Lanny Davis urges “respect for other people’s opinions” Too Funny

After writing that: the  “shout downs” organized by the Republican right meet one of the classic definitions of “fascist” tactics–There is literally no defense to these tactics, says Lanny Davis.

(Note:  Do you really think the republicans could organize something this successful? That’s a laugh.)

Lanny Davis ‘splains his remarks in an email to Michelle Malkin, saying, in part:

“I believe that thoughtful and civil people on the left and the right share a desire for debate and have respect for other people’s opinions. This is fundamental to a civil society and our great democracy. In my post, I only wished to protest strongly those who believe it is acceptable to attend a meeting for the purpose of disrupting and preventing honest and vigorous debate.

I take the same position if it is people on the left side of the spectrum who use such tactics as those on the right side.”

Awww.  Suddenly we want to have “thoughtful and civil debate” and “respect for other people’s opinions?”  Anybody who has spent any time on the internet has found out pretty quickly that the Obama people are the least tolerant of all and there is absolutely no tolerance for “other people’s opinions.”

And President Obama has said that “community organizing” is the highest of callings.

What hypocrisy for their side to now call protests at the town hall meetings “angry mobs.”  Very funny.  Pretty “fishy,” too.

See below a group at Columbia University protesting the appearance of the Minutemen, border patrol volunteers.
