“I did not speak to the governor about these issues”

Obama made the following statement today, 12.11.08:

“I had no contact with the governor’s office.  I did not speak to the governor about these issues.  That I know for certain.”

(…..)

“What I’m absolutely certain about is that our office had no involvement around any deal-making, that I’m absolutely certain of.  And the — that is — that would be a violation of everything this campaign has been about.  That is not the way we do business.”

That statement is very straight forward.  He said he did not speak to the governor about these issues.  I learned a lot from our former president, Bill Clinton, and that is a direct statement – unless there is some question about what the meaning of  “speak” or “issues” is.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the video is removed from You Tube because it is from MSNBC and the networks are taking them down pretty fast, but that is a direct quote above.

Remains of Caylee Anthony May Be Found

Cross made of daisies and other flowers placed near the spot where skeletal remains of a child were found today in Orlando, Nancy Grace says only 15 houses away from the Anthony home.  It is thought to be the missing child, Caylee Anthony, missing now for about six months.  Official identification of the body has not been made.

The area was searched previously but this particular spot was mostly under water at the time, according the Tim Miller, Director of Texas EquuSearch.  Tim Miller started the Texas EquuSearch in honor of  his daughter, Laura, who was abducted and murdered in 1984.  http://www.texasequusearch.org/about_us.html

I thought it was uncanny that the body was found just the next day after Cindy and George Anthony, the child’s grandparents, made an appearance on Larry King Live.  They stated last night they really believed Caylee was still alive.  The child’s mother, Casey, is in jail and charged with the murder.

Utility worker found the remains by accident.
