Paladino vs Dicker – Go, Carl!

There are several videos of this scene, different lengths, different angles.  I decided on this one.  If you want to, you can go and see the others at You Tube.

The little bald-headed Dick was way up in Paladino’s personal space and I am glad – elated – to see somebody stand up to these bullies.  You notice he was the only reporter jumping in there pointing his finger and ranting.  This has something to do with Paladino’s daughter and his assertion that Cuomo had affairs while married.

And Please, Please don’t apologize.

I don’t care what “Andrea Mitchell” and media types say and certainly not what so-called experts in the republican party say.  Rememer – Paladino BEAT the republican choice in this race by about 73 percent.  Dicker should apologize for getting in spitting distance of Paladino’s face.  I thought Paladino was quite restrained myself.  A lot of men would have punched him out.

I really do love this man.

Here’s a short explanation of the encounter.

This is what I would like to know – when is Dicker going to ask Cuomo to deny he had any affairs?

On Thursday, Paladino’s people issued a statement challenging Dicker to ask Cuomo if he has ever had an extramarital affair. Dicker declined an on-camera interview with NEWS10.

Much more detailed account here.

A new earth?

Wow.  Maybe God has made a new planet.  I’m just sayin’.

Astronomers say they have for the first time spotted a planet beyond our own in what is sometimes called the Goldilocks zone for life: Not too hot, not too cold. Juuuust right.

Just like earth.

We want our country back! Yes we do!

Okay.  I heard someone say again today that he had NEVER heard  “Take our country back” until now as if the words were coined by Sarah Palin and the Tea Party movement, and coined especially as some code words from some “darker side” to heap persecution upon our poor Obama (you know, the same Obama who rode in on a white horse or more like a white unicorn with the complete support and assistance of media, with almost no experience and even less vetting,  with great ease and, yes, the support of the majority of the American people seeing as how he was elected.)

Well, I know I have heard those words before, so in just a few short minutes I came up with numerous times the words were used before Obama even came on the national scene.  There are many, many more, but the links below will provide a little perspective.  So as to quote the famous well-loved phrase, last heard from the mouth of MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell “you are not entitled to your own facts.” howard dean Arianna Huffington’

And my favorites below:

“My name is Maxine Waters.  You are the true patriots and you have come to take your country…..”

So, yes, we want our country back, we sure do.

Sean Bielat can defeat Barney Frank

Barney Frank’s republican opponent Sean Bielat is moving up in the polls.  -[Cheering.]  Wouldn’t it be sweet to see Barney Frank ousted?  Barney has called in Bill Clinton and is blaming – get this – Sean Hannity for his sinking popularity.   No, it’s nobody’s fault but his. [ ]

”These two entities — Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — are not facing any kind of financial crisis,” said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. [NYT 09.03]

See previous post

Meet Sean Bielat. He’s a former active duty Marine officer, and served 7 years in the Marine reserves with the rank of Major. He has an MA in public policy from Harvard. And he’s currently an IT consultant. From his Bio:

Sean, 34, and his wife are residents of Brookline, MA. They are members of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Brookline.

Remember, the Todd/Frank finance bill they just passed that was supposed to fix all problems did not even address Fannie and Freddie.  And now foreclosures are in a mess and likely will be frozen. About the only thing their bill did was give permission to raid the treasury without even going before congress.  And, of course, a whole new federal agency falsely passed off as “consumer protection legislation.”  Right.  They are coming to help us.   Credit card companies are doubling down now to get ahead of it and it gives the government a free hand to now track our financial records.  Think about it.  The federal government having our medical and financial records at their fingertips.

You can build, you can buy, any house your heart desires. Zero down financing,I am the banking queen…..

Friday night and your cash is low,I know a place where you can go/Get your house and use it,go ahead abuse it, you can do anything.Go out and have a fling,I am the banking queen, old and sweet, didn’t do a thing!Banking queen don’t complain or you’ll hear me scream Oh yeah….chorus

Told the bankers, Hey you guys! Make the loans or it’s your behind. My friends at Fanny sure need it, do it my way or beat it, while the stock’s crashing. That doesn’t mean a thing, I’m still the banking queen–no respect for a single thing. Banking queen don’t compwain or you’ll here me scream!

Fake Florida Tea Party scheme

I hate these little sneaky schemes.  Here’s one for the voters of Florida, especially those in District 8, (Alan Grayson’s Congressional seat).

This one is so slick I had a little trouble breaking it down, but I’ve checked it out and discovered which “Florida Tea Party” is for real and which one is fake –  and financially supported by Alan Grayson.

U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson’s campaign has paid nearly $20,000 to a corporation created by a Florida Tea Party candidate, with help from that party’s top consultant, lending support to Republicans’ claims that Grayson is funneling some of his $30-plus million fortune toward a party that is running a candidate against him in the general election.

[Some good detailed investigative reporting here]

FAKE ONE: – This one has a logo shaped like the State of Florida with a snake head at the top and tail at the bottom.  They have put up a candidate named Peg Dunmire, in District 8.   If you generally relate to the tea party movement, you might be tempted to vote for her to support the anti-incumbent wave of vote the bums out.  I know I would be, before I became aware of this deception.

REAL ONE:  The following link is to the website of the original grassroots tea party.  They have filed a lawsuit trying to stop the other one from co-opting the name in order to deceive people.

The real Florida Tea Party does not have a candidate in the race.  There is no tea party candidate per se.  Vote for the republican, Daniel Webster if you want to defeat ultra liberal Democrat Alan Grayson and get him out of Washington, D. C.

This whole thing makes my head hurt, but Grayson will lie and stoop to anything to get re-elected.  Don’t be fooled and let him win.
