece of cardboard, but it looked pretty large, did not match any stickers found in the Anthony home, and was found 30 feet away from the body.  I would bet stickers would be found in any home with a three year old girl, but they couldn’t even find a match to the heart they found 30 feet away.  All the while this has been going on, it has been represented that there was a heart sticker found on the duct tape placed directly over the child’s mouth.  That just is not true.

There are definitely some holes in my story, as why did Casey not tell the truth about what happened, if, in fact, she left Caylee with someone she did not know and they took her.  I don’t know, but there are many questions and many holes in every scenario I have heard.  There are holes in the state’s case.  There are holes in the defense’s explanation.

What will the verdict be?  I do believe she will be found guilty – at the least of manslaughter.

P.S.:  Jeanne Casaras just described a tender moment between Jose and Casey where he was on his knee to get down to her level and she carressed his face.  Is he in love with Casey?

And Linda Kenney Baden?  Can’t stand her.  She says she used to be on the defense team and I believe she is still on the defense team.
