Woodward: President’s actions “a kind of madness”

“Under the Constitution, the president is commander-in-chief and employs the force. And so we now have the president going out because of this piece of paper and this agreement, I can’t do what I need to do to protect the country,” [Bob] Woodward said. “That’s a kind of madness that I haven’t seen in a long time.”

Respected journalist Bob Woodward has become an unlikely hero for the Republican Party lately, calling out President Obama on several manipulative tactics and half-truths spun by the left over the national debate on the sequester.

Woodward, a longtime columnist for the liberal Washington Post, appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe Wednesday to criticize President Obama’s handling of the sequester fight. He said that Obama has displayed a “kind of madness” in his decision to make military spending cuts as painful and draconian as possible.

Scarborough began by re-capping the war of words between Woodward and the Obama administration, with Woodward confirming that the White House conceded his assertion that the sequester originated with the Obama administration, reports Politico.

Then, Woodward talked about the sequester. “I think peoples’ heads are about to explode about all of this, you know, what the hell is going on here,” he said. “I’m not sure the White House understands exactly what happened in all of these negotiation at the end of 2011 with the sequester and the super committee, because they were really on the sidelines.”

Woodward also took Obama to task for his decision to announce that sequester cuts would prevent an American aircraft carrier to not deploy to the Persian Gulf.

“Can you imagine Ronald Reagan sitting there and saying ‘Oh, by the way, I can’t do this because of some budget document’?” Woodward mocked. “Or George W. Bush saying, ‘You know, I’m not going to invade Iraq because I can’t get the aircraft carriers I need.’ Or even Bill Clinton saying, ‘You know, I’m not going to attack Saddam Hussein’s intelligence headquarters,’ as he did when Clinton was president because of some budget document?”

Woodward went on to reveal what he sees as tricky rhetorical maneuvering from President Obama, which is not constitutionally founded.

“Under the Constitution, the president is commander-in-chief and employs the force. And so we now have the president going out because of this piece of paper and this agreement, I can’t do what I need to do to protect the country,” Woodward said. “That’s a kind of madness that I haven’t seen in a long time.”

Yes, our president is a madman.  He is now releasing illegals from jails across the country.  There is no length he won’t go to in punishing the American people.  Impeach!

President is sociopathic liar, now lying about sequestration

…..Obama himself earlier said: “The sequester is not something that I’ve proposed.” He said at the third presidential debate last fall, “It is something that Congress has proposed.”

The president of the United States is a serial liar.  Not only does he lie, but he continues to lie after being caught.  Usually even a criminal will confess when caught.  Casey Anthony finally admitted she was lying when there just wasn’t an office she could go to where she said she worked.

Not only did obama say it was not his idea during the third debate, but he came before the nation after his vacation and blamed the republicans and congress for all the “dire” circumstances that will result from cutting the equivalent of one cent on the dollar, and probably even less if you could break down a penny, from the projected spending of the federal government.  And he continues to rant on it.

Sociopath. The truth is not in him.

Excerpt from Market Watch:

President Barack Obama will be out of Washington on Tuesday, but reporting by the Washington Post’s Bob Woodward pinning responsibility for the so-called sequester on Obama’s White House will follow the president and keep the onus on the commander in chief to explain the pending cuts.

With three full days before the onset of $85 billion in automatic, across-the-board budget cuts, conservatives are rallying around a Feb. 22 op-ed by the legendary reporter that says: “the automatic spending cuts were initiated by the White House and were the brainchild of [former Obama chief of staff Jack] Lew and White House congressional relations chief Rob Nabors — probably the foremost experts on budget issues in the senior ranks of the federal government.”

This matters for a few reasons, the main one being that Obama himself earlier said: “The sequester is not something that I’ve proposed.” He said at the third presidential debate last fall, “It is something that Congress has proposed.”

It’s too bad Bob Woodward is old and has lost his edge or he would investigate Benghazi with the same vigor he investigated Watergate.
