High level officials, including the president, gang up on Church (Update 2)

A handful of people in a small town in Florida has caused a showdown of international proportions.  Why has the media propelled this event to such gigantic proportions? What’s their motivation?

I thought from the beginning that burning the koran was an unnecessary action sure to cause trouble, and I am not for burning the koran.  I repeat I am not in favor of this burning of the koran. But I do think there is another side to this and other questions to ask. Take a look at this picture.  This is an illustration of the destructive and violent nature of the “religion of peace.”  Nothing has happened yet and they are already erupting in violence against the United States.  This is my flag and I am not burning the koran.  So who the hell do these people think they are?  They don’t give a damn if they offend me, now do they?

And, by the way, it is their responsibility as to how they react to this.  What if those opposed to the ground zero mosque had gone down and burned down the building or stomped on the koran in response to that?  Would we not blame those who did that and not those “inflaming passions by building the mosque?”  Yes, we would, and they would have to take responsibility for their actions.

So as all fingers point at the pastor of this little unknown, insignificant church that stands alone with 50 members, not even being affiliated with a larger denomination or organization, condemning them for what is their right to do under the constitution, we have the U. S. government in the highest levels of power coming down on them, including Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and others. Why are none of them speaking out against the violence against our flag and our country?  Where is our president and our secretary of state and our department of justice in defense of  America? Where is the ACLU in defense of freedom of speech?  Who is taking up for these 51 people and their “American values” of freedom?

Once again, as is always the case, when Obama mentions “American values” as he did in this instance and our tolerance, he did not stand up for the pastor’s right to freedom of speech and his religious freedom.  When Obama mentions “American values” he ALWAYS uses them to the benefit of other countries, illegals, muslims, terrorists, or anti-American activities.  Not ONE time has he said we as Americans have a right to protest a mosque at ground zero.  No, no, no, and is he concerned about “inflaming the passions” of those people who lost loved ones in the attack in Manhattan?  He is not.  In fact, he declared it was hallowed ground, and then, in effect, stated that he didn’t give a rat’s ass if it was.

So why the hell does our government not stand up for the ordinary rank and file citizens of this country and why do they allow our flag to be burned and stomped on without a single whimper?

“I just hope he understands that what he is proposing to do is completely contrary to our values as Americans, that this country has been built on the notions of religious freedom and religious tolerance,” Obama said.

What kind of statement is that?  We are talking about a church — religion.  If they want to set a fire and throw stuff into it, maybe that’s their belief.

I don’t believe our alleged president knows a thing about American citizens or American values and cares even less.

Burning Canceled.

Citing the safety of people across the world, the Rev. Terry Jones and Imam Muhammad Musri held a news conference this afternoon to discuss the cancellation of “International Burn a Koran Day” and a proposed mosque to be built on the site of the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Imam Musri made some comments similar to those which I would expect one to make who is seeking agreement and common ground, unlike the Imam Rauf

However, I would hope Mr. Jones is very careful on his trip to NYC on Saturday…..

UPDATE: Uh oh. Misunderstanding. It’s not canceled but suspended.

Muslim extremists showing some love to Christians in 2007.

Father Manuel Musallem, head of Gaza’s Latin church, told the AP that Muslims have ransacked, burned and looted a school and convent that are part of the Gaza Strip’s small Romany Catholic community. He told the AP that crosses were broken, damage was done to a statue of Jesus, and at the Rosary Sister School and nearby convent, prayer books were burned.

The American Flag at the DNC ~ Can You Find One?

Some have been playing a game called “Where’s The Flag?” trying to find an American flag as part of the theme of the Democratic National Convention.  They really searched.  They searched high and they searched low, outside, inside, and inside out.  Nope.  Nothing.

But as evidenced by the photo above, well, they finally found some.

There has been a lot said about the American flag when it comes to Mr. Obama.  There’s the discussion about the flag on his campaign plane (so small it has to magnified to be photographed),his reluctance to wear a flag pin or to place his hand over his heart during the national anthem, and I just posted a picture of William Ayers, Obama associate from Chicago, standing on the American flag.  See here:

The flag represents the government of the US and its policies; but it also represents the promise as yet unfulfilled of the Declaration, it represents our freedom of speech, our freedom to practice or not practice religion as we choose, it represents American values, it represents one nation in its glory, it represents hope for a better future, and importantly it represents the sacrifices made in all generations to protect our freedoms.
