Joe Biden says Obama made boldest move in modern history in killing Osama

Vice President Biden praises and praises the Commander in Chief and says that the…..
…..2012 campaign will be about “strength and leadership,” and declared that the killing of Osama bin Laden had caused the American people to take a “second look” at the Obama administration. “We have a leader with a backbone like a ramrod
And he goes on to say that killing Osama was the boldest, yes, the boldest single event a president has undertaken in modern history.

Oh, yes, a backbone like a ramrod, big and bad and bold Obama decided to give the order for the Navy Seals to take out bin Laden.  Wow.  Was it that hard to decide?  He made a decision that any other president would have made in the same circumstance, and they probably would not have taken months to decide it.

What is surprising about it is that Obama could bring himself to actually make the call.  He just doesn’t seem like a guy with a backbone like a ramrod to me.

I’m going to be sick

I could not stomach that speech.  Had to go outside and get some fresh air.

Looks like Joe Biden had to shut it out.  The boy behind him is knocked out, too.  🙂

Time to stop blaming Bush, maybe we could get him back

This administration has from day one done nothing but cast blame on George Bush and the Bush Administration for any and everything that is going wrong.

Now even as late as yesterday, one full year into the Obama Administration, President Obama comes out and says there is a failure in the system “that has been in place now for years.”  He should have already changed it then.  He also said, “the information was not effectively dissiminated in order to get him on a no fly list.”  Well, I do believe Bush is in Texas, long since having returned to civilian life, so I don’t think he had anything to do with that.

Bush is like the phantom “Marsha” who comes in and messes up everything overnight.

Of course, Janet came out and said the “system worked” and we should be proud, but as soon as it became clear that many warnings were ignored, dots were not connected, balls were dropped, the system suddenly became somebody elses fault.   But I have to say that if he keeps working at it, he may become more and more like George Bush, which could only be a massive improvement.

When planes hit the buildings on 9/11 nobody had even conceived in their wildest imagination that this could happen, but now that we know how intent on killing us these people are, there is no excuse for the lax treatment of the issue this administration is giving it.

And even after the Ft. Hood massacre, Obama says we don’t want to jump to conclusions.  Jump to conclusions?  How much does it take for him to recognize reality.

It’s time Barack Obama stopped acting like a child saying “he did it first, it’s all his fault,” the type manipulation any decent parent would not allow their children to engage in.  But then maybe that’s all he’s got.

He’s had plenty of time to change anything he thought was wrong with the system, but in fact the only change he has made is to weaken not strengthen defenses George Bush had in place.  And even the best of systems require use of the system, adding information and up-dating it daily.  He is trying to release terrorists, not stop them.  He is still calling it a “lone extremist” and I am sure we are the laughing stock of al Qaida.  And he wants to bring terrorists to New York City to try them as common criminals, giving them constitutional rights that should be for U. S. citizens, not the enemies of our country and our constitution.

And what do we do?  The first thing done is this panty bomber gets assigned a lawyer who shuts him up.  So instead of trying to get him to talk and tell us if there are other planes in the sky ready to blow up, or trying to thwart any other plans in progress, we start giving him pain medication and planning his skin grafts.

Obama has been all over the world bowing and kowtowing to kings and princes instead of taking care of his number one responsibility, the safety of the American people. But then he considers about half of us to be bigger enemies than the terrorists.  Got to watch all these ex-military and tea party protesters, they may become radical or something.

And he can’t even be bothered to come off the golf course, just as he thought it was more important to give a “shout out” before he addressed the Ft. Hood killings, treating it almost as an afterthought.  No hearings on that yet.

And he still has about four more days in Hawaii.  And to top that off, the vice president is also off shore in the Virgin Islands.  You would almost think they are getting off the mainland in case the whole thing blows up.

How does it make you feel to know that the president and the vice president have both left the land mass known as the United States of America and are on tropical islands somewhere during what could be an attack or threat to the country?  Doesn’t make me feel too safe.  I would say it doesn’t matter, they can just stay where they are forever, but then that would mean that Nancy Pelosi would be in charge.  Think about it.  Our lives are in the hands of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and in the alternative, Nancy Pelosi.

God help us.  Could we just get a recount?  Maybe we could get lucky and John McCain won after all.

UPDATE: Believe it or not, Nancy Pelosi is also in Hawaii.. Can’t make it up.

The Pelosi pop-up at State of the Union (Video) Funny (Repost)

Some Weekend humor.  These days nothing much seems to be very funny.

Nancy, she’s been jumping up and down again.  She may have spotted a swastika.  Horrors.  🙂

See just a few photos of swastikas being used in the past few years. I wonder if she happened to catch a glimpse of these right in the San Francisco Bay area?!?

***

But back to a happier time:  Nancy Pelosi jumping up and down at Obama’s State of the Union address.  Now Joe is thinking “Oh, God.  Will you just stay put?!” 🙂

I’m with Hillary.  I am SICK AND TIRED of people saying it is unpatriotic to disagree!!  You go, Hillary.

Congress Gives Themselves a RAISE

Congress Awards Themselves a Raise

I cannot believe this, I really can’t.  What an arrogant bunch of thieves.  They are THIEVES.  And they should resolve to take NO money during 2009.  They should have to give back every dime they got for 2008.  They are incompetent!  I am to the point that I wish each and every one of them would be removed and we could just start over.  This is just an OUTRAGE.

scream2

If I had $4,700, I could pay off all my bills and have some left over.  And they each receive over $174,000 per year already.  I think Hillary Clinton, John McCain, and Barack Obama kept getting paid and they haven’t darkened the doors for two years probably.  I read that Hillary is right now receiving her salary, and Rahm Emanuel has not resigned either.  Obama resigned but who knows, he may be receiving a salary right now as well.  He resigned, but I am sure it was only because they wanted to get someone appointed in his place before Christmas.  And Joe Biden, I forgot about him.

I don’t care if it didn’t take a specific act, just makes it worse.  They should specifically turn it down.

“As lawmakers make a big show of forcing auto executives to accept just $1 a year in salary, they are quietly raiding the vault for their own personal gain,” said Daniel O’Connell, chairman of The Senior Citizens League (TSCL), a non-partisan group. “This money would be much better spent helping the millions of seniors who are living below the poverty line and struggling to keep their heat on this winter.”

I’ll have to say that at least Rod Blagojevich put it right out front — he wanted money.  Is everybody dishonest?  Is everybody greedy?  Have they no shame?  I hope Blago does not resign and takes it to trial.  Let it all come out.

MSNBC Hoaxed By “Source” of Palin Post-Campaign Gossip

NEW YORK (AP) – MSNBC was the victim of a hoax when it reported that an adviser to John McCain had identified himself as the source of an embarrassing story about former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, the network said Wednesday.

David Shuster, an anchor for the cable news network, said on air Monday that Martin Eisenstadt, a McCain policy adviser, had come forth and identified himself as the source of a Fox News Channel story saying Palin had mistakenly believed Africa was a country instead of a continent.

Martin Eisenstadt doesn’t exist.  He is a hoax.

They were so thrilled to repeat a negative story on Sarah Palin, that they didn’t care, they didn’t vet the source.  MSNBC has been the long arm of the Obama campaign for the entire election season so they are more than happy to report this stuff as hard news.  Once you lose your objectivity and go all out for one candidate, it is not much of a stretch to accept any story or any source out there.

But this piece goes on to say:

The hoax was limited to the identity of the source in the story about Palin—not the Fox News story itself. While Palin has denied that she mistook Africa for a country, the veracity of that report was not put in question by the revelation that [Martin] Eisenstadt is a phony.

Here they still want to cling to the chance it is true, even though Palin has denied it.

“Carly” Cameron of Fox News was, oh, so, a-twitter to report it to begin with, using an anonymous source.  Anonymous source?  This isn’t about some crime or felonious activity, it’s not Watergate, for goodness sake.   It was gossip in the beginning and it remains gossip.  But break it down, there were three points — three irrelevant points — something about Africa being a country, about not knowing the countries in NAFTA, and the clothes.  None of it matters and never has there been any proof she said anything of the sort.  Where is the proof?

There are well upwards of 60 or more recorded verbal gaffes that Mr. Obama made during the campaign.  And do we even want to get into Sarah Palin’s counterpart, Joe Biden, AKA the gaffe machine?  There could have been an entire program devoted to them because some are quite humorous.  Two that come to mind are Mr. Obama’s blunders about there being 57, maybe 58 states, and thinking Canada has a president.

This compilation of gaffes and blunders is my favorite, with the Chris Matthews bonus, but bear in mind this is only a few because there are many, many more than shown on this video :

So, give me a break.  CNN, MSNBC, and even FOX, because of this gossip reported by Carl Cameron,  have lost all credibility with me.  They all should really be ashamed of how they have let the people down during this election.

Seems Very Few People Make More Than $250,000 a Year

But is that something to celebrate about?

I’ve seen a few occasions lately where either Barack Obama or Joe Biden asks the crowd, in a mocking manner, how many of you make less than $250,000 a year.  And almost everybody’s hand goes up.  Or how many plumbers do you know who make over $250,000?  And everybody is laughing and applauding as if it is the biggest joke ever told.  What’s to be so proud of?

Something about that scene just really hits me the wrong way.  It’s not how many make more than $250,000 a year but how many would like to make that much.  That’s what Joe the Plumber was talking about.  Not that he made that much, but that he wanted to some day.  This is America.  Anything is possible.  And for asking a question, he got investigated.  And I have heard the argument that it was McCain’s fault for bringing him up without “vetting” him.  But just don’t go there.  Nobody has the right to investigate a private citizen like that.  He has plenty of grounds for a lawsuit and I hope he sues.  Maybe he’ll get his $250,000 or more after all.

And so what are we going to get from Mr. Obama for that negative distinction?  No tax increase?  A tax cut?  A government check?  Maybe, at most, $1000 a year.  I mean, how little are we willing to trade for the American dream and the American way of life?

I was extremely opposed to the bailout because I believe it was caused at its core by the forced lending of money to those who had no ability to pay it back.  There’s a lot of dishonestly going on there and I hate it.  But the answer to owning a home is having the opportunity to make more money so one can truly afford it.  I wish everybody made over $250,000 a year.  But how does it help a person to give them something they can’t afford and then come back a few years later and take it back?

In so many ways, Barack Obama just doesn’t seem to see America as I do.  I believe the least dependence a person has on the federal government, the better.  And why his choice of words in a recent speech, “the American people have been vindicated?”  What were we accused of?  Somehow when he speaks it seems he is referring to Americans as some great unwashed mass that he is not a part of.

And then I hear him complaining about the Constitution, the same Constitution he is supposed to Preserve, Protect, and Defend, the one that gives him and all of us our rights in this country.  And Joe Biden says, “the world is watching.”  That we will have an international crisis to test Obama’s mettle, he guarantees it.

If he is elected, there will be change, all right.  A lot more change than I want to see.  I don’t want “real and lasting change.”

Vote McCain/Palin.

(I’ve already voted for them, by the way – early voting.)

Oops, I just this minute heard him say the $250,000 is now down to under $200,000.
