Buried in an Obama tee shirt

Well, I never.

Obama:  “She didn’t have insurance. She couldn’t afford it, so she had put off having the kind of exams that she needed. And she had fought a tough battle for four years. All through the campaign she was fighting it, but finally she succumbed to it. And she insisted she’s going to be buried in an Obama t-shirt.”

The family said she was cremated while wearing the t-shirt, as she had requested.  And it turns out that she did have insurance, it was just high deductible.

She certainly had a right to be buried as she chose.

But as for President Obama, this is really scraping the bottom.  Does he have any respect for the dead woman?  No.  He is only using her death to promote himself and his beloved health insurance plan, (which in the long run would de-emphasize mammograms for anyone below the age of 50).

And the audience laughed.  They probably didn’t know what to do upon hearing this.

Just to get an idea of how outrageous it is for him to repeat this story, imagine for a minute this was George W. Bush and he got up and told a story about someone being buried in a Bush tee shirt.  Yeah.  Pretty crass, huh.
