Jeff Greenfield discusses death of bin Laden on Imus

Jeff Greenfield, CBS News just issued an unneccessary insult, saying he hopes “whack job birthers” don’t — I don’t know what he’s talking about really — make something from the death of Osama bin Laden.

What does the killing of bin Laden have to do with whack job birthers?  I’m not making the connection.

I am tired of the insults thrown around by Jeff Greenfield or others in the media.  It’s beginning to make me mad.  It is unbelieveably unprofessional for a serious news person to use a term like whack job, even though it was in a informal setting like Imus in the Morning.  I don’t even use it to describe people like Mr. Greenfield, (an obvious whack job 😉 ) not often anyway, and I am not a serious anything.

He said he does not work for CBS News any more by mutual agreement.  “They said don’t work for CBS any more and I said okay.”  Good line.  So I guess he’s an ex-CBS employee.

Just learned that they broke into The Apprentice last night to announce the death of bin Laden.  That could not have been a coincidence.  No way.

White House picks fight with FOX – Lou Dobbs leaving CNN?

But here is the question: Is Lou Dobbs going to FOX? Maybe so.

Buried in Brian Stelter’s story about the battle between Fox News and the Obama Administration is a little nugget: Last month, Lou Dobbs met with Roger Ailes.

Fox Business Network, which recently picked up firebrand Don Imus, is reportedly interested in Dobbs, whose controversial anti-immigration, anti-Administration stance has sat awkwardly with the rest of CNN’s programming of late.

Well, Roger Ailes also met with David Axelrod recently.  If this was to get FOX to back off, looks like it did not work.  That is unless Axelrod is joining FOX or Ailes is headed to the White House.  🙂

This administration is about the most juvenile bunch ever to hold the power of the federal government, making direct attacks from the White House against a news network.  They are worried about the one and only news organization not to kiss Obama’s feet while Americans are dying in Afghanistan.  Shameful.

Stay tuned to 77 WABC and wabcradio.com for information about when pledge lines will open and when auction site is up! Please help us to make a difference in the lives that need it most.

Participate in this event and help benefit these fine organizations…

The CJ Foundation for SIDS, recognized as the leading SIDS organization in the country.
The organization is dedicated to supporting the special needs of the SIDS community through funding SIDS research, support services and public awareness programs. Since its inception, it has provided millions of dollars to SIDS researchers, organizations, support programs and public education and awareness campaigns throughout the nation, making possible remarkable strides in its fight to eliminate SIDS.

Twenty-six years ago, 16 parents whose children were diagnosed with cancer, turned to one another for support. Their dream, once modest, became the Tomorrows Children’s Fund, dedicated to easing the pain and speeding the healing of children fighting cancer or a serious blood disorder. Tomorrows Children’s Fund provides emotional, social and financial assistance as treatment is received and every year over 1,000 children and families turn here for support. The vision has become a reality today – offering a future of hope for many and being committed to ensuring a cure for each child who enter the doors of Tomorrows Children at Hackensack University Medical Center.

Imus Ranch is an authentic working cattle ranch near Ribera, New Mexico and was conceived and designed with the sole purpose of providing the experience of the great American cowboy to children suffering from cancer or serious blood disorders, and children who’ve lost brothers and sisters to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. The objectives are to encourage in them a sense of achievement, responsibility and self-esteem, and to instill pride and restore their dignity as they become aware of just how much they are able to accomplish. Many have become convinced that because they are sick they are not normal. At Imus Ranch they quickly discover that they can do anything any other kid can do. Our experience has shown that when children suffering from these frightening illnesses are exposed to programs such as those offered by Imus Ranch it often actually contributes to their healing and recovery.

Imus puts his Westport, Conn. property up for sale

The 10,000-sq.-ft. white clapboard “Greco-Georgian” Revival mansion features 16 rooms including six bedrooms and six baths, with classic white-painted wooden interiors, a library, and multiple bay windows, the Wall St. Journal reports. The four acre property also has a two-bedroom guest house and a two-bedroom gatehouse with parking for six cars. The estate boasts 215 ft. of sandy beach frontage on Long Island Sound. Imus, 68, bought the property in 1997 for $4.6 million and finished building the house in 2000.

IMUS on Hannity tonight

Imus is going on Hannity (FOX News Channel) tonight to be interviewed.  Can hardly believe it. Imus doesn’t do interviews.  He did talk to Barbara Walters, I remember, but this is a very rare occasion and I won’t miss it.  Oh, and Cavuto but it was by remote and not a sit-down interview. Two nights, 14th and 15th.

See Imus Times.

And Here’s a little insight into the Imus family and all they do for good.  As to the “vegan lifestyle” I have always thought Imus would benefit by a little red meat, but what do I know?  🙂

Music greats – Delaney and Bonnie, Bekka Bramlett

I think Bekka Bramlett is a great singer; first heard her on Imus in the Morning with Sam Cook, that’s the great Sam Cook, Live and before 9:00 in the morning. That’s what I’m talkin’ about.

But little did I know until I started searching around…..no wonder she has so much talent when Bonnie and Delaney are her mom and dad.  Delaney passed away on December 28, 2008. RIP Delaney Bramlett and God bless you, Bekka.
