Casey Anthony’s one-armed man defense

From Orlando Sentinel:

Casey Anthony’s defense attorneys appeared this morning on NBC’s Today Show and compared their client with the lead character from the popular 1960s TV show, The Fugitive.

In that television show, actor David Janssen plays Dr. Richard Kimble. He blames a one-armed man for the murder of his wife, but no one believes him and he is convicted in her death. Kimble runs from the law but is vindicated in the end.

“The person who seemed to be so guilty that the locals have made this person so guilty,” attorney Linda Kenney Baden told Today Show host Meredith Vieira. “He was so hated and he ran from the law and it turns out he was innocent. In this case, we believe our client [Anthony] is innocent.”

Anthony claims Caylee was kidnapped by her babysitter, Zenaida Gonzalez, who investigators think does not exist.

“The comparison [to the television show] is for everyone has to wait. You have to stop saying someone is guilty,” Baden said.

Lead defense attorney Jose Baez said “it’s her [Anthony] against the world.”

I didn’t catch the Today Show this morning.  Did anyone watch it?  This seems like desperation to me.

Sounds like Hollywood smoke and mirrors to me. When you have to reach to the media for an example, that is a sign of being in trouble. I mean, why didn’t he pick O.J. Simpson or is that too obvious?

Yeah!!! Right!!! Give me a FREAKING break!!!! “It’s her against the world??!!?” HA HA HA HA HA!!!!

Come on now! What kindof glue are Casey Anthony’s defense attorneys sniffing????

Ummmmm . . . let’s see. Similarities between Crazy Anthony and the fugitive, Dr. Richard Kimble . . .

Did The Fugitive wait 31 days before alerting authorities? No? Really? Hmmmm . . .

Did The Fugitive search for information on how to kill his wife? No? Hmmm. . .

Well . . . Did The Fugitive go clubbing, drinking and pole-dancing while searching for his wife’s killer? No? Well, . . .

. . . you know what? There’s really no f*cking similarity at all, now is there? The skanky, smutty, stupid, slimey defense team is clutching at rotting straws. The Fugitive! Snort!

    HA HA HA HA HA!!!!

rite before she is sent to hell, she will realize that it really was not worth it,killing your daughter so you can have some freedom to go party and bar hop,I hope she had fun,in prison she will not last past the first week, other inmates will be lined up to put a shank in her,I dont think it will be in the torso or neck area, just below ther belt line, she will bleed out slowly while other inmates will laugh at her attempts to persude someone to help her,she will die slowly and painfully and all alone and that would be all right witrh me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. As much as I think she definitely did it, there is a moment when I think she didn’t. Some of the stuff makes no sense. Why would she set up password like Timer55 and say that Caylee would be returned on her birthday. If you subtract 55 days from the birthday you arrive at June 18, the day she went missing. Now that makes me think there is something else going on.

Hi, Wendy, I want to hear what is admissible in court before I make up my mind. Much of what you hear on tv is either not true or so distorted it bears little resemblance to the truth.

I would like to say if she claims she is innocent why hasn’t she taken a polygraph. If it were me I would voluntarily do it. If she is hiding something I could see why she wouldn’t. What about truth serum, if they want to get all hollywood, have her take some of that and then all the questions would be answered. I have seen alot of videos about her and I never once seen her care about anyone else but herself and it makes me sick. But there is always that chance of reasonable doubt that she may get away with it..

It would be a good comparison if there were only ONE person that nobody could find, the pretend babysitter. Unfortunately, we have an entire cast of characters who have disappeared without any trace of ever existing, despite claims of them having worked for major American companies such as Universal and Kodak.

    Zenaida Fernandez-Gonsalez
    Zenaida’s sister Samantha
    Their mother Gloria
    Jeffrey Michael Hopkins
    Zachary Hopkins, his young son
    Raquel Farrell

I may have missed a few, it’s hard to keep track of all the imaginary friends.
