I guess you’ve heard that insurance costs are going up, not down. See Barack Obama promise to lower costs by $2500 per family per year — about 20 times
But on September 10th he said, aw shucks, we knew costs would go up.
“As a consequence of us getting 30 million additional people healthcare, at the margins that’s going to increase our costs — we knew that,” the president told reporters during a White House press conference.
“We didn’t think that we were going to cover 30 million people for free.”
Well, a lot of people didn’t believe you when you said it oh so many times.
AP confirms it:
“The costs that dictate employer-provided health insurance plans will climb more than 10 percent within the next 12 months, and financially pressured companies may pass more of this increase along to their workers through next year’s benefits plans, according to an Aon Consulting report.”
Anybody who still believes anything Obama says needs to have their head examined. For sure.
