Who is Jim Cramer?

Leave Jim Cramer alone!

I don’t know him, don’t even watch his program, “Mad Money,” but I thought I remembered something in the back of my mind about his charity.  Now that he is under attack, I looked up some facts about his generosity and found that he is quite a giving guy.  Here’s just a couple quick examples:

**TheStreet.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: TSCM), a leading provider of financial commentary, analysis, research, news and ratings, today announced that James J. Cramer, co-founder, director and largest shareholder of TheStreet.com, made the final distribution of his trading profits of 2006 from his charitable trust on February 9, 2007.

The distribution for 2006 trading profits is $93,000, with the entire sum going to the Imus Ranch, a working cattle ranch, which benefits children who suffer from cancer and serious blood disorders or who have lost a sibling to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). “Helping sick children is important to me,” said Jim Cramer, last week in a letter to Action Alerts Plus subscribers. “I’ve been Wall Street chairman of the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital for about a decade — and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to give more. I’m proud of the Action Alerts PLUS service and proud of what we’re able to accomplish through it.” Mr. Cramer gave away $141,520 in trading profits in 2005 from the Action Alerts Plus service. The total was distributed to the Imus Ranch, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which gives aid to members of the country’s armed forces, and the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.

**NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–March 31, 2008–TheStreet.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: TSCM), a leading financial media company, today announced that for the third consecutive year James J. Cramer, co-founder and director of TheStreet.com, has distributed trading profits from his charitable trust.

Mr. Cramer manages his Action Alerts PLUS portfolio (www.actionalertsplus.com) as a charitable trust with the intention of distributing all realized gains to worthy charities. The Action Alerts PLUS service, which allows subscribers to track Mr. Cramer’s actual investments in individual stocks, is intended to act as an educational tool with a focus on making money that the charitable trust can distribute.

“The 2007 trading profits totaling $472,349 will be distributed to help several different organizations across the country, promoting education, healthcare, economic development, and children’s medical research,” said Mr. Cramer. “I am proud that the performance of the charitable trust this year has afforded me the opportunity to impact a diverse spectrum of worthwhile causes.”
