Boy George sentenced to 15 months, something about a metal chain

Boy George performs “Yes, We Can” (above) in September, 08, with the voice of Barack H. Obama bleeding in with words of inspiration.

However, Boy George has run into a  little trouble.  He was jailed for 15 months for handcuffing a male escort to a wall and beating him with a metal chain, a crime for which he was convicted last month.

The former Culture Club frontman imprisoned Audun Carlsen during a drug-fuelled naked photoshoot at his flat in east London.

The victim, Norwegian, Audun Carlsen, 29, fled in his underpants and alerted police after the attack, in April of 2007.

Pepsi pushing hope and change theme

Dear Mr. President – Congrats, Homie.

On Friday, Pepsi crews will hit the streets of D.C with product samples, as well as scarves, hats and buttons that read “Hope” and “Change.” Ads with the new Pepsi logo appear in outdoor ads with such Obama-isms as “Yes, you can.”  From USA Today

This just about does it for me and Pepsi.  I’ll have a Coke, thank you.

Democrats fighting among themselves.

Senior House Democrats have a message for their Speaker: We’re mad as hell, and we’re only taking it this one last time.

As congressional Democrats take the lead in responding to the sinking economy, subcommittee and even some full-committee chairmen — who normally wield significant influence in writing legislation — have been forced to wait on the sidelines as monumental bills are written in Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) office.

See story Here.
