Well, I should say they are playing games with “them that brung um” the voters who are responsible for the republicans being in control of the House.
Listen to Hugh Hewitt interview Jack Kingston, R-Ga, serving since 1993. He is using the old “unity” crap to try to shut up the freshmen congressmen and keep them in line. He (and the others like him) has been and is right now part of the problem.
Message: Mr. Kingston, this is not football, nor is it a game. The republicans should be standing firm to take that funding for Obamacare away that the democrats underhandedly put in, instead they are leaking and throwing out barbs at the 54 republicans who have the courage and integrity to do it now. What’s wrong with doing it now? No, he wants to put it off until some other time and if you listen to the end, you will find that he is not willing to commit to it even later. When asked what he was hearing at Town Hall meetings he has held, there is a very revealing pause. Then he goes into how he thinks “they just don’t understand.” Hewitt says, “we don’t believe you.” And we don’t.
Anyway – JACK KINGSTON – a name to remember.
Some of the things I have been reading recently coming from the republican establishment is, I think, coming from the same crowd (maybe led by Karl Rove) who set out to destroy O’Donnell and Angle and, of course, Palin. Is it women they don’t like? Just what is it they are trying to prove anyway? They have already picked out some limp and impotent candidate they want to run for president, and I think I know who it is. This cannot be tolerated.

When I typed “what’s wrong with doing it now” it made me think of this hymn. Sometimes it’s not a good idea to put things off.

Ira died in a car accident in 1965 and I just learned when I looked this up that Charlie died at his home on January 26, 2011 at the age of 83. RIP. We all go in the end.
