ACORN organized fake “protests” at AIG homes

Okay, now I’m mad.  This has nothing to do with the “Tea Parties” that have been held across America.  NOTHING.  Notice who organized this protest on private citizens and their homes.  Believe me, The Working Families Party had nothing to do with the Tea Parties either.  40 people showed up for this orchestrated protest and the press showed up from all around the world.  More press than protesters.

“”Protesters organized by the Connecticut Working Families Party prepare to visit homes in Connecticut where AIG executives live, Saturday, March 21.””

Working Families Party was first organized in 1998 by a coalition of labor unions, ACORN and other community organizations, members of the now-inactive national New Party, and a variety of public interest groups.

“”A busload of activists representing working- and middle-class families paid visits Saturday to the lavish homes of American International Group executives to protest the tens of millions of dollars in bonuses awarded by the struggling insurance company after it received a massive federal bailout.

About 40 protesters – outnumbered by reporters and photographers from as far away as Germany – sought to urge AIG executives who received a portion of the $165 million in bonuses to do more to help families.””

The people who are supporting and participating in the Tea Party movement (me included) are protesting the President and the Congress for passing all these bailouts. I don’t believe we would EVER demonstrate in front of a citizen’s house or hold a “bus tour.”  This is ACORN style stuff and I should have caught it immediately.

But just watch how the press and the MSM mix the two together and MISLEAD people.

capatilism-aig

I just wrote in my previous post how I was suspicious this was going to be used as a tool to push an Obama agenda and this is proof.  These people are protesting capitalism, the “evil” capitalism.

NOTICE:  It is Capitalism we are trying to SAVE!!!!

Senator Obama got his AIG bonus, and so did Chris Dodd

Senator Barack Obama received a $101,332+ bonus from American International Group (AIG) in the form of political contributions according to Opensecrets.org.  The two biggest Congressional recipients of bonuses from the A.I.G. are – Senator Chris Dodd and Senator Barack Obama.

Redstate.com.

Is there any wonder they wanted to see AIG get their bonuses?  Bob Shrum, democratic blubbermouth,  is trying to cover for Chris Dodd.  It’s going to take a very large cover.

And Maxine Waters?  She has a lot of nerve.  She says President Obama has some “explaining to do.”  Of course he does, but then so does Mz. Waters!!  Review, Preview – watch her here praising Franklin Raines and Fannie Mae, zero down payments, so forth.

These people have sold our country out.  The AIG bonuses are just the tippy, tip, tip of the iceberg.

Boy, oh, boy, we sure do have the foxes in the hen house.  The guilty parties are in charge of the “recovery.”

All together now…..O-Ba-Ma, O-Ba-Ma.

American Idol or Amateur Hour?

“I do think in Washington, it’s a little bit like ‘American Idol’ except that everybody is Simon Cowell.”  Thus Sayeth Barack Obama.

Poor baby.

And just “how cool is it to be on Air Force One” Mr. President?  Pretty cool I would imagine.  Sounds like a conversation a couple of seven year olds would have, not a conversation with the President of the United States.  And then he insults the handicapped.

See the video clip here.

It’s time for President Obama to get back to Washington, D. C. and find out what the hell is going on.  How many days has he actually spent in D. C. since he took office?  Not very many.  Why in the world is he on the campaign trail?  He even said so himself — he wanted to talk to “voters.”  That’s the way he sees the American citizens, just votes.  Now is the time for this administration to stop being like little children.  The ball is clearly in his court.  Don’t forget, the democrats are in charge.  Or are they?  I’m beginning to think nobody is keeping the store.

And Timothy Tax Cheat Geithner was the only  person on the planet who President Obama could find to be Secretary of Treasury?  And then he  does his “You’re doing a great job, Brownie” moment, only adding that poor lil Tim has a lot on his plate, give em a break line.

And then the democrats, after passing all these spending measures, now want to get up and act like they, too, don’t know how in the world it happened.  Taxing the bonuses 90 percent.  They give them the money and then try to punish them by taxation.  Good grief.  What a scam.

I guess they think people don’t know that they are just trying to cover themselves and pull the wool over the eyes of the “chattering class.”  Thus Sayeth Chuck Shumer – (now calling for AIG executives to actually give back the money, as if he didn’t know they were making it possible for them to get it in the first place.)  And it seems our great lawmakers sort of forgot about one tiny little detail — the Constitution.

And Carolyn Maloney *D* is on MSNBC right this minute blabbering about the, the, the, uh, cough, cough, defending their actions and now she’s defending Geithner.  She wants Volcker to “HELP” him.

And now Alex Witt, MSNBC, is trying to cover for Obama.

Oh, God, and President Obama is in Pheonix today.  Right.  This is like Bush flying over New Orleans.  Except that he had a good reason for not flying Air Force One into a disaster area.

Well, the democrats are in charge and they OWN this mess.

And some say Obama took responsibility for the AIG bonuses, but he did not. He is acting like it all happened behind his back, when they were all in charge of the whole thing. Or maybe he was out for a smoke when that all went down.

So the contracts were written a while ago.  That just makes the  case for them not getting the bonuses/retention payments.  But instead Chris Dodd, at the request of the administration, asked they be exempted.  The contracts were written at a time when, I suppose, the companies were profitable.

Oh, yeah, it is American Idol and Amateur Hour all rolled into one sorry ass show.

Not everybody in the USA is hurting (Repost)

American People — Get ready for heavy lifting and sacrifices “for the greater good.”

Meanwhile — some recent real estate transactions.  I’m glad to see the Wall Street bailout was successful.  See more at Luxist:

–Lehman’s former head of mortgage banking, Kurt A. Locher, recently spent $5.25 million on a West End Avenue apartment.

–Ex-AIG executive vice president Robert M. Sandler spent $3.45 million at the Hampshire House the day after the F.B.I. announced its investigation into his old firm’s collapse.

–Rosemary T. Berkery, the former vice chairman, general counsel and senior vice president at Merrill Lynch, has bought a $5.2 million apartment at 975 Park Avenue. She and her husband, attorney Robert Hausen, already have a co-op five floors down in the building.

–Jeff Zavattero, a Bear Stearns senior managing director recently sold his apartment at 530 East 76th St. for $4.2 million for his apartment.

–A former Lehman Brothers vice chairman Kunho Cho sold his One Beacon Court condo for $10 million. Mr. Cho and his wife, Tay, paid only $5.975 million when they bought the apartment in June 2005.

-Leo Tilman, Bear Stearns’ chief institutional strategist before starting up his own firm, has paid $3.5 million for a condo at Tribeca’s 101 Warren Street.

–50 Cent has dropped the price of his 19-bedroom, 51,000-square-foot Farmington, Connecticut mansion by $4 million. The home, Mike Tyson’s former home, was listed at $18.5 million when it was our estate of the day in 2007.

It’s hard out here…..:
