From Gateway Pundit:
The crowd at today’s (yesterday’s) GE shareholder’s meeting attacked CEO Jeff Immelt over the embarrassing and offensive programs on MSNBC.
“My biggest surprise was the open hostility to MSNBC,” said Tom Borelli of the Free Enterprise Action Fund and a four-year critic of Jeffrey Immelt. “It was noticeable and loud. I don’t remember any of this going on last year.”
“Any time MSNBC was mentioned, there was a rumbling in the crowd of 400 people,” he added. Borelli also asked a question pertaining to GE’s stock performance since Immelt took the helm.
A GE corporate spokesman on Thursday morning pointed out that there was no attempt to cut anyone off who had questions or comments to make.
One specific complaint about MSNBC concerned Keith Olbermann’s interview of actress Janeane Garofalo, who likened conservatives to racists and spoke of “the limbic brain inside a right-winger.” (Janeane Garofalo is an American stand-up comedienne, actress, political activist, writer, and former co-host on Air America Radio’s The Majority Report.)
“They were upset that Olbermann didn’t bother to challenge her,” one GE shareholder said.
One shareholder at the Orlando, Fla., meeting was Jesse Waters, a producer of “The O’Reilly Factor.” Waters asked a question at the meeting, then turned on the Fox News Channel cameras outside the venue and interviewed other shareholders who attended the meeting.
And who is this hateful Garofalo woman? I never heard of her before. She is obviously very mad about something. There was a time when she would have been called judgmental, because that’s what she is. It is so odd how she can make a blanket statement and judgment about others she does not know nor has never met. She is allowed, even encouraged, to make such statements and who is she? Who is the all-knowing woman who can read minds and see into hearts? A comedienne and an actress, not exactly anything that gives her any superior insight.
I say she is a bigot – straightup.
“”A bigot is a person who is intolerant of or takes offense to the opinions, lifestyles or identities differing from his or her own””
