Getting “all wee wee’d up” over race

Maureen Dowd said she heard (from her own mind) Joe Wilson say, “boy.”  Of course, he did not say any such thing but guess who did call Obama boy.  None other than former president Carter.  And what has happened to Mr. Carter’s “bright new hope for America?”

See this from August of 2008:

JIM LEHRER: And do you think that — if it happens that he is elected, or even just being nominated, is — will send positive ripple effects throughout the country on the race issue?

JIMMY CARTER: Around the world. Around the world. And I think it already has sent a wave of approbation and admiration in many countries around the world, just knowing that this black boy who grew up with just a loving mother and grandparents — and that was about all he had to start with — does now have a chance to become the nominee of the Democratic Party for president.

But I don’t think there’s any doubt that there’s a spirit and a bright, new hope for America within this country and around the world. And if Obama is elected, which I think he is going to be, then I think that will be the transforming race for the end of racism, and prejudice, and hatred between races in this country.  (See for more info.)

His guy, in fact, was elected as president and now a year later the same country that elected him is a bunch of racists??  You would think as a senior statesman he would have more decorum and just plain common sense than to make such a claim as he made the other day.

I used to have a lot of respect for President Carter, not because he did a good job as president because he did not, but because I thought he was doing a good thing with Habitat for Humanities (which I have supported and contributed to).  Now, I am wondering if he doesn’t have any more houses he should get back to building.  Maybe that was all just a sham, too, for all I know.

Maybe the hatred and prejudice resides in his own heart.  I just remembered yesterday his Playboy interview about what is in his heart.  🙂

Any how, this race accusation has lost it’s power.  First of all because it’s not true.  I am proud of Michael Steele as head of the Republican party and I would vote for Alan Keyes for president in a heartbeat.  People like Maureen Dowd, Chris Matthews, and others who love to throw the race card around should think about that. (I am sure they would not go along with everything that Steele and Keyes brought forward.)

So they may just disagree with policies and because of that,  I am sure they would not like to be declared to be racists.  But then only the liberals do that sort of thing, if you will notice.  Could it be that “projection” thing again?

  1. Maureen Dowd hearing things – people haven’t said, there is medication for that.

Dowd is starting to sound like an old shrew.

Barack Obama surrenders to Russia on Missile Defense

Every single concern I had about Obama being elected is coming true in less than one year in office. Those of us who did our due diligence knew he was a far-left radical but hoped he would move to the center but that is not happening. It’s bad enough what he has been doing to us domestically but now he’s jeopardizing our security and power in the world. There is a real concern that a lot of the damage he’s inflicting cannot be corrected…I’m always telling my kids when they’re having a bad day to not worry, things always get better but I’m not so sure anymore. What kind of world will my sons be living in in 30 years?

Oh joy, Obama is holding yet another healthcare rally, this time at a college. Does the man ever work or just campaign?

I have lingering questions about where the campaign money given to Obama’s campaign really came from (they were never able to trace it)…hate to sound like a conspiracy nut but who is really running things? It’s hard to believe this guy nobody heard of a few years ago is our President, most powerful man in the world. And I wasn’t too concerned about the whole Birth Certificate saga but what’s the secret? Why not release it, as well as all his school records?

He’s speaking again. He’s got these college kids all psyched up. They don’t know he’s ruining their future.

Looks like Fox is not covering it.

I still think what he should be talking about is it is the time for all races to transcend RACE & come together as AMERICANS….that an overwhelming majority of Americans elected him to the ofc of President, & as the PRESIDENT he is imploring all citizens to stop the race baiting & that he serves all Americans……I think instead of calling out a punk at an awards show making a jackass out of himself, the President needs to call out those in the media defaming Congress more than the “you lie” to report the FACTS & leave their OPINIONS to the water cooler conversations…..& that the FACTS will bear the TRUTH & that the opines only add fuel to a potential fire……TRUTH TO POWER! & while he is at it, call for an investigation into ACORN & for an AUDIT OF THE FED….meanwhile he should be addressing “FREE TRADE” & instead of “bailing out ” AMERICAN companies he needs to level the playing field of import/export in the name of NAFTA/GATT

    Does He Lie?

    By Charles Krauthammer

You lie? No. Barack Obama doesn’t lie. He’s too subtle for that. He . . . well, you judge.

Herewith three examples within a single speech — the now-famous Obama-Wilson “you lie” address to Congress on health care — of Obama’s relationship with truth.

    (1) “I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits — either now or in the future,” he solemnly pledged. “I will not sign it if it adds one dime to the deficit, now or in the future. Period.”

Wonderful. The president seems serious, veto-ready, determined to hold the line. Until, notes Harvard economist Greg Mankiw, you get to Obama’s very next sentence: “And to prove that I’m serious, there will be a provision in this plan that requires us to come forward with more spending cuts if the savings we promised don’t materialize.”

This apparent strengthening of the pledge brilliantly and deceptively undermines it. What Obama suggests is that his plan will require mandatory spending cuts if the current rosy projections prove false. But there’s absolutely nothing automatic about such cuts. Every Congress is sovereign. Nothing enacted today will force a future Congress or a future president to make any cuts in any spending, mandatory or not.

Just look at the supposedly automatic Medicare cuts contained in the Sustainable Growth Rate formula enacted to constrain out-of-control Medicare spending. Every year since 2003, Congress has waived the cuts.

Mankiw puts the Obama bait-and-switch in plain language. “Translation: I promise to fix the problem. And if I do not fix the problem now, I will fix it later, or some future president will, after I am long gone. I promise he will. Absolutely, positively, I am committed to that future president fixing the problem. You can count on it. Would I lie to you?”

    Here’s the entire article..

Did anyone see Hannity last night? The environmental nutjobs are our one of our worst enemies and need to be stopped. I cannot believe they have cut off water to farms in California because of a smelt fish! No wonder I have not had a decent avacado all summer…all from Mexico these days.

  9. Mel

I told my husband last night this is what George W Bush was holding back think about it this is the Progressive agenda environmental waste lands. I can’t imagine there won’t be a huge backlash in California come 2010 and they finally get some representation. I was watching Hannity, and I bet a lot of those folks voted for Obama. I guess some people won’t believe you until they experience it for themselves. They were warned about Obama during the Democrat Primary and the General Campaign. Jefferson stated People get the Government they Deserve. Here’s hoping a bunch of Americans believe they deserve better in 2010 and 2012.

  10. Mel

It is insanity how the radical environmentalists have lost all common sense when animals or fish are more important than humans. It’s nuts! These are farms that provide like a third of our country’s produce! I do not want my produce from Mexico or anywhere else when we can buy American. It is going to get worse unless someone can convince Obama to do the right thing and block these kooks. Pelousy will never do it. I heard someone calling her that PelOUSY and I like that…she is a lousy louse! Someone last night likened it to terrorism and they were right. We’re under attack from the left-wing environmentalists!

Obama: Legalize illegals to get them health care… headline on Drudge.

What did I tell you – he is going to make sure the illegals take over the country, get everything they ever needed

  12. bellalu0

That’s it. Illegals are not going to get health care because they will all be legal.

  13. bellalu0

I think Nancy Pelosi is mental. She is blinded to the fact that her own words of calling people unAmerican and nazis are the words that are escalating the rhetoric. Plus Harry Reid calling people evil mongers. They are in need of help.

  14. bellalu0

Our own top lawmakers insulting the American people for not agreeing with them. It’s really insane.

  15. Mel

I cannot believe anyone would agree that 20 million illegals should all get amnesty! That would mean their families can come here too. These people will be put at the front of the lines because they’re minorities. Medicaid, SS, everything is already broke and they want to add all these people- WHY?! Is it really all about getting their votes? I just do not understand it and am getting angrier all the time. I think the country is going to go nuts if he pushes for amnesty.

  16. Mel

The worry is Pelousy is actually the one planning for violence – instigating something and blaming it on Conservatives.
