Federal workers unhappy with wage freeze

New York Daily News reports anger at federal employee salary freeze.

Irate federal workers in New York had a few choice words for President Obama‘s decision Monday to freeze their wages for the next two years.

“That’s why Obama’s ratings are below [ex-President George W.] Bush’s, and that’s hard to be unless you’re Osama Bin Laden,” said Rosemarie Clemmens of Manhattan.

We are talking Manhattan, liberal Obama-loving NYC..

What is infuriating about this is our out-of-touch, arrogant president proposes this only After tripling the deficit and spending millions, if not billions, on trips to Spain and trips to India and every place else on the planet, playing golf and partying during the rare times he is actually in D. C., and now he wants to dump on citizens whether they be federal workers or old people.  The only way this would be acceptable is if he and all members of congress would take $1.00 per year for two years.  Then they could say they were true “public servants” and Obama would have his ever-lovin’ shared sacrifice.  Only then.

Obama gets busted lip

Obama gets 12 stitches in his lip.  First commenter on Gateway Pundit says, “why did they stop there?”  I thought it was funny.

The White House says President Barack Obama has received 12 stitches in his lip after being hit during a pick up basketball game.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs says the president was inadvertently struck by someone’s elbow Friday.

The president received the stitches in the doctor’s office on the ground floor of the White House. Obama had traveled to Fort McNair with a group of family and friends for an early morning game of basketball.

Can’t help but remember Tiger Woods’ little accident last year on black Friday.  I wonder if there’s more to be revealed about this.  Nah.  But in this day of lies and spin,  nothing is to be believed, especially coming out of this white house.

This also made me think of Joy Bahar saying last year she thought black Friday was racist.  And she was serious.

Selling out for an 18-pound turkey

Charlie Rangel really has no shame.  He, and apparently a lot of his constituents, don’t think he has done anything wrong.

According to the New York Times, on Tuesday he was passing out turkeys to a lucky 120 holders of tickets at the Martin Luther King Political Club – after having his name chanted upon his arrival.  How they got the tickets I’m not sure.

He says:

“These people here are not the least bit concerned about anything but how they’re going to get their families together on Thanksgiving,” Mr. Rangel said. “It just seems to me that I have a moral obligation to take care of them — and then, when I get to Washington, take care of me.”

Take care of them?

Inside the political club, as photographers captured his forced smiles, Mr. Rangel loudly took charge, herding recipients toward the free groceries and whistling with two fingers to clear a path to the door. For about 20 minutes, he handed out 18-pound Butterballs — donated by the nearby Fairway supermarket, a club member said — and bags of fixings, accepting heartfelt thank-yous, handshakes and expressions of loyalty in return.

I think the most interesting detail is he is just passing out turkeys donated by a grocery store.  He did not buy the turkeys.  Yet he is herding and whistling and accepting all the thank yous and all the praise and chants.  Says a lot about him, as if his character, or lack thereof, is in question.  He makes about $175,000 a year salary plus benefits – and you could say he has availed himself of many “benefits.”  He could have bought the turkeys.  Then he may deserve some credit.  But passing them out at a photo op does not count.

And he was re-elected.

A famous person once said, “Leave them alone.  They are the blind leading the blind and they will both fall in the ditch.”

Yahoo has a headline that Bristol was “less than gracious” last night.  I wish they would quit lying.  I really do.  There’s no place to comment on it either, so it is just out there.  Does NBC own Yahoo?  I can’t understand the haters.  Had she won, they would have said she “stole” it.  She comes in third place, and she’s not “gracious.”  She can’t win for losing.  Mainstream Media = devil’s mouthpiece.

Here’s what Bristol wrote on her Facebook page.  Sounds very gracious to me.

Thank you all for your love, support, and encouragement! God has truly given me so much good out of this experience. Without God, Mark, my family, and of course you guys, none of this would have been possible!!!!

Congratulations, Bristol.  You have a lot of people standing by you.  It’s just the mouthy 20 percent that get the press.

Dagen McDowell and her sister, Megan

I really like Dagen McDowell, commentator on the Fox Business Network.  She fits right in on the Imus in the Morning Program.  Here’s just a little clip for those who may not watch.

Now, we have filling in for her at times, her sister, Megan, a character created by comedy genius, Rob Bartlett.

Megan has a Facebook page:

Somebody posted on Rob’s Facebook page:

“Rob, I think I found a pic of Megan at the 7/11. What I want to know is this her good or bad side?……….LOL”

Democrats push Clyburn aside for the white guy (Update)

There the democrats go again.  Racist hypocrites.  In recent history, Harry Reid stands at the Senate door to block Roland Burris from entering after he was appointed to hold Barack Obama’s seat until the election.

Now we have James Clyburn pushed aside by the white man (Steny Hoyer) who gets the real position and prestige and Clyburn is given an especially created token position with token office and token blackberry and token car with driver, and he actually accepts that treatment with a thank you, sir; thank you, ma’am.  You know it’s all about race because if this were two white men who wanted the same position, one would get it, one would not, and that would be the end of it.  Pretty disgusting, pretty sad.

And nothing new.  In fact,  it’s just another lie that the democrat party is all in for African Americans.  Quite the opposite is true.  Their bad treatment of blacks is historic.
