Republican Congressmen who voted “Yes” to Cap and Trade

It’s amazing just how hard it is to find out who voted how on this vote.  The MSM is saying it passed with “virtually no Republican support.”  “Virtually no” turns out to be 8.  (219 to 212)

Thanks to Michelle Malkin, here’s who the 8 Republican weasels are who did support it:

Introducing the GOP’s Cap-And-Tax 8…

Photoshop credit: Leo Alberti

The 8 cap-and-tax Republican turncoats again are:

Bono Mack (CA) (202) 225-5330
Castle (DE) (202) 225-4165
Kirk (IL) (202) 225-4385 (And he’s seriously considering running for Senate!)
Lance (NJ) (202) 225-5361
LoBiondo (NJ) (202) 225-6572
McHugh (NY) (202) 225-4611
Reichert (WA) (202) 225-7761
Smith (NJ) (202) 225-3765

Reminder: The two Republicans who didn’t vote: Jeff Flake (AZ) and John Sullivan (OK).

Here’s why: Flake had a “family conflict” (his daughter is reportedly in a beauty pageant in Alabama tomorrow) and Sullivan is undergoing alcohol treatment. As I noted earlier today, Dem. Rep. Patrick Kennedy was pulled out of rehab to cast his vote.

Thank you so much, Michelle, for this information.  I hope you don’t mind too much me copying you but I want to get this out and it is almost impossible to find. (Got the tip from your Twitter post).

See: Michelle Malkin.com for a list of the 44 democrats who voted against the bill.

Full roll call vote here.

Dave Reichert caved to the plastic bag rationing, tree hugging, Seattle uber-liberals. Thanks Dave, you ass hat. And to think I wasted a good vote on you. But, now I’ll vote for ANYONE running against you in 2010 you big sell-out.

I will be watching and monitoring all eight of the turncoat republicans who voted for cap and trade. I will do my best to get the word out to all my friends and family about these congressmen and congresswoman who obviously do not care about the working class people of what used to be a great country, but is currently following in the footsteps of many of the socialist and communist countries. My biggest fear is if this thing gets passed by the senate and all of our energy needs start costing us double, what kind of spin will the press put on this issue to divert the real blame for the rising and unaffordable cost which will burden an already depressed economy.

Interesting, Is anyone really surprised at the results?? Where were all of the folks out there that are soconcerned about cap and tax when the presidential election was taking place?? Gotta give the chief dip stick in charge a little credit, he is doing exactly what he said he would, raisw the cost of electricity, no offshore drilling and screw our coal producing companies all under the guise of “green energy”. We got what we deserve. Maybe now we will start paying attention to our local elected officials, senators and congressmen and hold theit asses to the fire on how they vote. My 2 cents, A P/O Texan.

On Thursday, Obama said that the cost to consumers from the bill “will be about the same as a postage stamp per day” over 10 years.

In January, 2008, he said “electricity rates will necessarily skyrocket.”

Sell outs all. We have no representation in Washington. It would have only taken one or two of these eight to defeat the thing.

Maybe the Senate will vote it down.

You know, when you see who the “turn-coats” are why would anyone be surprised? All sheep led by the master orator. All self indulgent and not doing the peoples, (who hire them) work. Obviously thinking their future depends on favors from the LEFT. I really hope they are surprised the next time they are asking to be rehired by those same people who just got the knife in their backs..

What is frustrating is that in reality one or two people are tipping the scale and passing these sweeping changes in national policy, but because they are not from my state, I can’t even vote against them. In many cases, they won’t even take an email from a person outside their state. My representative is voting the way I would want him to.

But we have here three from New Jersey, one from New York, one from Delaware, one from Illinois, one from Washington state, and one from California. Their vote is not surprising but they should just go the way of Specter and join the other party.

It feels a lot like taxation without representation.

Hopefully the Senate does not pass this.

These Congressmen/woman are an embarrassment to true Conservatives. They are wolves in sheeps’ clothing. I will call every one of their offices on Monday to voice my anger over their treasonous behavior. I tried calling them today, but was finding their voicemail boxes were full. Gee… I wonder why! I suppose they’ll be voting for government-run healthcare, too. Shame, shame, shame on every one of them for the deplorable way in which they just represented their Party.

bellaluo, Keep the faith, even though these turncoats are not from our particular district or state, there is a way to kick them out, stay on top of these names and locations, when they start campaigning for re election, whoever their opponent is, send them money, help with their message, send e mails, flyers, heck, get on the phone and contact voters. These politicians are only in the game for themselves, once they are voted out the message will get through eventually. VOTE< VOTE< VOTE!!! A P/O Texan

Are any of these traitors being opposed by “real” Republicans? Who have a chance to beat them in the primary, and hopefully in the general election. If there are any, please note so we may contribute to their coffers directly.

Well, I stronly agree that we need to keep after our Senators now and to remind them who they are working for. And hopefully THEY will listen to us ! I am absolutely outraged that ANY Republican congressman would have voted for this Crap and Trick bill ! We need to clean house ! I intend to pass this information along to as many people as I can, and to make some calls, as well. And what is wrong with our media? They should be reporting how the congressmen voted. WHAT in the world is wrong with our media ? We know that Michael Jackson is deceased now. WE Get IT! And, So why don’t they ease up on that story, and move on with other issues which are upsetting the futures of all Americans ! ??? And thanks to Michelle Malkin. Wish she had her own show ! She never seems to be afraid to report the truth !

Annie (Oakly) get your gun! You are right on target, no pun intended. The main stream media has an agenda and its not conservative. ABC< NBC< CBS have always been our sorce of liberal news. I am proud of the NATIONAL FOX network as they TRY to be unbiased in their reporting. It is disheartening to listen to the SEGMENTS of news that is broadcast which the networks (ABC/NBC/CBS)deem newsworthy. It is not in the realm of unbiased reporting any longer, its reporting anything that promotes their cause. Note, very few words were spoken by out national liberal media concerning the close vote in the house on the cap and tax bill, their resoning I assume is that it passed with little opposition so therefore it must be what the PEOPLE want. Beware and be cautious concerning the upcoming vote in the Senate. Most of what you hear is that the Cap and Tax Bill will die in the Senate, that is EXACTLY what the media and the current administration wants everyone to start believing, dont let up! We have to stay involved, make calls, send e mail and keep our voices loud and strong. Let these self serving scoundrels (politicians)know that we are paying attention, we are going to vote, we are going to make our voices be heard and will not settle for anything less. Hey, here is a new concept, how about EVERYONE in the HOUSE and Senate MUST read word for word every bill they are asked to sign into law????? Now that would be some legislation I could stand up for!!!!! My 2 cents

My Republican Congressman Says Cap and Trade is Good for America.

And, he caught the Green River Killer.

Did you catch the Green River Killer?

    No, no you didn’t.

You can hear his interview here.

    http://www.mynorthwest.com/?nid=194&sid=184941

Dave Reichert SPEAKS: says Cap and Trade will be good for America

He argued that the expense would not be what the Heartland Institute, Heritage Foundation, and Wall Street Journal were predicting. He argued that it would cost around $.48 per day and that we would have better national security, more nuclear, coal and refining capabilities, and a cleaner environment with the bill. He argued that the conservative arguments against were mistaken, and that Washington specifically would be better off even though the bill was imperfect.

And, he caught the Green River Killer.

Yeah, it took him a couple of decades, but better late than never.

I hear Fox was thinking about making the Series 24 about Reichert. But instead of showing 24 hours in a day they would have to make each episode a year.

I have said before that it is a shame that the only reason Weasel Reichert is even a congressman is because he cashed in on the death of others. Same with Weasel BONO.

He got credit for catching the Green River –

but he really didn’t “catch” the Green River killer, he thought it was the taxi driver, and they let Ridgeway slip through their hands and only arrested him in 2001 for 1980’s murders. They were even so close to Ridgeway as to search his house, and he was not “caught.”

“” On November 30, 2001, Ridgway was at Kenworth when police arrived to arrest him. Ridgway was arrested on suspicion of murder for four deaths, nearly 20 years after first being identified as a potential suspect. DNA evidence conclusively linked semen left in the victims to the saliva swab taken by the police.””

He wasted a lot of time and money flying to Florida to talk to Ted Bundy in Florida State Prison, which resulted in a big zero.

Hmmmmm? Cap and Tax will only cost the American tax payer the equivilent of a poatage stamp?? Boys and girls in Congress and the Senate, re read your history books, our great country went to war with the King over the STAMP TAX!!!! Followed by the Boston Tea Party!! We are way past due to educate ourselves, be directly involved in our politics and vote in every election, local, state and federal. We owe it to our country if we want to preserve our freedom.
