“It’s not Armageddon” – Yet

In Iowa City on Thursday Obama:

Mocked opponents of the bill who said that its passage would be an “Armageddon”:

So after I signed the bill, I looked around to see if there any — (laughter) — asteroids falling or — (applause) — some cracks opening up in the Earth. (Laughter.) It turned out it was a nice day. (Laughter.) Birds were chirping. Folks were strolling down the Mall. People still have their doctors.

[…..]

What this reform does is build on the system of private health insurance that we already have. So does that mean that it’s going to solve every health care problem that we have? No. But it finally tells — oops, it looks like somebody may have fainted. That happens sometimes in the crowd. Just give him some space. If the medics can make sure to check on them, in the meantime just make sure that they’ve got some air. And if anybody has some water down there, that’d be great. They’ll be all right.

And, oops, 123 people will die today.  According to their own figures, over 179,000 people will die “from lack of insurance” in the four years before this law takes effect.  If you were able to follow the proceedings, you heard these figures cited on the House floor.

But I can almost picture him saying something like that to someone who needs medical care and who has not supported him.  “Just give him some air and a drink of water.  He’ll be all right.”

And what is going on with the swoonings?  The same thing happened in his visit to Pennsylvania on March 8th.

Someone made this comment:

“It was a heckler.
He was swarmed and hauled out yelling “Don’t You Dare,” while the clowns on the stage joked and laughed about it with each other and “The One.””

Flash back to the campaign trail.

It really does remind you of a Jim Jones type rally.  The staging and the lies have built a house of cards that will soon be coming down, just as soon as reality puffs on it a little bit.

They are both acting like Little Girls, and considering where they live and work NYC it’s a bit embarrassing to the rest of New Yorkers…hey Mike and Frank why don’t you try acting like you own a pair 🙂 In the words of the God Father “Act Like A Man”

    Ree,

Got their panties in a wad, as they say.

I think the whole thing is an orchestrated effort to just get that perception out there that the tea parties are “violent.” They just want to flood the search machines linking the words tea party with the most incendiary words imaginable……but it has a frenzied air to it, very desperate attempt, because there was nothing negative really happening so they have to manufacture it..

It is embarrassing for these highly educated so called journalists to be acting in this way, spreading lies like they are. But I think the problem they have is that this tea party group represents the bulk of the American people so they are smearing them, not some fringe group. I’ll bet a great majority of the people in this country have either been to one or more rallies or at the very least know somebody who has been.

SUE THEM. Do they get to just bald faced lie and publish it? I think they should at least attend a rally before they put out incendiary language and “inflame passions.” It is they who are fanning the flames.

I am trying to think of a way to link some positive words together and tag them in.

And dear God don’t let anybody say “reload” or “battleground state.” 🙂
I am so mad at myself for buying one of Lupica’s books as a gift to my grandson. I should take it back from him and return it. 🙂

The Republican Party making our point for us. A couple of weeks ago a Liberal wanted Obama to appoint more Supreme Court Justices to stack the highest court in the land with Liberal Judges…NO LEVEL PLAYING FIELD HERE FOLKS MOVE ALONG.

Hmmm have we hit rock bottom because if we have we can only move up from here.

Somehow everyone including Frank Rich has forgotten Kenneth Gladney’s beat down at a Town Hall Meeting last summer in St Louis…that’s not helpful to their it’s a racist thing narrative.

Bet you are sorry that at the very least you did’nt finish hi-school???

//Within 90 days, the law will provide immediate access to high-risk insurance plans for people who can’t get insurance because of a pre-existing medical problem, Harris said. These high-risk pools will be funded by $5 billion in federal grants.

Insurers will be required by September to begin providing health coverage to kids with pre-existing illnesses and allow parents to keep children younger than 26 on their plans as the clock has begun ticking on many of the law’s provisions

Indoor tanning salons will charge customers a 10 percent tax beginning today in just one of the changes Americans will see as a result of the U.S. health-care overhaul signed into law by President Barack Obama

    etc,etc,etc,etc,etc..

“Full protection for children would not come until 2014, said Kate Cyrul, a spokeswoman for the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, another panel that authored the legislation. That’s the same year when insurance companies could no longer deny coverage to any person on account of health problems.”
