Why Can’t Every Day Be Like Christmas by Elvis

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9)

Then the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2).

Jesus is the Reason for the Season.  Merry Christmas All.

Bella, that is a beautiful youtube and I don’t remember ever hearing that Elvis song before….very nice. I love your snow falling also!

Ree. I will check out that link with the 50’s music.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I certainly have and the older I get the more I just appreciate the basics–faith, family, love, and good health.

  3. I Hope You had a Wonderful Christmas Ginger.

I feel the same about Christmas, I feel myself looking for “more” more then shopping..cooking… mass mailing. Last year I found myself not really getting in the Christmas Spirit. What was missing? Community -good works. I started doing favors for my neighbors:) I know that isn’t a huge thing but I bet it relieved them of some of their nagging chore list.

My husband called me from Liberia yesterday, I wasn’t expecting him to so I really appreciated the call. He is there again till the first of Feb. I spoke to his cousin Javier, who would have been alone on Christmas if his cousin had not been sent back. God works in mysterious ways. We are really getting closer to our Spanish Kin because of them being stationed in the same place.

Happy Holidays, Ree and Ginger. Glad you had a good Christmas.

I had a good Christmas and have many, many things to be thankful for.

Just checking in with a post MERRY CHRISTMAS! Despite all the gloom & doom they want US all to embrace, I got into the Spirit of the Season by “adopting” a single mom with 3 kids living in a motel room………spent Christmas Eve shopping & wrapping & had a secret santa deliver the goods……….went to Mass & spent a quiet Christmas in reflection on how Blessed I truly am & gave Thanks to Him on most high, that I have a brain & know how to use it……will be having an Epithany party for friends, neighbors & interesting folks who are into an AWAKENING! I plan on spreading HOPE & JOY thru unknown charitable deeds thru the New Year & will work for candidates who will REPEAL unneeded, unnecessary & UNFUNDED mandates passed by the feds which compromise States rights……& then I need to squeeze in some Cripple Creek time! Love you IHO’s!

It is alleged that he is drunk. What do you think?

So glad you had a good Christmas, MsM. Do we dare hope for a better 2010?

Don’t worry about a thing: “The system worked.”

God, I sure hope no one acted stupidly.

well Bella, you know what I have stated previously (back in the day of Imus where we all met) about that word SYSTEM……………

& 2010 well, elections are coming now aren’t they? let’s HOPE we get some candidates who are statesmen, that with candor state the problems, (too much gvn’t, too many laws) & give US TRANSPARENT solutions, (REPEAL) not campaign slogans eh? I don’t think the giant is going back to sleep & those voters who believe slogans are TRUTH TO POWER stay home…………

“We will not rest until all responsible…..”

I guess “Tiger” will take care of things once he’s done playing golf.

    Sad state of affairs.

Who the hell is running this country?

“”With the Obamas away, the Bidens will also play. The second family departed on Monday for a family vacation in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the White House said in a statement. They will return on January 3rd, 2010.””

They were comparing Obama’s speeches last night on the radio and he always uses the “we will not sleep” and “nobody is questioning me/our”…. he wasn’t going to sleep until the stimulus passed, healthcare, cap & trade and now the terrorists. I feel bad for all the innocent people getting screwed at airports when all they need to do is some serious racial profiling. Our society is so pathetic, pussified political correctness. Let’s frisk babies, the elderly..punish all for the few.

I was watching MSNBC this morning for a few minutes and they had a segment on the perdictable way in which he handles a crisis – it takes about three or four different stories and three or four days for him to get it right.

Of course, we KNEW this before the election but at least it is beginning to break out a little bit in the media, which means it’s really bad.

Look at his speech yesterday – it’s still soft and something is bad wrong with his delivery – monotone, without any feelings whatsoever. I can’t believe we have put this incompetent in charge of our country.

Lots and lots of people are putting their lives at risk every time they get on a plane. And instead of getting tough, they say “let me see your hands now, stop moving around.” That just confirms that the terrorist is already on the airplane.

And Napolitano made a fool out of herself, but then she is probably just parroting what she is told to say. Which goes right back to Golfer in Chief.

They’ve got Abdul in a low security facility.

This just shows how stupid it is to consider these ENEMIES as common criminals with constituional rights.
