In his new rap, Ludacris says of Hillary, “the bitch is irrelevant.” And something about McCain being paralyzed, choosing him (Ludacris) as vice president, and painting the White House black. In praise of Barack Obama, he says, “The world is ready for change because Obama is here.”
Don’t miss hearing this bit of “art” in all its glory. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Click here: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=52f_1217434061&p=1
In an immediate response, Obama spokesman Bill Burton said:
“As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate materialism and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to. This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”
But, gee, at the end of June Mr. Obama said: “I am troubled sometimes by the misogyny and materialism of a lot of rap lyrics,” he said, “but I think the genius of the art form has shifted the culture and helped to desegregate music.”
Oh, there was a little something about being troubled at times but nothing like the “outrageously offensive” that Mr. Burton speaks of. So which is it, Senator?
See previous post quoting some of the “genius” lyrics Ludacris has penned. There’s much more of the same, but this is just a little sample.
