Illinois democrat says we are “despicable” and “shameful.”  Seeing as how we are “right-wing activists and fueled by Fox.”  Oh, my, we are So Bad.  🙂  And to top that off we have “cheapened an honorable moment” in history.  🙂

What makes me think that if the Founding Fathers were alive today, they would all have been leading the way.

“”Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) blasted “tea party” protests yesterday, labeling the activities “despicable” and “shameful.”

“The ‘tea parties’ being held today by groups of right-wing activists, and fueled by FOX News Channel, are an effort to mislead the public about the Obama economic plan that cuts taxes for 95 percent of Americans and creates 3.5 million jobs,” Schakowsky said in a statement.

“It’s despicable that right-wing Republicans would attempt to cheapen a significant, honorable moment of American history with a shameful political stunt,” she added.””

She goes on to say that that they are “made to look like grassroots uprisings” but are in fact, she says, sponsored by “corporate interests, Republicans, lobbyists, and politicians.”

Huh?  This is a good example of the Lies that are being told.  Flat out lies.

Tax Day Protest in Ocala, Florida

Marion County residents converged on the downtown square from all directions Wednesday. Their signs were as different as their demographics: senior citizens stood next to young adults, housewives and businessmen on lunch break.

But the message spoken, and occasionally yelled, at the United States government during the Ocala Tea Party was the same: stop tax increases and outrageous spending.
