How about a bipartisan bill to extend the Bush tax cuts?

You mean to tell me the dems are fine with letting the taxes increase on all taxpayers, if they don’t get their way, but are not fine with letting taxes remain the same on all taxpayers?

I woke up this morning thinking about the expiration of the Bush tax cuts.

As I undersstand it, the republicans think they should remain in effect with no one getting a tax increase.  And I think they are right. They should not get another dime!

But the democrats are obsessed with raising taxes for “millionnaires and billionnaires” or all those making more than $250,000 per year, or maybe it’s a million, who knows.   They have been washing our brains for quite a while now as to how this is absolutely fine, in fact, so “fair.”  The amount that would be collected would run the government maybe a week or so.  But nevermind that.

And if the republicans put forth a bill which extends the tax cuts, the democrats stand to block it and thereby cause taxes to go up on EVERYBODY.  This is their threat.

Then they will turn around and blame the republicans for raising taxes on those under $250,000.

Well, wait just a minute, not so fast.

You mean to tell me the dems are fine with letting the taxes increase on all tax payers, but are not fine with letting taxes remain the same on all tax payers?  And they think they will divert blame for that (with the help of their trusty media)?

I say NO they are not to get away with that.  I am sick of their mind games.  Why would the republicans and the public at large stand for this?

If the dems are willing to let all the tax cuts expire, then why would they not be willing to extend all the tax cuts?   I think it would be a nice bipartisan compromise for them to all sign onto a bill that will just leave things AS THEY ARE.

Republicans, please do not let them get you over a barrel with that threat that “it will be your fault for all the taxes going up.”  No, no, no, we know what they are trying to pull.  Stand your ground and make THEM have to answer for it.

Surely they are not foolish enough to allow all taxes to go up just to get their way.  Surely not.

Tea Party is Alive and Well, taking the fight from the street to the voting booth

In a speech that began and ended with a standing ovation, Texas candidate for U.S. Senate Ted Cruz took on Obama and the establishment in Washington before an enthusiastic audience at FreedomWorks‘ “FreePAC” event Thursday night at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Jerry Pearce taking the words right out of my mouth

Wise words from Jerry Pearce:.
I just read a piece by NBC news where they say that Mitt Romney is trailing Obama because of negative campaigning etc. First of all NBC is an Obama campaign network. You can’t and shouldn’t believe anything they say at anytime about this election. Secondly, it is a good thing I am not running against Obama. I would politically dismantle him from the tip of his head to the bottom of his feet. Romney’s staff is afraid of alienating voters if Romney comes on too strong about Obama. Well if I was Mitt Romney, my first question would be; do you want me to run this country or do you want the Communist Party to run this country? I would open up Obama like a can of cheap tuna. The people that will be supporting Obama are either dead or they don’t have enough workable grey matter between their ears to cover the leading edge of a single Frito. Someone needs to push Mitt Romney into a doctor’s office somewhere and get him a triple shot of testosterone. This isn’t politics; this is war! We are fighting for our very survival on this planet. The Obama campaign is causing Mitt Romney to chase red herrings and thereby bury his message in the leftist infiltrated main stream media. If Mitt Romney wants to win this coming election all he had to do is parachute into a Marine Corps encampment in the middle of Afghanistan and have lunch with the troops. That my friends would do it!

Shouts Allahu Akbar as he tries to grab Olympic flame from torch bearer

From Atlas Shrugs:

“Teenager shouts ‘Allahu Akbar’ as he tries to grab Olympic flame from  torch bearer’s hands as police bundle runner to safety,” from the Daily Mail, July 20 (thanks to David):

A 17-year-old shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ –  Arabic for ‘God is Great’ – as he unsuccessfully tried to grab the  Olympic torch during a stretch of the flame’s route through Maidstone  towards Redhill.

Broadcast  live on the BBC, the youth lunged from the crowd to try to take the  torch from the hands of its bearer Anna Skora, but was swiftly bundled  away by officers.

In one video posted to YouTube he can be seen waiting behind a car and as Ms Skora gets closer he lunges towards the torch.

Ms Skora was about to hand over  the torch to Graham White, a Surrey charity worker, when the teenager  burst out of the crowd and tried to grab it.

He managed to get through the line of police officers escorting the torch as it headed through the town.

One  of the officers at the back of the group swiftly grabbed hold of Ms  Skora and the torch, guiding them to the opposite side of the road.

Four or five of the other torch guards then bundled the man to the side of the road where he was then arrested.

Ms Skora managed to keep the torch  upright throughout the ordeal and she continued to smile as she  completed her stretch of the Olympic flame relay.

ABC CORRUPT AND AT IT AGAIN

Somebody asked: “What can we do in light of this tragic massacre in Colorado?  If we could silence all the talking heads who are now muddying facts or lying again and voicing idiotic “theories” of what happened and what should be done, and get them to allow at least a day or two to pass in respect and mourning, that would the most thoughtful and humane thing that can be done and because it is impossible that the once mainstream media could report anything responsibly.

In other words:  Just STFU!

“A leader of the Tea Party Patriots called on media outlets to “stop all  reckless and false reporting” after ABC News incorrectly linked one of its  Colorado activists to the Batman shooting massacre at an Aurora movie theater  early Friday morning.

“We call on ABC News to immediately stop all reckless and false reporting,  and we are putting all media outlets on notice that false political attacks on  the American people will no longer be tolerated,” said Jenny Beth Martin, the  national co-founder of Tea Party Patriots.

“We demand the media report responsibly,” Martin said, adding, “It is  irresponsible for any media outlet to suggest anyone was responsible for this  tragedy other than those involved.”

Brian Ross of ABC News on Friday wrongly suggested  that the shooting suspect – identified by authorities as 24-year-old James  Holmes — could be a tea party activist. Appearing on “Good Morning America,” Ross told host George Stephanopoulos that “there’s a Jim Holmes of Aurora,  Colo., page on the Colorado Tea Party site.”

Ross apparently was referencing this page on the website of the  Colorado Tea Party Patriots.

…..

Regina Thomson, the president of the Colorado Tea Party Patriots, said in a  statement, “The member of the Colorado Tea Party Patriots, Jim Holmes, age 52 is  not the same person who has been identified as the shooter.”

Hannity interviews George Zimmerman

Well, FOX just pulled an ABC/CNN editing job on the Zimmerman interview.

I think Zimmerman has been treated horribly by the media, but I’m not sure he did himself any favors last night.  Overall, he was flat and made some statements that are going to haunt him.  I’m wondering what’s with these attorneys allowing their clients to go on tv for interviews, as in this case and also in Sandusky.

I felt the following statements were going to be picked up for replay and they are cold:

Hannity: “Is there anything that you regret? Do you regret getting out of the  car to follow Trayon that night?”

Zimmerman:  No, sir.

Hannity asked. “Do you regret that you had a gun that night?”

“No, sir,” Zimmerman, 28, replied. “I feel that it was all God’s plan and not for me to second-guess it or judge it.”

(Cringe)  That is a stunning statement.

FOX just played this clip, but they cut it off just before the “I feel that it was all God’s plan…..”

I don’t know what he meant by that, because how could it have been “all God’s plan?”  But whatever he meant, he did say it and it should not have been edited out.  Misleading.  That does not accurately inform the person who did not watch the interview.

P. S.:  Well, now they are doing a segment discussing the “God’s plan” quote, but still the tape was edited to exclude it earlier this morning.
