Remembering the Tucson Massacre

Legal Insurrection has a great post in memory of the victims and the anniversary of the Arizona Massacre.  He has posted several videos, including the 911 calls, and a 60 minutes documentary on the shooting.

For me, I will never forget the speed with which the corrupt and biased media began their vicious attacks on Sarah Palin and talk radio as somehow causing the actions of one madman, who it later proved out had, if anything, left wing political leanings and never at any time had anything at all to connect him with any conservative politics whatsoever.

I was watching as this false political narrative unfolded in the leftwing media with a speed that it almost had to be pre-planned somehow.

The whole thing culminated in the sickening political rally called a memorial service that was conducted in Tucson.

See previous post where an unnamed democrat said in the Politico that “it should be pinned on the tea party” and how Sean Penn of the obama administration had said earlier that obama needed “an Oklahoma City moment” to “reconnect with the people.”  https://bellalu0.wordpress.com/2011/01/11/is-arizona-massacre-obamas-oklahoma-city-moment/

“Memorial” service previous post:  https://bellalu0.wordpress.com/2011/01/13/memorial-service-or-political-rally/

A lot of the footage of the media coverages has been scrubbed from the internet, evidence that they knew what they were doing.

In fact, the scrubbing of the internet began almost immediately, but a few screen shots remain due to the swift action of some who saw it coming, that proves it was the left that had actually targeted Gabrielle Giffords for political destruction, and by name up close and personal, because even though she is a democrat was not liberal enough for them.  (They are always doing what they accuse others of).

See previous post:  https://bellalu0.wordpress.com/2011/01/10/finger-pointing-rampant-in-aftermath-of-arizona-shooting/

Professor Jacobson today writes as follows:

Also remembered will be the reaction from the left-blogosphere and mainstream media, which immediately and falsely attempted to connect Sarah Palin to the shootings.  My post that day, Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, included ongoing news updates and copies of Tweets by left-wing bloggers.

…..

By the next day, it was a full blown media frenzy claiming Loughner was “right-wing” and again connecting Palin to the shooting, as detailed in my post, Two Sicknesses On Display in Arizona.

The media was in full attack mode on Palin, demanding that she speak out sooner than she did, and then when she did speak out about the shootings, and used the term “blood libel,” it set off even more vigorous attacks on her.

Some on the right, such as David Frum, also used the shooting as an excuse to go after Palin.  Here are my posts on the “blood libel” issue:

I summed up my feelings in the post We Just Witnessed The Media’s Test Run To Re-Elect Barack Obama, which was read on air in full by Rush Limbaugh.

The attempt to politicize the shooting in many ways overwhelmed the memory of the victims.  And that was another tragedy.

Further investigation revealed the Loughner lived in a non-political paranoid delusional world, and to the extent he ever expressed political leanings, they were not “right-wing.”  Loughner eventually would be declared mentally incompetent to stand trial, and remains in psychiatric custody.

http://legalinsurrection.com/2012/01/remembering-giffords-shooting-and-the-reaction/

The whole thing is a case study in a media hit job, and in the end, the American people did not believe them. https://bellalu0.wordpress.com/2011/01/12/new-cbs-poll-most-americans-dont-believe-the-media-lies/

They tried hard though, they tried really hard.   Anybody who wants a good look at how the media, supposed to be a watchdog, is actually a left wing propoganda machine, just follow this one incident.  It goes far further than mere bias.

And it continues as is evidenced by the ABC debate last night.

How do you like that NEW TONE?

I am observing this with my mouth open.  We are seeing and hearing the entire democratic regime go off the rails.  But democrats are always emboldened because they know the liberal media will cover for them.  But not only cover for them, they participate with them as though they all got together and decided the word(s) they would use.

Quotes from News Commentators:  http://dailycaller.com/2011/08/03/hostage-metaphor-is-liberal-commentators-new-talking-point/

Quotes from Lawmakers:  http://dailycaller.com/2011/08/03/hostage-metaphor-is-liberal-commentators-new-talking-point/2/

It is bad enough when people who are not in government name call and attack those who disagree with their view of the world, but when democrat members of congress can’t quit saying hostage, hostage, hostage, not only in press conferences but actually on the floor of the Senate and House, it just shows their lack of respect and ignorance.  It also shows they have no tolerance for ideas other than their own.

Bigot:  A bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices, especially one exhibiting intolerance, and animosity toward those of differing beliefs.

And all because the American People sent to Washington some duly elected House and Senate members who can’t be bought and are not playing the Washington game, who will address the awful state of affairs our country is in.

It’s a little ironic that this is taking place around the time Gabby Gifford made her first appearance back in Washington after being shot in the head.  Even the president has been talking about republicans “holding a gun to the heads of Americans” only months after he lectured on the subject of civility in Tuscon.  And remember all that silliness about the republicans sitting with the democrats at the state of the union (which was designed solely for the purpose of the visual of a lot more republicans than demos in congress). https://bellalu0.wordpress.com/2011/01/15/sit-together-never/ and https://bellalu0.wordpress.com/2011/01/25/children-are-running-the-country/

If violent rhetoric actually causes violence, then there will be a massive amount of violence that comes from the way these democrats are speaking and reacting.

I really think this is coming across as disgusting to voters and there’s going be a great “clean out” in Washington come 2012 even greater than 2010.

America has got to get rid of these entrenched politicians like Chuck Schumer, Harry Reid, and Steny Hoyer, et al.

They are going to eat these words they are spewing.

Sheriff Dupnik back in the news: Tucson SWAT Team Shot Iraq War Vet 60 Times in his Own Home

Remember Sheriff Dupnik from the Gabrielle Giffords shooting?  I guess this is the new tone and civil conversation Dupnik was talking about.   Now Mr. Media Hog is reprimanding the media for questioning him.  I wonder if President Obama will hold a memorial/pep rally in the slain vet’s honor?  This happened on May 5th and it is just now surfacing.

A Tucson, Ariz., SWAT team defends shooting an Iraq War veteran 60 times during a drug raid, although it declines to say whether it found any drugs in the house and has had to retract its claim that the veteran shot first.

Jose Guerena, 26

And the Pima County sheriff [AKA Sheriff Clarence Dupnik] scolded the media for “questioning the legality” of the shooting.

At first the Pima County Sheriff’s Office said that Guerena fired first, but on Wednesday officials backtracked and said he had not. “The safety was on and he could not fire,” according to the sheriff’s statement.

Flashback – Democrat Sheriff Dupnik, the left wing’s lover,  who irresponsibly and wrongly blamed so-called vitriolic rhetoric of talk radio and the tea party for the Tuscon massacre. Will he make the rounds on the liberal media circuit for being in command of a swat team that shot and killed a man in his own home in front of his wife and children?  That’s very vitriolic in my book.

More hate speech — from media star Eric Fuller

Isn’t this just the sweetest most civil language you have ever heard?  Ah, the loving left…..

James Eric Fuller, 63, who was shot in the knee, had told The Post on Friday, the day before his arrest, that top Republican figures should be tortured — and their ears severed.

“There would be torture and then an ear necklace, with [Minnesota US Rep.] Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin’s ears toward the end, because they’re small, female ears, and then Limbaugh, Hannity and the biggest ears of all, Cheney’s, in the center,” Fuller said.

The same Eric Fuller who said “You’re dead” at the ABC Conversation Continues filming the next morning where he was arrested.

This was reported on the O’Reilly Factor tonight.  First I had heard of it.  Did the MSM loop it continuously?  Not on your life.  I think they buried it because this guy was their champion for a day, much like Sheriff Dupnik.

The heated rhetoric of the mainstream media blaming the tea party and others could have incited this guy to some serious violence.   As usual and as always, all the hate and violence comes from the left.  When they point fingers at the right, it is neurotic projection.

This Arizona shooting shows just how serious their condition is.

And just watch.  Just watch the left defend him.

The left now has a name and a face

The Loughner Left

Do you know what the editors of the New York Times look like?  Would you recognize them if you saw them?

We all know what leftie talking heads on television look like, such as Chrissie Mathews, Keith Olbermann, Katie Couric, et al.  But how about Markos Moulitsas of the Daily Kos website, the bloggers of the Democratic Underground, or the writers of the New York Daily News?

Now we know what they all look like.  Even the talking heads, now we know what they really look like.  From this moment on, this is the face they all have, the face that will appear in our mind’s eye picture of them whenever we read what they write or hear what they say.  This face:

loughner_left_face.jpg

is the Face of the Left, the Loughner Left.

See the rest here.

There really is no longer any doubt that the left will stop at nothing. There is no depths to which they will not sink. The line is clearly drawn. How can there be any “unity?”

There can be no false unity. No silly sitting together. No useless dialogue. We have to fight and fight hard, because they hate our guts. They want to destroy us. And I’m not lying down for it.

I just have a slight variation for their title: I’m calling them the Lyin’ Loughner Left. That has a nice ring to it.

New media darling, Eric Fuller, arrested for making death threats against republican and tea party person

More information:  http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=41204

And here:   http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/16/us/16fuller.html

Good Grief.  If somebody does not stop this left wing hatred…..

Sheriff Duprik to the rescue?

Yesterday, this Eric Fuller had become another media star, blaming Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, and Sharron Angle for the Tucson shooting.  This morning he is arrested for making death threats at a so-called town meeting held by Christiane Amanpour, ABC News.  Fuller is threatening a republican participant, and a tea party person.  He held up a picture of one of them after writing “You’re Dead” on it.  He is a survivor of the massacre, though with minor wounds.  What a way to show your thankfulness for escaping death.

This is supposed to air tomorrow morning, I think, on ABC.  Do you think they will CUT this part?  They might leave it in if they can figure out a way to make it look like he is a Tea Party person.

Here’s the report:

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) -The meeting room at St. Odilia’s Catholic Church on the city’s northwest side was packed with local dignitaries, witnesses to the mass shooting Jan. 8, some of the witnesses to the shootings and the first responders to the scene for a taping of an ABC-TV special, a town hall event, at 11 a.m. Saturday. Host of the program, This Week, is Christiane Amanpour. The show will air at 7 a.m. Sunday on KGUN9-TV.

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head at close range last Saturday by a lone gunman. She survived. A total of six people were killed. Nineteen were shot.

Jared Loughner, 22, a former Pima Community College student, is the sole suspect in the shootings. He is in FBI custody.

Toward the end of the town hall meeting Saturday morning, one of the shooting victims, J. Eric Fuller, took exception to comments by two of the speakers: Ariz. state Rep. Terri Proud, a Dist. 26 Republican, and Tucson Tea Party spokesman Trent Humphries.

According to sheriff’s deputies at the scene, Fuller took a photo of Humphries and said, “You’re Dead.”

Deputies immediately escorted Fuller from the room.

Pima County Sheriff’s spokesman Jason Ogan said later Saturday that Fuller has been charged with threats and intimidation and he also will be charged with disorderly conduct.

Among the dignitaries at the town hall taping were Mayor Bob Walkup, U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva and former Congressman Jim Kolbe.

ABC News dubbed the town hall, “After the Tragedy:  An American Conversation Continued.”

A press release stated that the event will restart the conversation that Giffords began.  “Among those who will join the Town Hall: family members of victims, citizens who took heroic action and community leaders,” the press release stated.

A KGUN9 News crew was at the town hall. KGUN9 will air a report on KGUN9 News Saturday at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Saturday’s  10 p.m. newscast will be a one hour 9 On Your Side special report entitled, “One Week Later.”

Here’s an eye witness account:

Trent Humphries, the Pima County tea party leader, stood up to speak during the event. He was being very respectful. Trent told the audience that before we start placing blame on individuals we need to get all the facts. Trent then told everyone that one of those killed during the shooting was his neighbor and that he was affected like everyone else by the tragedy… While Trent was speaking- And it was planned that he would speak- One member in the audience and reportedly one of the victims of the tragedy started screaming, “Trent Humphries you’re dead!” The police immediately escorted him out. On his way out he screamed, “You’re all whores.”

New: Quinnipiac poll shows only 15% think heated rhetoric related to Arizona massacre

Almost a full week after Saturday’s shooting in Arizona, a new poll suggests that very few Americans associate the attempted assassination of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords to increased “heated political rhetoric,” despite an ongoing campaign to pin blame on conservative groups.

Just 15 percent of those surveyed in the national poll said they thought “rhetoric” was to blame for the shooting, according to a Quinnipiac University study released Friday.

“Americans seem to be rejecting the blame game for the Arizona shooting.”
