Who is Really “Whipping Around Anger?”

(August 24, 2008) – Extremist, fringe left-wing militants try to recreate ’68, utter profanities, and assault FOX News team in Denver on the eve of the Democratic Convention.

Where was CNN and MSNBC?

I just watched three days of intense media coverage prompted by a few loud mouths and angry people who spoke out at a McCain/Palin rally.

CNN contributor David Gergen, who has advised Democratic and Republican presidential administrations, said Thursday that the negative tone of these rallies is “incendiary” and could lead to violence.

“There is this free floating sort of whipping around anger that could really lead to some violence. I think we’re not far from that,” he said. “I think it’s really imperative that the candidates try to calm people down.”

On Friday, Obama said the “barrage of nasty insinuations and attacks” was a result of the Republican nominee’s failed economic ideas.

Were the networks running the above clip every fifteen minutes when it happened?  Why have they only recently become so concerned about what they call negative comments, or a “negative tone” at a McCain/Palin rally?  Was anybody concerned in August about this violence or “whipping around anger that could lead to violence?”  Or this:

…..in the home of all the networks?

I just wonder if anyone called on the candidates at the time of this video to tamp it down.  I don’t think so.

And the site is beginning to look like You Tube so I won’t post any more videos for a while.  🙂
